Chapter 29: Help

Gu Weiyi received too much unnecessary hate because of his personality. Even on their survival show, he wasn’t ’accepted’ due to his differences. He was a bit ’soft’ and too smart. Yang Yueran can say that he was one of the toughest contenders because of his cunningness but people are more focused on how he was different from them.

They consider that as a stain rather than a uniqueness.

He had received too many death threats on their earlier debut, demanding him to get out of the group— cursing him non-stop and pointing out every action that he makes.

As for Chu Xining, he received hate too due to his personality. They say he was too arrogant because of the ’spotlight’ he has as the son of a well-known figure in the entertainment industry. He was accused of using his parents name and was never considered as someone who just worked hard.

They just say it’s just because of the privilege he had, not for his skills and endless practice.

As for him, Yang Yueran felt the same. At that time he was used to being alone. Even at his training period, albeit he has many co-trainers, he never labels them as friends only colleagues and maybe someone he can ’connect’ in the future. He resembles a lone wolf— one without a pack and companion.

But Yang Yueran could see them getting out of control.

They’ve become more hot-headed and impulsive, like how they easily target Feng Rouyun. One perfect example was what just happened. Chu Xining was never like that even though he was attached to Sister Ru.

Yang Yueran thought that they need that ’ability’ to calm themselves.

Honestly they don’t have enough consideration if something might happen to them. If Feng Rouyun can use this to manipulate them, it’s their loss.

However he experienced it himself.

Yang Yueran still remembers the feeling of relief inside his head. His mind was clear— the worries he’d been carrying were lifted up.

"But Brother Ran," Gu Weiyi listened to his explanation and went silent for a moment before asking. "What about the fans?"

His eyebrow raised. "It’s no longer our problem. It’s his responsibility to do something to be accepted by the fans. For now, let’s just do our job, to help him."

Gu Weiyi clucks his tongue inside his mouth. He’s chronically online and knows the mess on the internet. He knew better how their fans hate Feng Rouyun.

This made him smirk. "Since he’s so eager to stay then let him be."

Anyway, I believe the fans will disappoint us.

Hours later, Ru Anyan called them to tell them that Chu Xining’s condition was stabilized and he could go back to the dormitory tomorrow. Before hanging up, she also didn’t forget to warn them not to cause trouble anymore, which Yang Yueran assured.

"Well, Sister Ru, rest assured that that won’t happen again." Gu Weiyi said but they just heard a snort before she hung up on them, obviously not believing their words.

"Tomorrow, wake up early and meet us in the gym." Yang Yueran announced to Feng Rouyun.

The young man blinked. "Gym?"

"Yes. Since I’ve promised to accept you in the group, then I’ll also have the responsibility to teach you." Yang Yueran told him. "A’Wei and A’Xi will also help you."

Gu Weiyi pouts at the last words but also nods when Yang Yueran glances at him.

"Yes, like Brother Ran said we’ll help you too. What you have to do is to build stamina tomorrow." Gu Weiyi reluctantly agreed. "Have you watched everything about us?"

Feng Rouyun nodded.

Feng Rouyun went back to his room, still confused about the sudden reversal.
