From Beast Abilities to Sect Grand Master

When the men saw Lin Fan and the rest approaching, they shouted and stopped them.

The men held up their arms at Lin Fan and the rest, wary of what they would do next.

A middle-aged man with a mole on his chin came forward and squinted his eyes at Lin Fan.

"Put down your axes and knives." The middle-aged man quickly pushed down the arms of the men pointing their weapons at Lin Fan, Zhang Xi and Sun Hai.

He quickly bowed, smiled at Lin Fan and said, "I'm so sorry.

"I'm He Song, village head of Hei Feng village.

"They didn't realize you are cultivators from Qing Feng Sect.

"I sincerely hope you can forgive their ignorance.

He Song said and the mole on his chin twitched.

"What has happened here?" Lin Fan asked, pointing at the weapons in the villagers' hands.

"Kidnapped your kids? That's outrageous." Sun Hai slammed her hand on the table.

Zhang Xi nodded in unison at her outrage.

Lin Fan just picked up his teacup and took a sip of the tea.

Then he gave a glance at Zhang Xi.

Reminding her that things might not be as they seem.

The villagers followed suit and got onto their knees.

When the villagers heard what Lin Fan said, they paused for a moment, glanced at each other.

The other villagers then joined in with He Song.

They wailed and cried at the top of their lungs.

Lin Fan shook his head and said, "Just call me Lin Fan and let's get started. Where is Ho Folk village?"

He Song stopped and stood up.

The villagers held up the weapons in their hands and shouted as they followed He Song.

Ho Folk village wasn't too far, and they arrived after half an hour.

The village looked to be as poor and destitute as Hei Feng village.

Villagers of Ho Folk village were also fully armed and both sides formed a line, staring at each other intensely.

"Where are our kids!" Villagers from Hei Feng village pointed their weapons at the other side and shouted.

"Your kids are fine, return us our fields and you shall have your kids back!"

Villagers of Ho Folk village shouted back.

"Return their fields? What do they mean by that? Weren't they the ones who took your fields?" Lin Fan turned and asked He Song.

He Song quickly bowed and said, "Don't listen to them, that's how despicable these people are."

He Song then stepped forward with his head held high and said, "We have cultivators from Qing Feng Sect to help us get our kids back and protect our fields.

"You had better do so peacefully before any bloodshed."

Ho Folk village's village head also stepped forward.

"He Song, you despicable piece of shit!"

"Lee Tean, stop the insults and deal with the matter like a grown man."

The village head for Ho Folk village, Lee Tean, was surprisingly a young man in his twenties.

Lin Fan stepped in between them and said, "For the fields there should be an official registry for it. Why don't you find the official registrar to settle the argument?"

Lee Tean pointed at He Song and shouted, "He bribed the registrar and destroyed the official registry during the chaos."

He Song shook his head and refuted, "Do you have any proof of that?"

"You..." Lee Tean couldn't say anything to that as he didn't have the evidence.

By now Sun Hai and Zhang Xi were beginning to doubt the statements from both sides.

Lin Fan shrugged his shoulders at them, turned back to He Song and Lee Tean and said, "Lee Tean, where are the kids? Bring all the kids out, including kids from your village, now."

"I will get them out now." Lee Tean said and the villagers from Ho Folk village brought the kids over.
