Chapter 10: Quarrel

Feng Rouyun looked at the new face in front of him and confirmed once again that he has another black cloud above him and it’s darker too, the same with Gu Weiyi.

Now that he knew he had the ability, he was now curious about how mental pollution works in this world. How did it start? What are the symptoms? What causes and how it affects? And is there also a way to cure it? Feng Rouyun wanted answers on his questions but he knew that even if he asked, what he received was the same as the forum answered.

After that small introduction, Ru Ziyan seems to not care about him anymore and just takes a seat on a nearby couch and pulls out his phone. Seconds later, the sounds of clashing like swords and explosions rang.

"What’s happening? Is there a war on the border now? How’s the situation?!" He anxiously questioned continuously and even started to grip Ru Ziyan’s sleeves. "Do you know how to get there? Can you take me?"

All of the sudden, the thought of himself in this life to live new was thrown at the back of his mind without hesitation. All he could think of now was to go to the battlefield and help the comrades just like in the past, even if it means carrying the same responsibilities again.

The game on Ru Ziyan’s phone was disrupted by Feng Rouyun and because he was stunned, Ru Ziyan didn’t control his character and it was quickly besieged by the enemies. He was caught off guard and stared dumbfounded at the young man and only came back to his senses when he heard the game notification sounded game over.

His irritation rose. "Are you crazy?! What the heck are you talking about?!" He shot glares at Feng Rouyun. Is he out of his mind?!

The latter grabbed his phone but froze when he looked at the screen. "What is this?"

He huffed in anger. "What is this?! No, what are you even doing?!" He even stood up in annoyance and continued glaring at Feng Rouyun.

"I-Isn’t there a war going on?"

He looked at the young man with disbelief. "Are you sick in the head?!"

Feng Rouyun looked more at loss and pointed to his phone. "T-That..."

"This?!" Ru Ziyan raised his phone incredulously. "This is just a game! A game!"

"Game?" The young man’s eyes widened with confusion and innocence.

"Hah!" Ru Ziyan felt like he was losing his mind at this moment. Did the company hire not just a minor but a fool? How could anyone not know that this was just a game? Even treating it as a real war? Or is he just sick in the head?!

He wanted to scold the young man again because not only did he disturb his game but he felt like he was deliberately doing that yet when his eyes set on him and saw the genuine confusion and anxiety on his face, he was just completely speechless.

Just as he was about to say something, the door opened behind them and he saw his sister enter.

Ru Anyan frowned when she saw Feng Rouyun standing but her eyes widened when she saw the latter’s hand bleeding.

"Why are you bleeding?!" She grabbed the young man’s hand in shock and her anger came back again as she turned to Ru Ziyan. "What did you do?! Are you causing trouble again?!"

"No way!" Ru Ziyan defended himself. "I did not!"

But she didn’t listen and quickly called for a nurse before pulling the young man on his bed. "Why are you out of your bed? I told you to rest because you need to go back tomorrow in your best state!"

"Y-Yeah, I’m sorry," Feng Rouyun looked apologetic so she could only exhale helplessly and didn’t continue scolding him anymore. She turned again at her brother with her usual sharp glare.

"Apologize to him!"

Ru Ziyan was even angrier. "Why would I? I didn’t do anything to him! It was just him who suddenly stood up and even disturbed my game!"

"Oh come on! You’re always making trouble everywhere so don’t cover it up!" She obviously didn’t believe him and even started reprimanding him for playing that game again. "And I told you that you cannot play trash games like that again! Hasn’t your life been ruined enough because of that?! Stop it!"

Ru Ziyan sneered. "Ruin? That’s just because of you! It was just you who wanted to control everything!"

"Isn’t it just for your future? If not because you keep on ruining your life, why would I do that?!"

"Tsk! Liar!"

Their argument became more intense and Feng Rouyun felt even more anxious because he could see the black clouds on their heads start getting darker again. The familiar movement as if there was a brewing storm coming by and all he could sense was danger and danger.
