[BL] Debut on Earth After Retiring as the Healer of Interstellar

Chapter 2 - 02: Sacrifice

Chapter 02: Sacrifice

Wen Zheyuan didn’t speak anymore after he said that but just tightened his grip on him. They run and run while avoiding the war on the side until they come to the mecha that the latter is using.

"Commander!" The soldiers who saw him called him and were shocked when they saw Feng Rouyun.

"Healer Feng!" They anxiously greeted each other.

"Move towards the hideout of the Zerg Queen. We must finish this once and for all." Wen Zheyuan commanded and the soldiers didn’t even hesitate to shout yes as they quickly flew with their mechas.

Wen Zheyuan opened the cockpit and went inside the mecha while still carrying him. He unceremoniously put him on his lap as his hands went to the command system.

"Sorry for the situation." He said.

"It’s okay." Feng Rouyun tightens his grip on his clothes. Wen Zheyuan paused for a bit before he took his hands and put them on his arms.

"Your grip is too light. Tighten it again."

"Okay..." then he could only hold the man’s arms and stayed still as possible as Wen Zheyuan started maneuvering his mecha.

In the next moment, Feng Rouyun felt like he was fighting the Zergs personally in his face to face position.

As how Wen Zheyuan mercilessly fights with the larger and powerful Zergs using his mecha and exerts strength as fast as possible to go to the hideout.

The surroundings turned so bloody and disgusting that Feng Rouyun felt nauseous. He wanted to look away and close his eyes but he forced himself not to.

He has to look at this.

He must face this because this is their reality. Whatever may happen to him and everyone, he must see it.

"You can close your eyes." Wen Zheyuan’s voice sounded above his head. Feng Rouyun tightens his hold on his arm and slowly shakes his head.

"Never," he whispered as his eyes turned firmer.

He will even face death later, why would he be scared of this sight?

Wen Zheyuan didn’t speak to him after that as he was busy commanding the soldiers around them. As they flew closer to the Zerg Queen’s hideout, Feng Rouyun noticed that Wen Zheyuan’s breathing became harder and deeper.

He was sweating even more and because they were too close to each other, he could hear the loud beating of his heart as if it wanted to get out of his chest.

He’s getting weaker too.

Feng Rouyun removes his hands on him and raises it slowly to put it on the man’s head.

Wen Zheyuan stiffened at his actions but didn’t say anything. He places his palm at the back of the man’s head so it won’t hinder and begin releasing his spiritual energy. The pollution on his head is darker than anybody else.

He had certainly tried to heal him of course. He was the strongest healer and this man is the commander-in-chief. His pollution must be cleaned the most so they had met each other many times. It’s just that for the man’s character, he was too cold and polite so they would only go straight to the healing process and end it that way without saying anything aside from greetings and simple thank you.

They don’t really know each other aside from their identity who are both top figures in the federation.

Anyway, this time is probably the darkest time where the man’s mental pollution is the worst.

If it gets worse, it will only be a matter of time before he will lose himself and burst into extreme craziness.

Wen Zheyuan will die.

He cannot even heal the man, especially in his state right now. But this is the last resort. For now, he can only increase his time to stay sane but they cannot change the ending.

Thus, before his spiritual energy totally runs out or the man’s body will give up, they have to find the Zerg Queen as soon as possible to kill it.

"Ready." Wen Zheyuan directed when they finally saw it. He proceeded on giving instructions to the other soldiers before another wave of fighting came again.

Feng Rouyun poured his spiritual energy even more to help. Even though he can feel himself getting weaker and weaker, he continues.

His sweating became heavier and so was his breathing too. The cramp position inside the mecha became even less breathable for him and he baldly wanted to smell the fresh air again. However, all he could breath was the scent of blood from the Zergs and the man beside him.

Cough. Feng Rouyun suddenly coughed and he felt the rusty taste inside his mouth. He’s coughing blood.

Wen Zheyuan smelled the different scent of blood and knew it was from the young man on his arms. His hands on the mecha tighten as he moves more aggressively to fight.

Feng Rouyun’s blood coughing continues and his hold on Wen Zheyuan’s head loosen a bit.

The delivery of his spiritual energy also began dropping in and he could feel himself getting too hollowed from draining himself too much.

"Hold it." Wen Zheyuan speaks in a low voice and he could only smile bitterly.

"I-I can’t..." he tries to answer but only coughs harder.

"The Queen is here," the man said. Feng Rouyun tries his best to open his eyes wide and turn his head towards the direction that he pointed.

There, he saw a large white worm squirming in the center of other Zergs. There are also countless eggs beside her and it’s obvious that it’s commanding her insects to fight them.

"... Will it take long?" he asked.

"No. I won’t take it long." Wen Zheyuan answered and he nodded lightly.

"Then I’ll hold on until you win."

"Good."

In the next moment, Wen Zheyuan began exerting his full remaining strength to fight. His movements were merciless, fast and always on point to attack the fatal parts of the Zergs.

Feng Rouyun also forced himself to send every bit of energy inside his body until such time, when the man finally had the chance to get close to the Queen, he took that as the opportunity to launch continuous attacks.

The Zerg Queen screamed in pain and tried to fight back but since it was actually born weak and only has the physique to produce eggs, it has no power to counterattack except for its mental power.

With the last bit of energy from the Queen, it exerted a wave of mental attack to the both of them before it slowly lost its strength.

Wen Zheyuan didn’t stop from firing shots even when the Zerg Queen fell down and remained immobile on the ground.

And only when he felt Feng Rouyun’s hand fall from his head did he stop.

After confirming that the Zerg Queen died and the other Zergs outside started running away, he let his mecha down on the ground.

When he felt that there was no danger around, Wen Zheyuan let himself go and coughed a large amount of blood from his throat.

The blood fell on the young man on his arms but this time, he could no longer feel him moving.

This made Wen Zheyuan still. He slowly lowered his head but could not see his face so he raised his exhausted hand to hold the young man’s face and raise it for him to see.

Feng Rouyun’s eyes are half-closed already.

Wen Zheyuan stared at his face and spoke in a low and hoarse tone. "It’s done."

A small smile appeared on Feng Rouyun’s lips. "Is it?"

"Hmm..."

"... Okay."

With the final effort that he could make, Feng Rouyun put his hand on the man’s chest and felt his heartbeat. He spread the last drop of energy inside him and when he felt the man’s heart getting stronger, Feng Rouyun let go of himself.

He closed his eyes and only the beat of the man’s heart was the last thing he felt before he fell out of consciousness.
