Chapter 14: Meet

"In a minute you will meet them." Ru Anyan whispered to Feng Rouyun. After the chaos the other day, she had been constantly worrying that those girls might leak pictures of the young man. Feng Rouyun hadn’t even proved anything himself and she actually felt a bit bad if everyone continued tarnishing the young man.

After days of taking care of him, Ru Anyan admitted that she somehow developed affection towards him. He’s like her dream younger brother that she would protect at all cost of her life. The days they spent together were enough for her to know the young man’s character. He was unlike what everyone thought of at all. He was very kind, well-behaved and there seems something on him that gives her a soothing vibes, washing away the stress she had.

Such a lovely kid who was unfortunate to be the victim of the company’s schemes.

Ru Anyan is very worried about the group’s attitude. She knew their stubbornness and pride. She knew their hard work and sacrifices that no one talks about behind the spotlight so she understands that even if she sees Feng Rouyun as good, it was still not enough to just be in the group.

No matter what, Ellipsis became where they are because of the three. It’s never easy to let someone just stand beside them like what’s happening right now.

It’s just that for now— even after four years, they have no voice.

Currently they are in a conference room where a meeting will be held about the changes of the group and also for the new album where Feng Rouyun will participate.

The director, producers and staff are already here but the atmosphere is very silent. They’re just whispering softly at each other but Feng Rouyun actually senses their constant sneaking to peek at him. He remained calm though because he was more worried about the three.

If their fans couldn’t accept him and despise him that much, what’s more about themselves, right? Gu Weiyi’s offer last time also proved him that point.

Actually he thought about the offer for a long time before deciding on a risk that he never has any confidence in. He wanted to take the risk and be in the group.

He didn’t even know what good will happen to him but just as the thought of quitting, he felt unreconciled. He doesn’t know when he hasn’t even proven a chance yet and everyone has the right to point at him, but Feng Rouyun just wants to.

"They are here!" A staff member’s voice woke him from reverie and they looked towards the door where he saw three young men go inside.

Feng Rouyun stared at them. He knew their name and face but seeing them in person feels a bit different.

The first one he saw was Yang Yueran, the eldest and the leader. He looks tall and the intimidating aura around him was the first one you’ll notice. He also looks a bit masculine compared to the other two and his sharp features truly makes him more cold and domineering. What stood out to him the most was his chiseled jaw and pointed nose that made him somehow different from the usual soft features of idols. He was wearing a black turtleneck that looks abstinent yet the plain ring-like golden earring shines on his left ear only. When he caught his eyes, he was met with coldness and scrutiny.

The next one was Chu Xining, the youngest. He was actually the tallest among them and his appearance was mixed with softness and wildness. Even with his tall physique and cool fashion sense— black leather coat and ripped leather pants, gray shirt inside and a thin chain-like silver necklace, there was still a hint of childishness in his temperament. It’s like a child who had gone through hardships but the appearance delayed his full maturity a bit. The striking part of him was the tiny moles on different parts of his face— two side by side on his right cheek, one near on his right eye, another two that’s a bit far on his left temple and there’s even one on his left nape. It added a touch of uniqueness and rebellion around him.

The last one was Gu Weiyi, the second eldest. When Gu Weiyi visited him, he was focused on the black cloud above him so he didn’t observe him carefully. Now that he faces him, he finally understands why his fans call him the visual of the group. He looked the whitest and his skin was fair. Unlike the two, he has more like a cunning temperament. His eyes seem to be smiling but he also has sharp features. He is lean and slim unlike the two but there’s still muscles formed due to the endless dancing and training. Right now, he’s wearing a sleeveless plain white shirt and a silver plain on his thumb finger which was a bit inconsistent to the fox-like smile on his face. It emphasizes his wild and untamed nature.

"...." For a moment, the room fell into a deep silence.

The people around couldn’t help but look at the three and Feng Rouyun repeatedly and just felt speechless. Their physical features, temperament— everything! Feng Rouyun and Ellipsis are too different!

If Ellipsis are wild and untamed, Feng Rouyun is like a good child, well-behaved and obedient. It’s really like putting a sheep on a pack of wolves. Unsuitable and dangerous!

Damn, if the company wants to insert someone, shouldn’t they at least find someone who had the same temperament that could fit the group instead? This is way too difficult! That bastard who schemed against them, was he really that desperate to sabotage the group?!

In the end, it was Yang Yueran himself who broke the awkwardness and spoke coldly. "What does the higher-up decide?"

Others snap back to their senses and speaking of it, the directors and producers themselves felt a headache coming to them. They are in charge of the group, whether the concept, theme and the music videos for them, it was them who had painstakingly created it. They’ve also had a flow to follow for every album and it was set way back years ago before the debut, now that there’s one to add, they had been adding and reversing non-stop just to align everything again.

"It’s like this," Director Cha starts the discussion. "Ellipsis had been following the main concept about vigilante. All the albums are about the different journeys between different timelines and places..."

Feng Rouyun attentively listened to the discussion.
