From Beast Abilities to Sect Grand Master

Lin Fan arrived back at the wooden hut, and he got busy.

He prepared the soup, meat, vegetables and other ingredients required.

Ho Jie chuckled as it had been quite some time, they had such an occasion in the wooden hut.

In fact, even Lin Fan had not been in the wooden hut for too long for the past few months.

"Now, we just wait for the others to arrive." Lin Fan said as he got the pot with boiling soup out onto the dining table in the wooden hut.

"I'm thinking of going back to An Xiang Village soon." Lin Fan sat down and poured himself a cup of tea.

"You should, it's been ages since you went back." Ho Jie joined in and sat at the table.

After having a sip of the tea, Lin Fan asked, "Are there manuscripts that are higher level than Mystic Level in the library?"

"The library?" Ho Jie took a sip of the tea and thought for a moment.

He tapped his fingers on the table and after a few moments, he stopped.

"There are manuscripts that are Heavenly Level or higher, which are several levels higher than Mystic Level, but..."

Ho Jie stopped and he gave Lin Fan a frown.

"I need a lot of contribution points or money for it?" Lin Fan asked.

If it was either of them, he felt he should have enough by now.

But Ho Jie shook his head and chuckled.

"If only it was this easy." He sighed and continued, "The chief librarian doesn't grant access to the manuscripts easily, not even the sect master.

"You have to be able to go through a secret realm, get something that has equivalent value in exchange for it."

Lin Fan frowned and took note of it.

He was thinking of getting a Heavenly Level Manuscript for Ho Ming if possible.

Other than cultivation resources, it was the best he could do for Ho Ming.

Getting Ho Ming to be more powerful was beneficial to him as Ho Ming was his most loyal buddy.

Just when he was in deep thoughts, Ho Ming arrived with Lee Xiao and Tai Lan.

"Lin Fan, long time no see. Glad that you remembered us." Lee Xiao with two bottles of wine greeted Lin Fan.

"Don't just stand there, help out in the food preparation." Lee Xiao nudged Tai Lan who was looking at the hotpot.

What they had earlier was a simplified version and finally they were able to have the real deal.

"Relax. There's no preparation to be done. Just take a seat and wait for the others to arrive." Lin Fan said as he took over the two bottles of wine from Lee Xiao.

"Ho Ming, I'm planning to go back to An Xiang Village, you want to join me?" Lin Fan remembered his plan and he asked Ho Ming.

"Sure... Haven't seen my father for quite some time." Ho Ming replied.

"And after that, it's time we visited the library." Lin Fan said.

"The library?"

"Yes. I think it's time to upgrade our techniques."

"Great. That's what I was thinking about lately." Ho Ming replied.

He knew he was slipping behind Lin Fan and he had to try and get better.

Getting a higher-level manuscript could certainly help. 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎

"It's been a long time but I'm finally back here again." Sima Liang entered the wooden hut.

He looked tired with dark eye rings all around his eyes.

"How is business?" Lin Fan asked as he poured a cup of wine for Sima Liang.

"Things aren't looking so bright. The young Emperor's ascension to the throne came as a surprise." Sima Liang downed the wine in one mouth and continued, "Even though the Left Prime Minister is trying his best, there's still some turmoil in different corners of the Quan Dynasty."

Lin Fan wasn't too surprised, he nodded to what Sima Liang said as he had expected it.

But it was not much of his concern right now.

His focus was to get to be Sect Master in the future.

Finally, Guo He Ru arrived.

He was dressed in a solemn looking dark colored robe.

Something that the peak lords wore.

"Well, at least you look the part." Lin Fan said after he saw Guo He Ru's new robe.

"What do you mean? I'm the best there is, and no other is more suited to be the Alchemy Peak Lord except me." Guo He Ru said, but he froze when he realized there were so many other guests in the wooden hut.

Lee Xiao's eyes opened wide when he heard Guo He Ru say that he was the new Alchemy Peak Lord.

He knew Lin Fan had connections but didn't expect him to be on such good terms with the Alchemy Peak Lord.

"Did you hear that!" He nudged Tai Lan and exclaimed.

"What? When can we eat?" Tai Lan was focused on all the different demonic beast meat on the table.

Lee Xiao rolled his eyes and said, "Just wait and don't make me lose face."

"We can start now, there's no other guest." Lin Fan shook his head at Tai Lan.

He smiled and started the dinner.

Dipping the meat into the hot soup of the hotpot let out the aroma of cooked meat.

Tai Lan swallowed hard as he waited impatiently for the meat to be cooked.

"Hmmm....This is heaven." The tenderness of the meat was just right, it melted immediately when the meat got into his mouth.

Flavors from the soup then exploded inside his mouth.

Lin Fan didn't lie to him, it was indeed ten times better than what they had out in the field.

Everyone also joined in the feast.

It ended when all the food had been consumed.

Most of them were high from the wine and the night concluded with everyone being happy to have met Lin Fan.

For most of them, it was a life changing event.

Ho Ming might have just been an average disciple if not for Lin Fan.

Sima Liang might still be a disciple in the Artifact Peak.

As for Lee Xiao and Tai Lan, their lives were different now with them having more cultivation resources.

Sometimes the sect master would even guide them in their sword cultivation.

Guo He Ru wouldn't be able to make it to be the Alchemy Peak Lord if not for Lin Fan.

However, Lin Fan knew this was just the beginning and more had to be done.
