Alpha's Lost Luna Returns With His Twins

Ever since I returned to my room, I had not been able to do anything.

I sat there for a few minutes, then decided to go be with my children. The problem was that they needed my attention.

They constantly talked and wanted me to react to everything they said. I tried my best.

I did everything I could to respond and be present, but there were moments when I blankly stared at nothing.

Thankfully, Luca arrived. I had only stepped away to my room while the kids were napping when he started bombarding me with questions.

I wanted to tell him what had happened the night before, but I was afraid someone might hear us.

So I decided I would tell him when we went out for dinner, since he had planned it.

Still, I felt guilty and anxious about how he would react. He might think we had dragged him into this mess without his knowledge.

"Mommy, we had an amazing time. Thank you so much," Amy and Colin said as they hugged me.

My mother had requested a nanny for the time being. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶

She made sure to remind me that I was not supposed to stay in my room with my children. I was feeling a lot of pain.

The new nanny was from this pack. She was not someone I thought would cause trouble.

Kash had personally interviewed her and checked her resume. If he said she was fine, I believed she was.

Still, I planned to stay awake and check on my children every hour, or at least every few hours.

I knew Kash was out with Lara. I did not understand what he was doing.

He had already given her everything. How much more time did he need to spend with her to get the water?

I had no idea what his plan was. It felt like he was using it as an excuse to be close to her.

I stayed with my kids while they showered, changed, and went to bed.

After that, I returned to my room, where Luca was already waiting. It looked like he had changed into comfortable clothes for the night.

"Okay, are you going to tell me what happened last night?" he asked again. He had not stopped bringing it up.

"Why do you think something happened last night?" I asked, avoiding his eyes as I opened my bag to grab my nightwear.

"Because I don’t remember any of it, and I woke up feeling strange," he replied in one breath, lying down on his bed. "My pants were open. I’m sure I didn’t do that myself."

Thankfully, Kash had arranged two separate beds, because things were already getting awkward.

"Right. Well, you were really drunk," I began, but he cut me off, clicking his tongue.

"I know that part. I’ve been drunk many times, Iris," he said. "None of those times did I open my pants and lie down like that." He added that his shirt had been unbuttoned too.

I turned toward him and scratched the back of my neck.

"If you touched me, I’m telling you now, I forgive you," he said quickly.

I lifted my head and shook it.

"No. I would never do that," I replied at once.

"Then what is it?" he asked. "Why do you look so anxious, especially when I talk about last night?" He pressed again.

"Something happened last night," I finally confessed, watching him sit up in bed and look at me closely. I was only telling him because it involved him too.

"I already know. Now tell me, what is it?" he said.

I started rubbing my hands together and glanced around the room.

"Hey, what is it? What could be so bad that it’s tying your lips together?" he asked, pressing me again.

I took a deep breath and finally told him what had happened. He listened in silence.

When he shook his head and gestured with his fingers, my anxiety only grew.

"Wait. Are you serious?" he asked.

The long breath he took made my body shudder. I nodded.

"What the fuck?" he muttered as he got off the bed.

I knew he would react like this.

"And you have every reason to," I said quietly. "It’s just that..." My voice faltered. "She forced me."

The moment I said it, my lips began to shake.

"Hey. It’s not your fault," he said, stepping toward me.

But he stopped when he noticed how badly I trembled at his closeness.

"Fucking shit. That’s disgusting," he snapped. "What is she going to do with those videos?"

"I have no idea," I replied. Still, saying it out loud made it feel like the weight was no longer mine alone.

Luca ran a hand through his hair and scratched his scalp, his other hand resting on his waist as he paced.

"I know I should have stayed away from trouble," I started, then stopped.

I had not told him why my mother had punished me in the first place.

"What trouble?" he asked. "You’re doing everything she’s telling you to do. And no matter what, she had no right to do this."

His voice grew louder, and I raised my hand, signaling him to calm down.

I pointed around the room, reminding him that if her warriors were nearby, they could hear and report back to her.

"I’m not scared of those videos getting leaked. I don’t fucking care," he said with a shrug.

My eyes widened, and he noticed.

"No, seriously. I don’t care. If anyone wants to see me naked, that’s their problem," he added, then looked at me awkwardly. "But I can tell it bothers you."

I swallowed and turned my face away. He was right. It bothered me deeply.

"I’m sorry," I murmured. "But why would your mother do that?"

Luca turned out to be easier to talk to than I had expected.

Hearing him say he was fine, that he was not scared for himself, made me feel like maybe I had not ruined his life or his future.

Even though I knew I had not, the guilt still lingered.
