The close guard glanced over at the other two men, one who was a young man with two swords in his hands, also with a robe that was partially soaked with blood.

The other man, who was middle-aged, looked less menacing as there wasn't any blood on his robe.

He quickly pulled the leash of his horse, and the horse turned and galloped in the direction of the middle-aged man.

He thought he had chosen the best option out of the three men.

But how wrong he was.

Zhang Yi Nian also smirked when he saw the close guardming towards him instead.

"Master, don't damage the armor," Lin Fan raised his hand and said to Zhang Yi Nian.

He was worried the armor of the close guard would be destroyed.

It was a crucial part of his plan.

The close guard drew out his curved sword and injected his Qi into it; the sword glowed, and he slashed it upwards.

A slicing wave came at Zhang Yi Nian.

To the surprise of the close guard, he didn't even try to dodge the slicing wave.

The slicing wave hit but it didn't do much to Zhang Yi Nian.

Instead, Zhang Yi Nian drew back his fist and punched at the close guard's head.

The punch broke the air and the next moment, the head of the close guard turned into a red mist.

His body dangled lifelessly, and after a few gallops of the horse, it dropped to the ground.

"Don't worry. Your master knows how tontrol the amount of force required."

Zhang Yi Nian held his head up and said.

After this battle, Lin Fan should have been able to witness how powerful I am, he thought.

"Yes, master, I shouldn't have doubted you," Lin Fan said and got to work.

He turned his look into the close guard's face, and he stripped the armor off the close guard's body.

After putting on the close guard's armor, Lin Fan shrugged and said, "Master, Ho Ming, I'm sorry but you might have to bear with it for a little while."

He first let Ho Ming stow his swords into his storage artifact.

After that, Lin Fan took out a rope from his own storage artifact and tied Zhang Yi Nian and Ho Ming to it.

He then got onto the horse and proceeded towards the Khan'smmand site.

Lin Fan took extra caution so that Ho Ming and Zhang Yi Nianuld follow the pace of the horse.

"Halt! Who's there!" The guards at the campsite stopped Lin Fan when they saw him approaching with two cultivators tied up in a rope behind him.

Archers aimed their arrows at him and watched intently.

He then held up a jade pendant that was carved in the form of a wolf.

He had found it in the close guard's armor and figured it must have been a token that was important.

The guards motioned for him to get off from the horse andme closer.

"You may proceed." The leader of the guard, after inspecting the jade pendant and Lin Fan's look and attire, gave him the go-ahead.

Lin Fan quickly entered the campsite with Ho Ming and Zhang Yi Nian tugging behind.

The guards gave them a stare and grunted when they saw that they were cultivators from Quan Dynasty.

Some spat on the ground and held onto the handles of their swords.

After Lin Fan entered the campsite, he pretended to give an angered look at Ho Ming.

He raised his fist and shouted, "Quiet, you Quanward. You shall beg when you see our mighty lord the Khan! Now, walk faster!"

He pushed Ho Ming and Zhang Yi Nian to his front.

This bought him time as he observed the movements of the troops and the tents.

There was a large tent in the middle of the campsite, most likely to be the Khan's tent.

He then walked in the direction of the large tent.

The guards outside the large tent also stopped him but allowed him to enter after he showed the jade pendant.

When he stepped into the tent, there was a man sitting in a chair on a platform.

And on both sides of the man, burly men sat with wine and food in front of them.

"What news do you have for me? How is the situation in the battlefield now?" Hulu Bei Er asked.

Lin Fan bowed and replied, "My Khan, things are going very well. The Quanwards are retreating, and I've caught these two on my way here; maybe they are part of a last-ditch effort by the Quanwards."

"You! Assassin!" He shouted, and his generals reacted.

Lin Fan cursed at whoever was the owner of the sword and he took out his hammers.

Ho Ming and Zhang Yi Nian broke free from the rope and got ready for action.

The generals on both sides of Hulu Bei Er lunged at Lin Fan with their swords in hand.
