It was surprising that Zoe did not try to stop me. It was as if she was letting me speak however I wanted.

Or maybe she realized that if she talked too much, I would kick her out.

"This is not how you used to speak to me," Lady Vivian mumbled, finally realizing she had been fooled.

"Yeah, because that is what happens when you push someone too far. Even the nicest people in the world change how they treat you," I replied with a shrug.

"It is all on you. Not my fault." I glared her right in the eye.

"Now, if you would please let me eat and give me some peace," I hissed at the two women.

Markus did not dare speak because he knew that if he did, I would expose his secret.

"This is unbearable. Let my son come. I will tell him how you were speaking to me," Lady Vivian snapped.

"You must have lost your mind. All the praise must have gotten into your head."

She kept yelling at me, so I slammed my hand on the table.

She immediately went silent.

"This is my house. You cannot stand here and speak to me like that. Do you hear me?" I screamed at her.

I watched her hand slowly rise to her mouth and cover it.

She was shaking badly, probably from anger or from the force of my voice.

"Now, if you do not want to eat, then leave," I yelled again.

"And you too. Leave with your mother before I kick you both out of my house."

I watched Zoe quickly stand and wrap her arms around her mother, trying to pull her away.

"Zoe, how can she speak to us like that? We have done so much for her," Lady Vivian complained, now turning to speak to her daughter because she realized nothing she said was making any difference to me.

"She has always been this way. Just admit that we got fooled," Zoe told her mother while I rolled my eyes at them for being so dramatic.

"But why? Why is she doing this? Was all that sweet talk a lie?" her mother complained.

I was honestly getting annoyed now. All I wanted was a good feast in peace.

This is exactly why I wanted them gone. Their drama was too much for a pregnant lady like me.

I mean, I had only gotten a few hours of peace until those little minions woke up, and then it would be a whole cycle of me going through a headache once again.

"She is using such a tone. This is not how she used to act with us," I heard Lady Vivian complain to her daughter, crying softly at the insult I had given her in front of everyone.

"And while you are at it, pack your bags," I added.

"I do not want to see your irritating faces again."

I hissed the words and leaned back in my seat, continuing to eat while Lady Vivian’s crying faded into the distance.

"Wow, that was brutal," Markus remarked once the two had left.

"Well, I will be even more brutal if you do not convince your wife to leave," I replied.

"Because the next time we sit at this table, I will play the videos for them."

I watched him stare at me in disbelief.

Did he really think we were on the same side?

"It seems Kash really lost the good one," Markus said.

His comment left my jaw hanging open.

He stood, tossed his napkin onto the table, and walked away.

He was lucky I still needed him to get rid of Zoe and her mother.

And I suppose the worst punishment for Zoe was that she remained married to a man who was cheating on her.

That was the only reason I had not played the videos yet.

But once Zoe conceived a child with him, that was when I would show the videos.

Their perfect relationship would be destroyed forever.

After I finished my lunch, I went ahead to rest a little in my room, because I had ordered a bunch of stuff and I was going to change the entire furniture in the living room too.

By the time dinner arrived, I knew Kash would be coming home, and I also knew that Lady Vivian and Zoe would be waiting at the door to tell him what I had done to them.

Of course they were not going to let go of this matter, but I was one step ahead.

Once I noticed Kash’s car parking in the driveway, I rushed upstairs to my room and ran back to my bed, remembering all the acting lessons I had taken so that I could form tears in my eyes.

I soon heard some crying and yelling from the first floor, probably Zoe and her mother trying to explain to Kash how I had insulted them.

Then I heard frantic footsteps coming upstairs, and the first one to arrive was none other than Lady Vivian, who slammed the door open while Kash and Zoe followed right behind her.

"She insulted us!" Lady Vivian yelled, pointing at me.

However, the minute Kash entered the room, I lifted my head from my hands and showed him my teary face.

"Kash–you’re home," I whimpered, barely able to get up and almost looking like I was going to fall down.

Lady Vivian and Zoe seemed to be in shock at the way I dramatically tried to get up but then tripped on the bed.

Kash rushed forward to hold me in his arms, and when he steadied me, I placed my hands on his chest and dramatically lifted my head like I had no energy left in my body.

"Why are they doing this to me? I’m not even Iris," I murmured weakly.

"I did not even say anything to them, but today they were so rude to me."

With that, I started crying nonstop. 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎

Kash’s face turned red as he turned around to look at his family.

"We didn’t do anything. What the fuck is she talking about?" Lady Vivian yelled, pointing at me.

"She is shaking, Mother. This is definitely not acting," Kash hissed at his mother as he noticed how my body was trembling.

"But we didn’t do anything. She was the one screaming at us. I already told you what she said to us at the lunch table," Lady Vivian tried to explain again.

I sniffled and curled my fingers against Kash’s chest, holding the fabric of his shirt between my fingers.

"I was speaking with Zoe today," I said weakly.

"I told her that Markus wanted to move out of here and find a home and work so that they could start a family, and suddenly your mother and sister started attacking me." I paused to fake tears and hiccup.

"What? That is not true! We never did that," Lady Vivian instantly snapped, trying to stop me from spinning the narrative.

I grunted, looking at Kash with hopeless eyes.

"They won’t even let me finish," I complained, my lips curling down dramatically.

"Because you are lying," Lady Vivian snapped.

But Kash responded quickly, giving his mother a harsh glare.

"Let her speak. You will have your turn," he said to his mother.

I could already tell she was scared of how much I was going to twist this tale now.

"They were getting into my face, and your mother even held my face in her fingers and dug her nails into my skin." I showed him my cheek where marks lay.

I had planted those marks myself.

Kash looked at his mother with nothing but shock in his eyes.

Lady Vivian and Zoe seemed shocked as well, not because they were getting exposed, but because they knew how blatantly I was lying.

"That is not true! Do you think I would do something like that?" his mother cried.

She sounded exhausted that Kash was letting me speak so much that I was able to spin the narrative easily.

"I said let her finish," Kash demanded from his mother, his jaw clenching.

Zoe steadily held her mother’s arm, letting her know she was angering Kash by constantly intervening.

"She screamed at me and told me that I had no right to make any decisions, but I wasn’t making any decisions, I was only suggesting."

I started crying helplessly again.

"I only wanted to save Zoe’s relationships. You tell me, did I cross any line?" I cried in hiccups, watching Kash look at his family with disappointment.

"She’s lying! Why would I ever do that?" Lady Vivian screamed at the top of her lungs.

"Haven’t you done that before?" I whispered.

As soon as I said that, I watched Kash’s face turn pale because he probably remembered that’s what they had to Iris.

And I’m pretty sure Iris must have told him about their actions too. I mean, it was visible on his face.

Lady Vivian’s eyes widened while Zoe covered her mouth with her hands. The real fun had just begun.
