From Beast Abilities to Sect Grand Master

"I understand, I have my fair share of delinquents to deal with in the family." The family head said as he gave out another cough.

The veins in his old, wrinkled hands popped when he clenched them and tried to hold in his anger.

Qing Yang Zi's statement was made to remind him to stick to his own turf.

Making him think twice if he wanted to help Fan Tian.

The family head gave out another cough, picked up his empty teacup and the servant girl beside him scurried to refill his teacup.

Taking a sip, he tasted the bitterness in the tea and then savored the sweetness that came after it.

Some things must wait. The family head thought.

"It must have been you! There was no way that Guo He Ru could get so smart!" Fan Tian pointed at Lin Fan and continued shouting at him.

"Enough! Ming Ye, set up the Memory Recall formation array and let the facts prove themselves." Qing Yang Zi said.

Zhao Ming Ye took a step forward.

Fan Tian panicked as he looked at the family head.

If he was subjected to the Memory Recall formation array, the Fan Family would be implicated too.

He must not let it happen.

"Stop. I will confess to what I've done." Fan Tian knelt down and said.

Zhao Ming Ye stopped and waited.

Qing Yang Zi waved at him and Zhao Ming Ye stood to the side.

He glanced over to the Fan family head next, and said, "I think it's time we get back to the Qing Feng Sect. Sorry for the unannounced visit. I will send a gift to make up for what had happened here."

Qing Yang Zi stood up and they left with Fan Tian being apprehended by Zhang Yi Nian.

"You are welcome to the Fan Family at any time. No need for the gifts, I'm not a person of formalities." The family head replied, and he tried to get up from his seat.

The servant girl quickly held his hand and helped him up.

"It's all right, no need to see us out." Qing Yang Zi bowed and left.

Chills emitted from the family head's body as he stared at them leaving.

The servant girl nearly tripped and fell from the freezing chills.

"Useless fool." The family head turned and scolded the servant girl.

Qing Feng Sect.

Million Sword Hall.

Fan Tian knelt in front of Qing Yang Zi, Lin Fan, Zhao Qing Ying and the other peak lords.

He looked down on the ground, dejected and a shell of his former self.

No longer was he the respected elder of the Alchemy Peak.

"What are you waiting for? Just kill me already. I know the consequences of trying to kill a peak lord."

All of a sudden, Fan Tian lashed out at Qing Yang Zi.

"Kill you now? No, Lin Fan gave me a better suggestion." Qing Yang Zi glanced over at Lin Fan and said.

"You again!" Fan Tian shouted at Lin Fan.

He was bound up by a rope artifact that stopped his Qi, he couldn't lift a finger to hurt Lin Fan if he wanted to.

But Lin Fan just shrugged his shoulders.

Any time spent on Fan Tian was time wasted.

"Let's get on with it." Qing Yang Zi clapped and Guo He Ru entered the Million Sword Hall.

Fan Tian's face turned black when he saw Guo He Ru.

"Sect Master." Guo He Ru didn't bother with Fan Tian, walked up and bowed at Qing Yang Zi.

"In accordance with what I've promised earlier, I hereby appoint you as the next Alchemy Peak Lord." Qing Yang Zi said.

"Thank you, sect master. I shall try my best to lead the Alchemy Peak to heights never achieved before." Guo He Ru knelt and said.

He turned and glanced over at Lin Fan, giving him a huge grin.

Lin Fan nodded and gave him a thumbs up.

"Damn you!" The joyous occasion was the worst thing Fan Tian would want to witness.

Seeing his opponent ascend to the position he had sought after for so long.

Immediately, he felt his heart pounding fast, breathing went shallow and faster.

A rage simmered inside him, but he had no way to get it out.

Fan Tian tried to direct his Qi from his dantian, but it activated the rope artifact.

All the rage with nowhere to go and his Qi disrupted, Fan Tian spat out a mouthful of blood.

He pointed his finger at Guo He Ru, then at Lin Fan.

There were so many curses he wanted to lash out but couldn't.

An intense pain came from his heart and Fan Tian dropped to the ground and twitched for a few moments.

"How is he?" Qing Yang Zi asked.

Guo He Ru went over and checked Fan Tian's pulse.

He felt nothing and Fan Tian's breathing had stopped.

"Sect master, he is dead." Guo He Ru replied.

Qing Yang Zi waved his hand, and menial disciples came in and dragged the body of Fan Tian away.

He glanced at Lin Fan and said, "Didn't think he would be angered to death."

"Sect master, I didn't realize it would work so well. I promise you." Lin Fan shrugged and said.

"Enough, you think I don't know you." Qing Yang Zi said and turned over to Zhang Yi Nian, "Get Lin Fan to focus on his cultivation and handle the matters of the Physiques Peak."

"Yes, sect master." Zhang Yi Nian bowed and said.

It was what Zhang Yi Nian had planned for Lin Fan too.

Lin Fan already expected this, and he had no qualms about it.

"If that's the case, everyone dismissed. It must have been tiring for everyone. Time for us to get Qing Feng Sect in order again." Qing Yang Zi said and everyone bowed and left.

"Come over to the wooden hut. It's time for a celebration." Lin Fan walked beside Guo He Ru and said.

"Celebration?" Guo He Ru asked.

"There's hotpot. It would be an honor for our Alchemy Peak Lord to grace our humble wooden hut." Lin Fan said sarcastically.

"What? You know I'm proud but not in that way. Of course I'll go." Guo He Ru said.

"Deal, I'll wait for you in the wooden hut."
