Alpha's Lost Luna Returns With His Twins

Kash:

"I have a very bad feeling," Walkin uttered after a whole day of searching for her.

I had returned to the guesthouse after a long day.

Troops were wandering through the streets, warriors were on the lookout, and the news was everywhere.

I had planned large rewards for anyone who would spot her and inform me of her whereabouts, and any useful tips would be rewarded.

I also decided to put the news on air.

News outlets were covering her disappearance, asking anyone who could find her to come forward and asking anyone who had seen her to let us know.

A week-long search for her. I had done that once before.

And now, once again, I was at the same spot where I had been a few years ago, where my mate had run away from me.

But this time, I did not know why it hurt so much.

Probably because she knew that my betrayal had only been a plan.

"I do not think we are going to find anything here. We have turned this place upside down. Kash, and we did not get any news or information other than what we already know," Walkin remarked, stepping behind me.

I have been sleepless. I have not eaten anything in a week. Heck, I was still in my wedding suit.

"Lara and her father have been blowing up my phone, asking about you," Walkin continued.

"She said she understood," I replied softly, staring at the couch where my kids usually sat and where she would be standing behind it, but today she was not there.

"Maybe she changed her mind after she saw you getting married," Walkin tried to explain, but there was not really any explanation left to do.

It did not make any sense.

"No, Walkin. She said she understood. We talked about it. We had a chat," I told him with a heavy heart.

My breathing was becoming erratic.

"We are looking everywhere for her. Every person, every pack member, even children, knows what to look for. If anybody saw her, they would let us know," Walkin explained.

I started to chuckle, almost laughing at myself, as I turned to face him.

"This had happened before. Five years ago, nobody saw her face. Nobody found her, until she decided to come back," I said, feeling my heart beating in my temple louder than ever.

"Then maybe let the warriors do their thing, and you return to your life. She will come back, like she had before."

Walkin tried to reach me, but I raised my palm, stepping backward until I tripped over the couch and sat on it, facing him.

"Do you want me to wait for another few years? No, Walkin, I am not doing that," I stated as I looked him straight in the eye.

"Then what are you planning on doing?" he asked, and I did not break eye contact.

All I said was one sentence.

"I am going to look for her in the East."

The moment I said that, I watched Walkin frown in confusion and tilt his head.

"I mean, nobody really goes to the East. If they do go to the East, there are records, and in the records, her name was not mentioned," he tried to explain.

I clicked my tongue and shook my head.

I gave it one week. I thought maybe she felt bad and left, and I was so hurt that I could not figure it out until now.

That what she said was not a play on words.

Flashback.

I had purposely hit her hand to cut the call. I knew her mother wanted to listen to our conversation, but I had my own questions.

"You are going to tell me the truth," I demanded as I looked Iris in the eye.

She took a deep breath, then turned her face to the side.

"There is no one around here. Come on, Iris, tell me the truth," I hissed, my fists clenching.

She looked back at me and narrowed her eyes.

"Are you just afraid because you think I will run away again?" she spoke up.

Weirdly enough, I did not mention anything. She was the one bringing it up.

"And let’s just say I do run away. Maybe you will come to the East to look for me," she finished, and I frowned again.

"What does the East have to do with it?" I asked in confusion.

"Nobody really goes to the East," I added in a soft tone, my face filled with confusion.

"I know I am just saying it as an example, like when people say, I will cross the river for you," she finished.

I kept watching her face, having no idea what she was hinting at.

"I need the cure. Kash. Because maybe your son is in more trouble because you are not giving me the cure," she continued.

My body started to twitch. I had been picking up on her body language around her mother for a while now.

The problem was that Iris did not understand that it was not only her son who needed a cure. She did too.

End of flashback.

"East? Kash, what are you talking about? We made a treaty with the East that we would not invade their land."

As soon as I stood up and started to step out of the guesthouse, Walkin began to pace after me.

"Kash, you going into the East will make them believe you are up to something. They know you as the alpha king who takes whatever he likes. They will think you are coming over to take their land. Do you really think you want to do that?" Walkin complained behind me.

I entered the main mansion and finally stopped at the front porch, turning to face him.

"So what do you suggest I should do? Just sit and do nothing while I know that Iris is in the East?" I asked.

I watched Walkin look guilty as he lowered his eyes.

"Because if you are suggesting that I stop looking for her, then you are wrong," I hissed, realizing that if nobody wanted to help me, I would leave everyone behind.

I was not letting go of Iris this time.

She had left before, and I had been fooled by her mother into thinking she had an affair with Luca.

But this time, I knew it was all a lie. Her mother took her.

She took the cure, and she took her away from me.

"And what about me?" Lara’s voice came from behind me.

I turned to see her standing next to her father, her arms folded over her chest.

I had not seen her after the marriage, not after that night.

I had been out and about, so seeing her again, I knew arguments were going to happen.
