Chapter 18: Chu Xining’s Anger

After the small discussion, Director Cha and Producer Na also left the room.

Feng Rouyun turns to Ru Anyan.

"Sister Ru, did I overstep?" The young man was really worried and even thought that maybe he was just overthinking about his observation to the group.

Ru Anyan gives him a smile. "Don’t worry about it, Rouyun. What you did was very good."

"Xining, it can’t be possible for now." The man didn’t even look apologetic while saying those words and instead looked arrogant.

"I said why?!"

"I’m really sorry," he apologized without any sincerity. He happened to glance at the window on the door and saw the new member of the group looking at them.

He smirks, a malice flash on his eyes and casually drops a sentence to Chu Xining.

"You know, it’s actually possible in the past. Otherwise how could we not approve it? However since you have a new member who needs more time, you need adjustments and changes inside. It can’t just happen fast, right? The company believes that it’s better for you to focus on spending time with the new member than this one." He patted the young man as if sending comfort.

Meanwhile outside the room, Ru Anyan heard the words and instantly flared up.

And just as she expected when he said those words, Chu Xining’s temper blew up and saw him coming towards them.

"!!!" She immediately wanted Feng Rouyun away but Chu Xining was fast and slammed the door open.

And without any warning, he grabs the young man’s collar with his eyes looking cold and livid.

"!!!" She gasped.

"Chu Xining!" She shouted in horror and quickly grabbed the latter’s arm and tried to shake him off but he wouldn’t budge and continued glaring at Feng Rouyun.

"It’s all your fault!" Chu Xining snapped at Feng Rouyun, his grip on the young man’s collar tightening.

"If it weren’t for you how could they let this happen!" He continues.

"Chu Xining!" Ru Anyan gets anxious. "Stop this!"

"Why can’t you just quit?! You need money, right? I can pay you double or even more than that, just leave!"

"...." Feng Rouyun didn’t say anything and stared at Chu Xining. He could see the emotions in the young man’s eyes while glaring at him.

Frustration, anger, helplessness and disappointment. All of it was now openly displayed on him.

He couldn’t help but clench his hand and feel into his thoughts again.

Was it really wrong? Was he mistaken? Was this really his fault? Is it really not right for him to choose this path? Did he really choose the wrong decision?

For such a long time that he couldn’t remember properly, a sense of familiarity arose inside him when his heart tightened up.
