Alpha's Lost Luna Returns With His Twins

Kash took care of everyone’s wounds. After we left the East, he made us stay behind for a while.

He booked a hotel for an hour or two, where he tended to my father, Luca, and my children’s injuries. I did not have any visible wounds, so I did not need treatment.

But my heart was badly hurt.

Once again, I was going back to a place that was not truly a home. I was frustrated, annoyed, and overwhelmed with emotions.

Our journey began again and did not stop until we arrived at the so-called home.

"Come on, kids," Kash urged as he carried them both once the car stopped in front of the main mansion.

"If it’s okay with you, I would like to go straight to the guest house," I requested in a dry tone, but the look Kash gave me said enough.

It felt like a warning not to speak up, or at least to stay quiet for a while. I frowned at him for it, but I followed him anyway. Everyone else had already stepped out of the car.

"Kash!"

I heard Lara’s voice, full of happiness and cheer as always. She rushed out with her arms open, wearing a short black dress, almost as if she had heard he was returning and had gotten ready.

But the moment she noticed the children in Kash’s arms, her steps slowed. She stopped before reaching him, her arms dropping to her sides.

"Oh, you found them. Oh my God, that is such good news," she exclaimed.

Then, as if a switch had flipped, she smiled again and gently reached for Amy’s cheek.

Amy hid her face against her father’s shoulder, avoiding Lara’s touch.

That small action made Lara look slightly offended, but she quickly forced another smile.

"Let’s take them inside. They must be starving," she remarked dramatically, mentioning how they had been trapped in the East.

Of course, word had already spread that Kash had found the children, though I doubted she had heard how little fighting had actually happened.

She stayed in her own excitement until she looked past Kash, and a frown appeared on her face.

"Iris?" she questioned, saying my name.

As expected, Zoe and Kash’s mother rushed out behind her. Before I could stop them, Zoe took the children from Kash.

His mother lifted Colin while Zoe picked up Amy, and my children, for some reason, went willingly with them.

I rushed forward to stop it, but Lara stepped in my path.

She folded her arms across her chest.

"Why is she wearing a wedding gown? What is going on? Why did you bring her back? She’s the one who took the children, took them into dangerous territory, almost cost them their lives, and you brought her back in a wedding gown? Did you two get married?" Lara demanded in one breath, refusing to move aside as she turned her head to look at Kash as well.

"Lara, she is the mother of my children, and no, we did not get married," Kash explained in a tired tone. It eased her worry for only a few seconds before it returned.

"Why is she back? You should throw her in a cell for running away with an Alpha King’s children again," she demanded.

"Is that why you brought me back? So you could let your wife humiliate me and decide my fate?" I snapped at Kash.

The way he turned toward me showed his surprise, as if he had not expected me to return to myself so quickly, my old tone came back again.

The threats were gone. My son was no longer linked to my brother. The videos with Luca were gone too. There was nothing holding me back anymore.

"And she’s able to argue back," Lara remarked, folding her arms and clicking her tongue as if proud of herself.

"I’m not ashamed of anything. I did leave. And don’t act like you weren’t happy that I did," I hissed, watching her eyes widen as if she could not believe my audacity.

"Don’t forget, my husband is the one who saved you and your children," she replied, pointing at her chest.

I smirked, not because I liked her tone, but because her husband now knew she was not as gentle or loving toward my children as she pretended to be.

"My children, Lara. They’re my children too," Kash corrected firmly.

Lara swallowed and turned to him.

"Of course, but why is she back? Is she staying in the guest house again?" she asked, wrapping her fingers around his arm as he stood with his arms crossed.

Before I could say I did not want the guest house either, Kash spoke.

"No," he replied flatly.

Lara placed a hand on her chest and let out a relieved breath, but it vanished when he continued.

"She’ll be staying in the main mansion with me, in our old bedroom."

With that, Kash grabbed my arm and shoved past Lara, dragging me toward the mansion.

"Wait, no. I’m not staying with you," I protested, watching him roll his eyes and shake his head.

"Walkin, please help Lord Mathew, Luca, and James into the guest house. I’ll see you in the morning. Right now, my wife is out of control," Kash remarked.

They only nodded as if this was normal.

"Wait, I don’t want to go with you. What’s the difference between my brother and my mother forcing me to marry Luca and you taking me to your bedroom?" I demanded, crossing my arms and tapping my foot. Saving me did not mean he owned me.

"Wait, she has a brother?" Lara commented from behind me.

"Walkin, do what I said. Take her father to the guest house," Kash instructed sharply.

"She has a father too," Lara added, throwing a fit.

"As for you, come with me," Kash ordered, grabbing my arm again and dragging me inside.

I caught a glimpse of my children sitting happily with the two witches. Amy was in Zoe’s lap, hugging her.

"Why are my children sitting with your family?" I yelled, pointing at them.

"We need to talk," Kash stated, still pulling me along.

When we reached our old bedroom, I noticed a large lock on the door and wondered why. Had he and Lara never taken it over?

The moment he opened the door, he pushed me inside. As I turned back toward the hallway, I saw Lara approaching.

"Later, Lara," Kash told her before slamming the door shut.

He turned to face me, and it felt like the confrontation could no longer be avoided.
