From Beast Abilities to Sect Grand Master

Lin Fan didn't elaborate much on what they'd euntered at Han Family.

He preferred to let Han Dang disclose it himself.

Maybe Han Dang didn't want his family feud to be known to other disciples of Qing Feng Sect.

And he was right.

"Yes, tomorrow. We better rest early. There might be hostile forces that will be obstructing."

Han Dang said.

"Hostile forces?" Ho Ming asked and glanced over at Lin Fan.

Lin Fan shrugged and glanced over at Han Dang instead.

"We had some skirmish with the locals. Nothing to be worried about." Han Dang downplayed the situation and quickly lay on his bed, closing his eyes, pretending to sleep.

Ho Ming glanced over at Hun Yen Kun, trying to see if he had any clues whether Han Dang was always like this.

"Relax. With Lin Fan around, we can handle anything thatmes our way." Hun Yen Kun smiled and pointed his fan at Lin Fan.

"What? Me?" Lin Fan pointed his finger at his nose and said.

He proceeded to pat Ho Ming's back, "I did all the work today. It's your turn tomorrow."

"You know I will always do my best." Ho Ming sighed and replied.

Even though Lin Fan was teasing him, he knew he had to quickly level up in his cultivation.

He was getting too far behind Lin Fan.

Lin Fan, with his Level 8 physique, was an exponential increase in his strength and abilitiesmpared to Level 7.

After everyone got onto their beds and slept, Lin Fan kept alert and listened for any assassins.

Han Xin was bound to seek revenge, and he had to be prepared.

Han Family Mansion.

Han Xin was pouring tea for his guests who were two old men dressed in cultivation robes.

One of them sported a bald head with crooked teeth.

The other had gray hair and a long gray beard that went all the way to his waist.

"Please try our tea, Northern Star Elders. It's grown in the Artifact Mountains, helps in your Qi circulation." Han Xin, with his right hand bandaged, poured the tea with much difficulty.

The old man with the bald head, Min Lao, took the teapot from Han Xin.

"Let me. Your hand is injured, howuld I trouble you." He said and grinned at Han Xin, showing him his crooked teeth.

Han Xin looked away and glanced at the other old man.

The other old man, Hong Lao, nodded at Han Xin, stretched out his hand and said, "Enough of the formalities. Time is money. Give us our money and we shall bring you their heads."

"Eh, Hong Lao, that's not nice. Please pardon my partner here, Master Han." Min Lao held up his teacup and proposed a toast to Han Xin.

"Don't worry. I've got the money prepared." Han Xin snapped his fingers and servants came scurrying in with a cart.

He cursed at them silently to himself.

If they weren't the most deadly assassins around Quan Dynasty, he wouldn't have to go through such humiliation.

And all of it was thanks to his brother Han Dang and his son.

When the North Star elders brought back their heads, he would boil them in hot oil and feed them to the dogs.

That's the only way to quell his anger.

Inside the cart, there were gold ingots that made the room immediately have a golden glow.

Min Lao put down the teacup, stood up and walked over to the cart.

He had to half close his eyes due to the bright glare from the gold ingots.

Reaching out with his hands, he wanted to have a feel of all that gold.

But Han Xin stopped him and held onto his wrist.

"Do remember, I shall be going with you. There's an item I want from my nephew." Han Xin said.

"Let go." Min Lao turned and stared at Han Xin.

No longer was he the one that was more polite.

Sweat rolled down Han Xin's forehead and all the hair on his body stood up.

Danger.

He felt heuld be killed in an instant by Min Lao.

"I'm sorry about that, Elder Min." He quickly let go of Min Lao's wrist and apologized.

"Hmph. Fine, follow us and we will get it done. Our North Star Assassin Techniques have never failed."

Min Lao picked up a gold ingot, inspected it closely and said.

"Master, they are moving out of the inn now."

A house guard came running into the room shouting.

"Great, lead the way and let's get going." Min Lao and Hong Lao said.

The house guard bowed and turned back.

Han Xin quickly followed them behind.

If he was able to kill off Han Dang and Lin Fan, get the mysterious artifact that Lin Fan had, it would be such a perfect day.

After Lin Fan and the rest left the inn, they started on their journey to Iron and Fire Mountain.

"The Iron and Fire Mountain has a lot of iron ore mines and flames from the ground."

Han Dang explained what they would expect from the Iron and Fire Mountain.

Which sounded like an active volcano to Lin Fan.

"It's a day's worth of travel from here so be on alert for the journey."

When Lin Fan heard this, he chimed in, "There was a man that went running away from the inn after we left. Most likely to inform his master that we'd left."

He had used his Resonant Echo ability to keep track.

"Peak Lord, I think after this, you owe us more than a good meal." He said and glanced at Ho Ming and Hun Yen Kun.

No way for him not to get something out of Han Dang for this.

"Yes. I agree." Ho Ming and Hun Yen Kun took Lin Fan's hint and said.

"You…" Han Dang wasn't so pleased, but he didn't say anything else.

He knew Lin Fan was right.

They didn't have any duty to help him in his family feud.

"If a good meal is not enough…" Han Dang said and stretched out his hand, "then two meals shall be enough!"
