Ever since the dinner ended, I had been pacing around the living room. I wandered outside the mansion, restless. I could not stop thinking about Zoe’s words, and they pushed my anger to its limits.

"What the fuck does she think of herself?" I muttered. "How dare she call Iris the Luna Queen?"

It felt like she was telling everyone that that she only acknowledged Iris as the Lunar Queen. What about me?

I grunted under my breath and continued pacing. It was supposed to be a happy night for me.

After tonight, Kash would be crowned, and then we would go on our honeymoon. Once we returned, he would kick Iris out of the pack. But Zoe had to ruin it for me.

The fact that Zoe and Iris had never liked each other, yet supported each other today, made me realize I needed to do something quickly.

"But why?" my wolf questioned.

"What do you mean, why?" I argued back. "I cannot let them stand together like that. You saw how Zoe spoke just to provoke me."

"Why do you care?" my wolf replied. "Iris will be out of the mansion within a few weeks. She will not matter anymore."

"As for Zoe," my wolf continued, "once Iris is gone, we can remove her easily. With her husband’s secrets in our hands, getting rid of her will not be difficult."

Those words made me slow my pacing and tap my chin.

"You’re not wrong," I admitted quietly. "Why should I waste my time on those two?"

"Once Markus got a job, he would be able to buy a home. After that, he would take Zoe with him. If Zoe claimed she was not ready to live alone, then her mother could move in with them as well. Lady Vivian is not only Kash’s responsibility, Zoe is her daughter, and she should take care of her sometimes too."

I smiled to myself as the plan seemed perfect.

"But there is one more issue," my wolf growled.

"What issue?" I asked, confused.

"For Markus to buy a home, he needs money," my wolf explained. "Even if he finds a job now, it will take a long time before he saves enough. In the end, Zoe will still ask Kash to pay for the house."

That made me clench my fists again. I did not want Zoe using my husband’s money anymore. It was not her money. It belonged to my husband and me.

"Still," my wolf added, "let’s do it. At least she will be far away from us. You and your husband have more than enough money. Even if you buy her countless homes, you will still thrive."

My thoughts and my conversation with my wolf stopped when I saw Markus step out of the mansion.

As soon as he appeared in front of me, he held out his hand, making a gesture as if to tell me it was not his fault.

"I tried," he began almost instantly.

"Then why was there no result?" I demanded.

"She spoke with Iris," he explained, sounding irritated. "Iris told her it was not a good idea to get a new home so soon when I do not even have a job."

He looked annoyed, clearly upset with Iris. I knew he wanted to stay in the mansion. The only reason he was nervous was because I had his secret, and if I used it, he was finished.

"Markus, I do not care," I told him firmly. "You were supposed to make it happen. So tell me, should I go and tell your wife about your little secret?"

His face drained of color. He shook his head and waved his hands quickly, begging me to stop.

"Please," he pleaded. "I did everything. Besides, you told me you had convinced Iris not to intervene."

Instead of apologizing, he pushed back, pointing out that if I could not control Iris, how was he supposed to? How was he supposed to know she was going behind everyone’s back and advising Zoe?

To be honest, even I was shocked. I had thought Iris would be happy that Zoe was leaving.

"Iris is an idiot," I remarked with a grunt. "Zoe must have pressured her."

"I think you are not giving Iris the credit she deserves," he replied.

I raised an eyebrow at him.

"I am just saying she is not as innocent as she appears," he continued. "She is clever. She did it because she realized you did not want us here."

His words carried weight. Was Iris fooling me? She had come to me with gossip, pretending to be honest, only to go behind my back and convince Zoe to stay.

"I do not think Iris is smart enough to play me," I retorted, my pride stinging at the thought that an omega like her could outmaneuver me.

"Anyway," I continued, "I am giving you one last chance."

I paused, swallowing hard.

"I will convince Kash to give you and your wife the money to buy a mansion."

The moment I said it, his eyes widened with hope.

"Now go back inside and slowly convince Zoe that it will be better for your relationship to live alone," I instructed calmly. "While you are at it, make sure you convince her to take her mother with her."

I waved my hand to dismiss him.

He did not leave right away. He lingered, watching my face for a few seconds. When I noticed him, he raised an eyebrow, silently asking me to explain.

"I do not think it is right that my husband and I have to carry the responsibility of Lady Vivian," I explained. "She is Zoe’s mother too. And anyway, she loves Zoe more, so make sure you do that." 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚

"Now go," I told him sharply. "I need to return to my bedroom."

I grunted and stepped away.

This was why I liked keeping other people’s secrets. When you held someone’s secrets, you could force things to happen.

Just like with Markus, he could not even argue with me. I could tell he never wanted to take Lady Vivian with him. She was a nuisance, and everyone knew it.

As I headed toward my room, a sense of agitation crept over me. Earlier, Kash had told me he planned to warn Iris one last time about her habit of running away.

He wanted to speak with her and remind her that if he ever found out she had taken his children and fled again, he would not be lenient.

Now that I was already outside, I felt an urge to listen in.

As I reached their room, I heard an annoying cough behind me.
