"Don't, I beg you. Here, take this..." Han Xin took out a jade pendant in the form of a bat.

He held it out to Lin Fan and said, "There are gold bars inside this storage artifact. Just take it and let me go."

"I suppose you've forgotten what you tried to do to me." Lin Fan shrugged as he looked at Han Xin.

There would be no end if he let this Han Xin off.

He would be back with someone to try and assassinate them next time.

Maybe disciples or masters of the two men he just killed.

The body of Han Xin stopped moving, and it fell onto the ground.

Lin Fan walked over and picked up the jade pendant.

He kept it and glanced over at Han Dang.

Han Dang didn't show any emotions on his face.

He looked at the body of his brother like it was any other body he had euntered before.

Finally, he looked up into the sky and gave out a huge sigh.

Ho Ming and Hun Yen Kunuld figure out what was happening with thenversation that went on just now.

So, they chose to keep quiet and waited for Han Dang tompose himself like Lin Fan.

But they felt the ground shake the next moment.

Everyone went into alert mode and scanned around for any enemies.

The shaking stopped, and there was silence.

Lin Fan waited for the system notification, but nothing came.

Whatever caused the ground shaking must have gone away.

"Let's hurry and get to the peak," Lin Fan said.

The others agreed, and theyntinued their journey up onto the peak.

After an hour, they finally arrived at the peak.

The cave was huge, and they stood outside at a distance from it.

There was a stone path laid, leading up into the cave.

Someone had created the stone path.

Most likely by Master Su Qi Nian.

"Let me go first and check," Lin Fan volunteered to go first.

The others nodded.

Ho Ming drew out his swords and prepared for action as he saw Lin Fan walking up to the cave.

It went smoothly.

Nothing unusual had happened.

Lin Fan was at the mouth of the cave, and he turned back.

"Come one by one," he said.

Ho Ming came up the path next.

It was the same, and nothing happened.

Hun Yen Kun and Han Dang subsequently made their way up too.

"What was that about?" Han Dang asked.

The miner had told them that people vanished around the cave.

"Might have been some misinformation spread to keep people away," Lin Fan said.

He was right as he heard an old man's voice erupting from within the cave.

"Get away! I don't want to see any visitors! No amount of begging will let me forge an artifact for you."

"Master Su Qi Nian, I'm here at the introduction of Master Xin from the Sima Family in Hong Feng City."

Lin Fan clasped his hands and bowed.

The cave went silent for a moment before the voice boomed again.

"Xin is now at the Sima Family? He was an acquaintance, and he should've known better!"

Flames came out of the cave rushing out towards Lin Fan and the others.

"Watch out!" Lin Fan shouted, and he turned into mist with his Phantom Step ability.

Ho Ming used his turtle shell artifact, and an illuminated turtle shell engulfed him, Hun Yen Kun, and Han Dang.

The flames died down, and Lin Fan appeared again.

"You sure are pesky little flies!" Su Qi Nian shouted again.

Before he unleashed the next attack, Lin Fan shouted, "I have something that might be of interest to you."

He took out the imperial seal and held it up in his hand.

Ho Ming, Hun Yen Kun, and Han Dang immediately dropped onto their knees.

"Get it away," Su Qi Nian shouted again.

Lin Fan kept the imperial seal back.

He heard footstepsming out of the cave, and he waited.

An old man emerged from the cave.

He was stout and short, about half the height of Lin Fan.

He had huge bulky arms, necessary for forging the artifacts with a hammer.

"Where did you get the imperial seal? It should have been gone," Su Qi Nian shook his head and rubbed his temple.

It seems like he knew what it was, Lin Fan thought.

He quickly told Su Qi Nian his purpose for his visit.

"Is there any way to break it up and forge it into other artifacts?" Lin Fan said.

Su Qi Nian frowned at Lin Fan and shook his head vigorously.

"It can't be done?" Lin Fan asked disappointedly.

"I think you don't realize what it would mean for me to break it up.

"The imperial seal gets its powers from the fortunes of theuntry.

"To break it up means having to break the good fortunes of theuntry.

"Is that what you want?"

He wanted power from the imperial seal but not by causing untold suffering onmmoners like Uncle Liu and Ho Fu.

"Are there no other ways?" Lin Fan tried to ask.

Su Qi Nian thought for a moment, and he snapped his fingers.

He looked up at Lin Fan with his eyes wide open.

Ho Ming, Hun Yen Kun, and Han Dang also got excited.

They leaned forward and waited for the answer.

But Su Qi Nian shook his finger and put it back down.

Lin Fanuldn't make out what it meant, and he asked, "So..."

"No... you are supposed to be anxious and not be so calm," Su Qi Nian was disappointed heuldn't prank them successfully.

"Come on in and we shall talk." He turned around and waved them into his cave.
