From Beast Abilities to Sect Grand Master

Lin Fan thought for a moment and pondered.

There should be an artifact that could help Ho Ming like what he had with the soul-searing stone.

Since he was going to visit Master Su Qi Nian, he figured Master Su Qi Nian should have some idea on this.

He patted Ho Ming's shoulder and said, "Don't worry. I'm going to the Artifact Mountains with my master tomorrow. Master Su Qi Nian should have something useful."

Ho Ming gave a sigh of relief and gave Lin Fan a huge smile.

He had wanted to get stronger and be able to help Lin Fan but wasn't able to do so.

It had made him feel increasingly frustrated with himself before Lin Fan came to the rescue.

Although he felt bad about it, requiring Lin Fan's help again, he knew by now that Lin Fan wasn't someone to be bothered if you had worked hard.

The same generosity wouldn't be offered if you were lazy and waited for help.

"Thanks, I was stuck with this for such a long time. Do you need me to go with you?" Ho Ming asked.

"Sure, if you want to." Lin Fan hadn't been with Ho Ming on a mission for a while, and he was more than happy if Ho Ming wanted to tag along.

"Great, let me ask about it with senior martial brother Hun Yen Kun." Ho Ming said and proceeded to leave and find Hun Yen Kun.

Lin Fan went back to the wooden hut as he felt that things were coming together nicely so far.

His influence in the different peaks was increasing, and the new disciples were becoming stronger.

The only thing that was unexpected was the reappearance of the Dark Lord and the mysterious Xuan Ming Elder.

Once he and the Qing Feng Sect could get rid of them, it should be smooth sailing for him to become the sect master as time passed by.

With thoughts of how things went, Lin Fan arrived back at the wooden hut by dinner time.

As he entered the wooden hut, a familiar scene appeared in front of his eyes.

"Ah, you're back. Just in time for dinner."

Ho Jie was busy placing dishes on the table as usual, and he greeted Lin Fan with his signature chuckle.

"Thanks. I can't wait to tuck in." Lin Fan replied and sat down, pouring tea for the two of them.

Next day, Lin Fan woke up and checked the items he had packed.

When he was done, he had a quick breakfast of steaming hot buns and left to meet up with the rest.

Zhang Yi Nian, Han Dang and Ho Ming were ready and waiting for him at the central square.

"Since everyone is here, let's get going." Zhang Yi Nian said when he saw Lin Fan approaching them.

He took out a golden leaf from his robe and threw it into the air.

As Qing Yang Zi didn't want to waste time, he had let Zhang Yi Nian use the golden leaf artifact.

The golden leaf floated in the air and became larger and larger, until it was big enough for the four of them.

They stepped onto the golden leaf, and it flew into the air and headed towards the direction of the Artifact Mountains.

It didn't take long for them to reach Master Su Qi Nian's cave. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

Su Qi Nian had a handful of artifacts in his hand ready to deal with the intruders.

He kept the artifacts when he saw familiar faces on the golden leaf.

"Well, if it isn't the Qing Feng Sect. What brings you here again?" Master Su Qi Nian asked.

He still remembered what they had gotten from him the last time they came.

"Come in and talk. I don't have the whole day to stand and wait." Master Su Qi Nian said.

He turned back and walked back into the cave.

Lin Fan and the others followed behind him.

When they got into the cave and sat around a stone table in the guest chamber, Master Su Qi Nian poured them cups of tea with a teapot glowing with a green glow.

All of them held the teacup and hesitated.

"I'm old and the green glow is for me to see better in this cave." Master Su Qi Nian shook his head and grumbled.

Zhang Yi Nian gave an awkward smile and placed his teacup onto the table and said, "We are here to ask about someone called Xuan Ming Elder and the Bei Dou Ice Chain."

Master Su Qi Nian stopped what he was doing with his hands frozen in the air.

After a few moments of silence, he said, "I knew there was nothing good when you came visiting again."

He walked over to a pile of artifacts and items, rummaged through it.

Finally, after much digging, he pulled out a scroll from the pile of artifacts and items.

Master Su Qi Nian walked over to the stone table where Lin Fan and the others were sitting.

He placed the scroll on the tabletop and unrolled it.

Lin Fan and the others leaned forward to have a look at it.

They could see some writings and drawings about a fight.

"This scroll is about the fight between the Xuan Ming Elder and the ancestors of the different sects. Look here," Master Su Qi Nian said and pointed to a figure in the drawing holding a green blade, "The Qing Feng Sect ancestor holding the Qing Feng Sword."

"The Qing Feng Sect ancestor?" Lin Fan and the others exclaimed at the revelation.

Master Su Qi Nian continued and said, "Xuan Ming Elder was a dark cultivator, and he wanted to enslave commoners and use them as sacrifices for his cultivation.

"The ancestors of the sects worked hand in hand and tried to destroy him.

"But they weren't able to do so even after paying a huge price."

He pointed further away at the drawing, where it depicted the Qing Feng Sect ancestor lying in a pool of crimson with the Qing Feng Sword on the ground, not too far away.
