[BL] Debut on Earth After Retiring as the Healer of Interstellar

Chapter 28: Deal

Chapter 28: Deal

"Feng Rouyun, I want to make a deal with you."

Yang Yueran’s words snapped Gu Weiyi from Feng Rouyun’s doing and quickly moved himself away, feeling a bit bewildered because he really felt what Yang Yueran said earlier. It further confirms that what he said was true! This Feng Rouyun can do something tricky!

"Deal?"

Yang Yueran nods. "I don’t know your reasons why you didn’t agree with our offer to double the company’s payment to you for this contract but since you’ve already decided, then from now on... Ellipsis will try our best to accept you in the group."

"???"

"!!!"

Both of them were completely stunned, especially with the last words that Yang Yueran just said.

"What?!" Gu Weiyi stood abruptly, his eyes wide. "Brother Ran, are you serious?!" He asked incredulously.

Yang Yueran didn’t heed the latter and just faced Feng Rouyun. His eyes were solemn and his stance was calm.

Feng Rouyun himself was also astonished at the sudden reverse words but he also remembered the first thing he said.

Yang Yueran said he wants a deal. If he can decide to accept his existence in the group, then on what condition too?

He sighs. "What’s your condition?"

"I want you to continue using that to us." Yang Yueran stated his demand straightforwardly.

"!!!" But they were even more shocked at his words.

"Brother Ran!" Gu Weiyi snapped. "Didn’t you say that he was hypnotizing us?! That’s like controlling us! So why are you asking him to do that again?!"

Gu Weiyi just couldn’t believe what he heard. Didn’t he react aggressively earlier and even spoke harsh words to Feng Rouyun?! That was clearly telling them how much he disliked Feng Rouyun’s attempt at them! And he also thought that after that, Brother Ran would do everything he can to force the young man out of the group.

But why is he doing the opposite?!

However the man didn’t recognize his words and was just waiting for Feng Rouyun’s answer. This made him snap again as if something inside him clicked on a realization.

"You!" He turns to Feng Rouyun and grabs the young man’s arm. "Why is Brother Ran like this?! Did you manipulate him?! Did you use hypnotism to change his mind?!"

As he goes into his words, he feels his mind go clearer and clearer. He felt like he finally figured out what’s going on right now.

He must have used that again to manipulate Brother Ran! He must have brainwashed him so he could agree to be in the group!

No! I have to stop him!

Just as he was about to continue confronting the latter, Yang Yueran stepped forward and removed his hand on Feng Rouyun’s.

"A’Wei, stop it. I know what I’m doing."

"You knew?" Gu Weiyi didn’t buy his words. "You just suddenly changed your mind! All of the sudden you accept him as a member and even want him to continue his shady things! Tell me what’s not wrong with that, Brother Ran?!"

Yang Yueran exhaled a breath but didn’t answer him.

"Will you agree with that?"

"... I don’t understand why you chose this condition." Feng Rouyun of course knew that that condition was favorable for him. He can not only join the group officially but can now openly use his ability to them.

This not only in line with his new goal but also to his past responsibility as a healer.

However he just couldn’t understand this. How did Yang Yueran change his mind all of the sudden?

"You don’t have to know." Unexpectedly the man didn’t want to answer him. "Just say so if you agree."

"... Okay." Either way, it was not really Feng Rouyun’s loss.

Yang Yueran just nodded and left the living room.

"Tch!" Gu Weiyi was annoyed and could only scoff at Feng Rouyun before quickly following Yang Yueran to his room.

.....

"Brother Ran!" Gu Weiyi barges in at Yang Yueran’s room and immediately questions the latter. "Why did you do that?"

Yang Yueran didn’t immediately answer and signaled him to close the door. They sit on a couch in his room.

"I have my reasons, A’Wei. And this is not just for me, it’s for us."

"How so?" Gu Weiyi still didn’t understand. "You knew that he was very lacking. He can’t do something properly and that will only ruin the group. He can’t keep up that fast."

Yang Yueran knew he had a point. No matter how Feng Rouyun practices, he cannot just stand in the same position as them that fast. Based on his small demonstration last time, he was really having a hard time.

And that’s a total bad shot for them.

The company had long wanted to control them even more. Now with such a ’chip’ they can find nonsense reasons again to postpone many things they’ve once promised, just like how they disregard Chu Xining’s song.

Furthermore, it will surely backfire. The entertainment industry is very complicated— but one thing for sure, you have to do everything to stay in everyone’s eyes.

People are forgetful, especially for casual fans who can just climb as many walls as they can. There’ll be solid fans but with this field, you have to stay in front.

What’s more was this additional member. Fans will not accept it like how he did earlier. It can also backfire on them. The moment fans know they ’accept’ Feng Rouyun, they will feel betrayal and might turn them down too.

Overall, the condition is never on their side.

So how could he propose that?

As the leader of Ellipsis, Yang Yueran never wanted this trouble for them.

But as a brother to Gu Weiyi and Chu Xining, he also knows something better than anyone else.

They need Feng Rouyun’s ability.

Whether this was just a fraud or not, they need him.

Throughout the four years of debut, the three of them fought many battles together and individually. Yang Yueran knows better than anyone else how they suffered from different challenges.

Hatred, criticisms, pressure, blackmail, death threat, controlled, and to the extent of self-harming— that was them for four years.

The cruelty on the path they chose was more merciless and ruthless. There was never a chance for them to breathe. Any second, everything they worked hard can just be ruined.

There was no pity here, only resilience and endurance. Not only to the high pressure from competitors but also from the people you wanted to connect— the fans.

And for the four years, they’ve stayed in hell more than they could just remember.

Pain, despair, and to the point of loathing themselves were like a curse that never left them.
