"I'm just browsing around," Lin Fan said and he glanced at the items that were placed in front of Zhang Xi.

There weren't many but pills and some artifacts.

Nothing extraordinary or anything that seemed interesting.

"You might find something that could help over there." Zhang Xi pointed to a corner of the black market.

An old man behind a deer's mask was seated with many artifacts laid in front of him.

From the old man's figure, hair and beard, Lin Fan had a hunch who it was.

"Thanks. I guess, I would have to check him out," Lin Fan thanked Zhang Xi and walked over to the chief librarian.

"I don't know you, young man. But I'm guessing this soul searing stone might be helpful for you." The chief librarian picked up a stone that was pure white and showed it to Lin Fan.

Lin Fan didn't want to blow the chief librarian's cover, so he just asked, "How much for it?

And why do you think it's useful for me?"

"Here you go." Lin Fan placed ten gold ingots on the display shelf of the chief librarian.

He had to take in the Qi with soul searing attribute and slowly alter the rest of his Qi to be able to behave in the same manner using what was written in the manuscript.

This went on for a few hours and it was lunch time soon.

Time passed by much faster when you are focused on cultivation.

Lin Fan had a quick lunch and got back to his Qi altering process.

This went on for another few hours before someone entered the wooden hut.

"How's my junior martial brother doing?" Zhang Xi came in with Sun Hai.

Lin Fan stopped what he was doing and got down from his bed.

"Senior martial sister and brother, have a seat. What brings you here?" He poured them a cup of tea and sat down at the dinner table.

Zhang Xi sat down and smirked.

She took a sip from the teacup and said, "Do you want to get out of the sect?"

"Get out? How?" Lin Fan asked with intrigue.

Zhang Xi sat up straight with her head up and said, "I've convinced father, no, the peak lord, to let me go recruit new disciples for the peak.

"But he had a condition that you went with us.

He always knew that he needed to build up the Physique Peak before having a chance at becoming sect master.
