Chapter 03: Feng Rouyun

"Feng Rouyun, I told you many times that you have no right to take a break unless you learn the dance and song for the performance! Why are you just here in the corner?!" A familiar voice from a woman wearing her usual business suit and golden-rimmed glasses is scolding a young man who was sitting on the ground of the practice room.

She was apparently the manager of the young man and based on her scolding, it’s obvious that this had happened more than that.

"Can’t you understand your situation right now? You are the new member of the Ellipsis! And even someone who was recruited by the backstage, you’re not even supposed to enter this team but here you are! Are you feeling arrogant so you didn’t practice enough?" The Manager keeps on scolding harsh words to the young man.

However, instead of being angry too, the young man just nodded and looked at the woman with a weak smile.

"I know, I’m sorry. I’ll go practice again." Then disregarding the full sweat on his back and the heavy breathing, the young man stood up to start his practice again.

"..." The Manager went silent at his obedience and couldn’t help but stare at the young man.

He’s actually way too thin and quite tall. His complexion is so white that the veins are visible on his arms. He also has a very good-looking appearance. Feng Rouyun has natural curly hair that gives him the looks of a child. However the most striking aspect of his appearance is his ocean blue eyes. It’s even the natural color even though he doesn’t have mixed blood that’s why it felt more mysterious. It added another allure but with just pure innocence. Although in contrast to this, he had this temperament that’s very different from his looks. It somehow combines the refreshing and steadiness that is clearly not fitted on his young age as a 20 year old. Yet that gave him a soothing aura that anyone couldn’t help but get close.

This is what he is right now, but she clearly remembers that on the first time they met, he didn’t have that. In addition to that same face, the temperament and such were not alike on him now. Aside from that, aren’t young man at this age has their own arrogance? Forgive her for thinking that way but in addition to the three young men she always handles everyday, she also has a younger brother in his rebellious phase. They have the same arrogance that’s very natural at their age, especially when they have reached something difficult at their age. For Feng Rouyun to manage to insert himself in a famous group without even batting an eyelid, it surely touches his arrogance right? But why does this seem like he did not?!

Ru Anyan could only be left speechless and couldn’t continue her usual scolding now. Thus, she pretended to be grumpy and left the practice room. Anyway, no matter how nice he is, she could not bring herself to treat him too good for the sake of the original members of Ellipsis.

On the other hand, when Ru Anyan left the practice room, the young man didn’t stop from practicing even when he made too many mistakes during the performance until he finished the song.

"As we write the path,

We’ll go together, holding hands until we find our home..." he finished singing the last lyrics of the song with his unstable voice and finally stopped.

He turned off the music and couldn’t help but stare at himself again in the mirror.

Familiar face yet it’s not him. The same features and even the exact color of his eyes is the same as before— an ocean blue.

As of now, even if it’s already been enough countless times that he faced the mirror and saw himself, he still couldn’t believe that he’s still alive.

When he put the last remaining energy inside the Commander-in-chief’s body, he had already prepared himself to die. Because that was his last duty as the healer.

It is his responsibility to heal the bravest soldier who once again saved the world, even if it cost him his life instead.

But here he is right now, alive again.

In another body— a different Feng Rouyun.

The young man has the same face as him but he was younger and is clearly in his youth. The temperament is also not the same as the young man was a bit gloomy and too silent, a different temperament of what a young man usually is.

For what kind of life he is right now, the young man is a new idol.

To be perhaps, he was the newly added group member of a team called Ellipsis— which was not good.

Ellipsis is known to have only three members in total, namely Yang Yueran, Gu Weiyi and Chi Xining. The name of the group is a type of punctuation mark and supposedly to have only three dots, which was everyone was enraged when they heard that a new member would jump it. Wouldn’t that ruin the name of the group itself? And what about the members themselves? Did the company even consider what they think?

The original Feng Rouyun didn’t come from a wealthy family so he didn’t enter the group with force of authority. As for how, he was simply cast by someone from the company. In the beginning, the original Feng Rouyun thought he’ll join a new group. Because he badly needed money as he was an orphan, he joined without hesitation. Feng Rouyun came from an orphanage who is not very financially stable. There are also many other small children and being one of the eldest, he wanted to help the Dean so he went outside to look for a job and just coincidentally was found.

Even though the young man has no knowledge about the work as an idol, he didn’t think much of it and decided to join anyway. When he found out that he was actually fooled and was used as a tool to a rivalry inside the company, he had no longer a choice to back out.

He grew very silent and looked gloomy because of the circumstances he experienced. Furthermore, he wasn’t even skilled that much in dancing and singing. The young man has a good voice but he never sings nor dances.

Due to the immense pressure and anxiety he’ll face upon the time he needs to go on stage, this drove the young man to self-harm himself. That was also the time he came and started living in this new life.

Feng Rouyun doesn’t have any knowledge either, but when he crossed over, the young man had already signed the contract and became a member of Ellipsis. Thus leaving him no choice but to grit his teeth and do his best to become an idol.

But how could the Master Healer of interstellar know these things? Never in his life did Feng Rouyun experience this.

Ever since he was young, he was seen as someone who has the highest potential to become a powerful healer and thus he was exclusively trained after that. He never sings or dances in front of many people. Feng Rouyun doesn’t even have a proper childhood as he was used to living in a secluded place where he was protected every second of his life because he was someone that the world needed to survive.

He had seen their courage and willpower to protect their home planet. He had seen their sacrifices, their wounds and even deaths just to fulfill the oath they took. Their planet hasn’t had a peaceful time throughout many years. They had been constantly in danger and had to guard their safety so Feng Rouyun naturally knew every story.

So how could he think about anything else other than promising himself to cure them? Feng Rouyun never regretted his decision to turn his back to become an ordinary person.

It was his choice from the beginning so he took responsibility for it.

Just like what is happening now in his new life. Since he took over this body, he will also be responsible for what he did in the past and one of it is to become an idol.
