"I had a suspicion about my family, so I asked Walkin to investigate. To be honest, it came from the fact that you told him the same thing you told me. We are still looking into other matters, but it was easy for me to access the text messages. The data has been stored in the werewolf community with the alpha for a long time," Kash uttered while my children enjoyed their breakfast.

"I saw the messages between my mother and sister speaking badly about you. It was mostly gossip. But it showed me that when they said they loved you, it was a lie. They would turn around and speak nonsense about you. Then I decided to check your messages because you claimed I had sent you texts." Kash leaned over his phone and pulled up the screenshots Walkin had sent him.

He tapped one of the messages that was supposedly sent the day I ran away. Seeing it again and reading it again was difficult for me.

I shifted in my seat, uncomfortable, and he noticed.

"I did not send it," he stated firmly, looking me straight in the eye, refusing to look away because he knew he was not lying.

"But–," I paused when I saw him clench his fist.

"That day I was at the dinner table with Lara’s father," he continued. "We were about to strike a deal." he paused.

"She came home to check if I had truly kicked you out of the house, out of my life, out of my bedroom," he added. "Once she was certain, she told her father, which is why we were having dinner."

He rubbed his face with both hands and fell silent for a moment.

"I left for the bathroom briefly," he went on. "When I returned, I found her holding my phone."

"I remember this vividly now," he muttered. "I just did not know she was playing such a nasty game. After all that, I realized I was doing the right thing," he said quietly. "But playing her was not the only thing I wanted to do."

"Then?" I asked.

"I wanted to punish her for her crimes," he declared. "Lara deserves punishment, not a crown."

Kash spoke those words in heavy breaths, and it almost left me breathless. I watched his face in silence, trying to understand what was happening.

"Her crimes? She has committed a crime? I do not understand," I asked in confusion, watching him shake his head angrily.

"So what are her crimes?" I pressed, growing agitated.

"You and everyone will find out. Do not worry," he replied. "Right now, just make sure that while playing this game with her, you remember she can be very deadly."

Kash warned me after he realized I was not going to back down from the plan.

"Okay, now I want you to start coming to the office with me," Kash began. "I am enrolling our children in school so that when they are there, you can come in and focus on work again."

He spoke as if reminding us that we had a successful brand whose opening had gone well. We had not done anything further with it.

"Oh yeah, I really want to work on it," I replied to Kash.

"I was also thinking about doing something for the fallen packs," I added.

I remember there was a time Kash was willing to give a pack to Luca. I was not asking him to give him a pack.

I was just wondering why there was a pack ready to be handed over. Why was it not assigned an alpha?

"That is a good sentiment. Yeah, we can do that too," Kash responded, giving me a proud smile.

"Anyway, let’s have the breakfast we prepared. We are not going to spoil our moods for anyone else ever again."

Kash muttered, gently petting the back of my hand.

I nodded, but there was one thing that deeply disturbed me. Lara was pregnant with his child.

It made me uneasy to think about because she would try to crawl back into his life once the child was born. No father would be able to turn away from the love for his child.

We enjoyed our meal, and once Kash finished, he decided to leave. I was not going to leave the mansion and my children alone, not even with Lady Vivian. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶

Even with Zoe, I felt she truly loved and cared for my children. But with two evil people around, she might get carried away.

She would trust her mother and leave the children with her, and her mother would harm them. Many scenarios played in my mind.

So until my children started school, I would not return to the office.

Once I returned to the mansion, my children ran straight to their room to play with their toys. I stepped into the kitchen to check the lunch menu and found Lady Vivian there.

She did not look crazy enthusiastic until she noticed me. Her shoulders straightened.

"I want everything made perfectly for dinner," she instructed the maid, keeping one eye on me. "And remember, it is going to be special." She paused to let the smirk settle in.

"You know your luna queen is pregnant with your alpha, right?" she asked the maid, a shine of evilness visible in her eyes.

"Luna Iris is pregnant?" the maid asked, turning to look at me with a smile.

Lady Vivian’s expression turned bitter.

"Did I say Luna Iris? Do you not remember there is another Luna?" she snapped.

The woman drew her shoulders in and focused on her work.

"These low class, low life idiots," Lady Vivian muttered, shaking her head in disbelief.

The maid kept her head down and left the kitchen to gather the others to discuss what would be prepared for dinner.

"You should speak respectfully to the helpers," I said, refusing to let it pass.

"Are you telling me how to speak to my maids?" Lady Vivian demanded, pointing at her chest in disbelief that I had raised my voice against her behavior.

"What is so hard for you to swallow?" I asked, folding my arms across my chest.

Her jaw dropped, and she did not try to hide it.
