From Beast Abilities to Sect Grand Master

Lin Fan quickly took out a Heavenly Rejuvenate Pill and helped Zhao Qing Ying swallow it.

Zhao Qing Ying's fractured ribcage, with a depression in the form of Xuan Ming Elder's foot, healed.

He coughed out a mouthful of blood and stood up.

"Lin Fan, get your master and Ho Ming to find an opportunity to run." Zhao Qing Ying said and wiped the blood off the side of his mouth.

He knew that the Xuan Ming Elder was too powerful, even for him and Zhang Yi Nian.

The best he could think of was to let Zhang Yi Nian, Lin Fan and Ho Ming get away.

"Go!" He shouted and sent out a slicing wave at the Dark Lord, Iron Heart Nun and Long Yong when the firewall subsided.

The slicing wave was blocked by the metallic form of the Iron Heart Nun, and the dark arhat of the Dark Lord and Long Yong.

Xuan Ming joined in the fray again and his punch hit Zhao Qing Ying, sending him flying across the open area and hitting the stone coffin.

The stone coffin crumbled and the figure lying in it was revealed.

The figure was a woman in white burial robes with her hands crossed in front of her chest.

"This must be Su Qi Nian's cultivation partner," Lin Fan thought silently to himself.

But there was no time for him to marvel and figure out how she looked pristine and alive after so many years.

He had to try and get Ho Ming and Zhang Yi Nian to safety.

"Su Qi Nian! What have you done to me!" A woman's voice shrieked and stopped his thoughts.

It came from Su Qi Nian's cultivation partner.

The figure lying in the stone coffin sat up and looked around at her surroundings.

Lin Fan startled for a moment when he saw how she looked.

Her face was in patches of white, purple and blue.

Mushroom mycelium was all over her body.

She was now a form of a half-human, half-mushroom.

"Huh. Another one to be hurt by a man. Come join me and kill all the men in the world," the Iron Heart Nun smirked and said, reaching out her hand as a gesture for the mushroom woman to join her.

"Silence!" The mushroom woman shouted at the Iron Heart Nun, and she flung something at her.

The Iron Heart Nun used her fist and punched at the thing coming at her.

Puff.

The thing exploded and the air was immediately filled with purple spores.

The Iron Heart Nun tried to cover her nose, but it was already too late.

Immediately, the Iron Heart Nun's skin turned purple, and she started to be in a daze, turning at Long Yong.

"Heartless man, die now!" She lunged at Long Yong and punched at his head.

The Dark Lord quickly tried to stop the Iron Heart Nun by grabbing onto her arms from behind but couldn't.

She was too powerful for him.

"Su Qi Nian, the name rings a bell." Xuan Ming Elder thought for a moment, and his eyes opened wide when he figured out the name.

He pointed at the mushroom woman and said, "You must be his cultivation partner, the Bei Dou Sword disciple, Zhan Ling Xi. Look what you've become now."

Zhan Ling Xi looked down at her body and she got distraught again.

There were spores, mushrooms and scaly skin growing on her.

"Su Qi Nian shall pay for it later... After I'm done with all of you!" She shouted and held up her hands.

Vines grew from the stone coffin and crawled up her hands.

Slowly, the vines turned into a form of a sword.

Just as Lin Fan wasn't sure if she was on their side, she turned and gave Zhao Qing Ying a kick.

Thud.

Zhao Qing Ying blocked with his arms, and he slid across the ground for a few meters.

"Senior martial uncle!" Lin Fan shouted and turned into a mist.

Zhan Ling Xi saw the mist but ignored it, as she turned her focus onto Xuan Ming Elder.

Boom!

She lunged at Xuan Ming Elder with her sword.

Clank.

Xuan Ming Elder used his chains to parry the sword away.

With the sword swaying to the side, Zhan Ling Xi took a deep breath and boom, purple spores emitted from her body and into the air.

Xuan Ming Elder took a whiff of the spores, and he shook his head vigorously.

He started to see Zhan Ling Xi as the Qing Feng Sect ancestor.

"You should be dead! Your heart is still with me!" Xuan Ming Elder shouted to keep his sanity.

Zhan Ling Xi took the opportunity and plunged her sword into the Xuan Ming Elder's abdomen.

"Argh!" The pain brought back some consciousness to the Xuan Ming Elder.

He held his hands onto the sword of Zhan Ling Xi and wanted to pull it out of his abdomen.

But Zhan Ling Xi pushed with all her might.

Mushroom mycelium formed on the ground where they stood and purple mushrooms with tentacles started to appear.

Demonic mushrooms and armored mushrooms began to appear in hordes.

Boom.

The demonic mushrooms began to fire their air cannons at Xuan Ming Elder.

More purple spores were hurled into the air.

Luckily, Lin Fan and the others had taken the Glorious Poison Recovery pill and were immune to the effects of the purple spores.

Lin Fan was now with Zhao Qing Ying, Zhang Yi Nian and Ho Ming.

He took the opportunity to search for the Nine Heaven Cauldron.

Rummaging through the area of the stone coffin he couldn't find anything.

So, he turned his attention to where Zhan Ling Xi was lying.

It was a flat stone slab with nothing but some mushrooms growing on it.

Lin Fan thought for a moment and knocked on the stone slab.

Knock.

His hunch was right, the echo that came from the stone slab was hollow.

The Nine Heaven Cauldron must have been hidden underneath.

Lin Fan pulled back his fist and then punched at the stone slab.
