From Beast Abilities to Sect Grand Master

Guo He Ru stole a glance at Lin Fan.

Lin Fan gave him a nod and a thumbs up, giving him confidence.

"Who do you think I am? I'm the youngest elder and most talented alchemy cultivator the Quan Dynasty has ever seen!" Guo He Ru stood up straight and thumped his chest.

Fan Tian and the elders who were used to his antics rolled their eyes.

"What are we waiting for, let's get the pills to Ming Ye," Zhang Yi Nian said.

Fan Tian gave him a nod and he turned to Guo He Ru, "Come, time is of the essence."

Even though he wanted to buy some time to check if the pills that Guo He Ru conjured would have any chance of healing Zhao Ming Ye, he couldn't go against a peak lord openly.

That might attract unwarranted attention.

After what he had done, he needed to keep a low profile and hope that the assassins sent to finish them off didn't leave any clues leading back to him.

And from Zhang Yi Nian, Lin Fan and Ho Ming's demeanor when they saw him, he should be safe for now.

"Yes, time is of the essence," Lin Fan said and they got to the room where Zhao Ming Ye was resting.

The formation array was still doing its work, sustaining Zhao Ming Ye's lifeforce.

Guo He Ru went up to Zhao Ming Ye's bed and helped to open Zhao Ming Ye's mouth.

Fan Tian, Elder Hu and Elder Chi glanced at each other.

They gave out a silent sigh and hoped that Guo He Ru's pill wouldn't work.

"I heard the pills are ready?" Qing Yang Zi's voice echoed at the entrance of the room.

Fan Tian and the elders' hearts sank further when they saw Qing Yang Zi, Zhao Qing Ying and Hun Yen Kun entered the room.

"Sect master. Senior martial uncle." Everyone in the room bowed and greeted Qing Yang Zi and Zhao Qing Ying.

Zhang Yi Nian walked over to Qing Yang Zi and said, "Yes, sect master. The pill is ready."

He raised an eyebrow, trying to signal to Qing Yang Zi that something was up.

But Qing Yang Zi didn't know what he meant.

Zhang Yi Nian sighed and glanced over to Lin Fan.

When Qing Yang Zi saw that it involved Lin Fan, he frowned and nodded.

He didn't know what was going to happen, but he could be sure that it was going to be something cunning.

"Continue what you were about to do," Qing Yang Zi said as he stroked his long beard.

Guo He Ru nodded, and he took out one of the pills.

The room immediately filled with the aroma of herbs from the pill.

Fan Tian, Elder Hu and Elder Chi took a whiff of the aroma and they tried to decipher what were the ingredients in it.

But before they had a chance to take another, the aroma in the room was gone.

Guo He Ru had put the pill into Zhao Ming Ye's mouth and closed it.

Everyone held their breath as they watched.

The sound of the Qi circulating in the room from the formation array was all that could be heard.

After a moment, when nothing happened, Qing Yang Zi and Zhao Qing Ying's eyebrows locked as they wished for the best.

Fan Tian, Elder Hu and Elder Chi's faces brightened up when they saw no reaction from Zhao Ming Ye.

They had to try very hard to suppress their lips from curling up a few moments later when they saw Zhao Ming Ye lay on the bed as he was.

The wound was still the same and the skin around the wound didn't get any better.

"It can't be! There must be something missing that I didn't think of," Guo He Ru stood up and he held his hands up covering his head.

"What do you need? Let us know and we will get it for you," Lin Fan said as he patted Guo He Ru on his back.

"The thousand-year ice venom... the guardian beast poison.... one counters each other... there's something missing..."

Guo He Ru paced around the room mumbling to himself.

Fan Tian smirked and glanced over at the sect master.

"Do excuse him, sect master. Although he is young and behaves oddly, I assure you he is talented in alchemy cultivation," Fan Tian said, trying to appear to be a caring elder.

"I understand. He is after all, trying his best to save Ming Ye's life," Qing Yang Zi said.

Fan Tian then turned back and looked at Guo He Ru. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚

"I knew it!" Guo He Ru stopped, and he punched a fist into the air.

"You knew what? Tell us, we don't have much time," Lin Fan said.

"They counter each other but we need something to stabilize them together! How could I have forgotten about it!" Guo He Ru walked over to Lin Fan and put his hands on his shoulders.

"Trust me one more time. I need you to go to the North Realm again. The lightning horn Ox there with its lightning horn can be the binder to the thousand-year ice venom and the guardian beast poison!"

Guo He Ru said, and Lin Fan shrugged his shoulders.

"The lightning horn Ox? I could try," Lin Fan said and he glanced over at Zhang Yi Nian.

"Master, can you help me with it again?" he asked.

Zhang Yi Nian frowned and said, "Xi er is out on a mission and hasn't returned yet. I need to go and find her. You might have to do it alone."

Lin Fan nodded and said, "I understand. Don't worry, I'm confident of getting the lightning horn back successfully."

"Then it's best to get going soon," Qing Yang Zi sighed and gave his approval.

"Sect master, we have a batch of pills to attend to, please excuse us," Fan Tian said and the other two elders nodded.

"Do what you must," Qing Yang Zi waved his hands and Fan Tian got out of the room with the other two elders.

When they were gone, Guo He Ru couldn't hold it any longer and he started snickering.

Then he burst out in laughter.

Lin Fan smacked him on his back and said, "Shhh. Give the actual pills to the Formation Peak Lord now."
