"President Yu, if I’m asking our Contractor to come, it’s because I can guarantee her safety." The moment Ying Yaoshi saw Yu Mingche, his eyes turned dangerous.

’Yu Mingche is already by her side? And from the looks of it, she doesn’t seem to mind him.’ The realization made Ying Yaoshi instantly tense up.

Yu Mingche had chosen this moment to come to Ning Xuan’s side, secretly pulling some strings to have Lan Xin, Yun Han, and Lin Mo all transferred away. It was all to create an opportunity to be alone with her.

Yu Mingche turned to Ning Xuan, seeking confirmation. She gave him an innocent nod, and his eyes immediately filled with a wounded look as he stared at her stubbornly.

Looking at his expression, Ning Xuan surprisingly understood what he meant. "When I get back from the Star Domain Battlefield, I’ll spend some proper time with you," she promised.

"Then I’ll go with you to the Star Domain Battlefield. I’ll protect you," Yu Mingche offered.

Before Ning Xuan could even speak, Ying Yaoshi nearly exploded with rage. "With your Combat Power, you dare say you’ll protect someone? Don’t embarrass yourself."

Yu Mingche’s Comprehensive Combat Power wasn’t bad, but that depended on who you compared him to. His specialty was spiritual power, so naturally, Ying Yaoshi looked down on his fighting ability.

"At least I’m not on active duty; I’m free. What about you? If you take Ning Xuan over there, will you have time to spend with her? Are you just going to ignore your official responsibilities?" Yu Mingche shot back.

Ying Yaoshi couldn’t refute that and could only glare furiously at Yu Mingche.

"Alright, stop fighting," Ning Xuan said, placating Yu Mingche. "When I get back from the Star Domain Battlefield, we can go wherever you want. I’ll go with you, okay?"

’These two can start a fight without even being in the same room. If they actually met, they’d probably end up in a brawl.’

Ning Xuan did not want to deal with that kind of trouble.

After the argument, the three of them reached a temporary consensus. When Ning Xuan arrived at Star A739, she found the team sent to pick her up at the station.

The one who came to pick her up was an old acquaintance from the Lingxiao Secret Realm, Leng Yue. He hadn’t come alone this time. Behind him stood a team of nearly one hundred people, most of them fully armed and exuding a grim, blood-soaked aura.

A739 Planet was a populous and prosperous A-level planet. Its starship station was also built to be incredibly spacious; the main hall alone could accommodate tens of thousands of people coming and going at once.

See how they’re doing now," Ning Xuan said, having noticed Chen Nan looking dispirited in the crowd. She called him over to give him a few things to do.

After hearing the tasks Ning Xuan assigned him, Chen Nan’s eyes immediately brightened, as if he suddenly had a purpose.

"Don’t worry, Contractor. I’ll get right on these tasks as soon as I’m back. I’ll keep you updated on my progress." Chen Nan’s mood visibly improved.

"Ming Che, while I’m away, you can stay wherever you like. I’ve given you full access to the villa’s defense systems. Please look after Lan Xin, Lin Mo, Yun Han, and Chen Nan for me," Ning Xuan instructed Yu Mingche.

Yu Mingche looked at Ning Xuan and nodded obediently.

Ning Xuan glanced back at Yan Fuzhen. He wouldn’t be going with her; he was to stay on the Central Star and create the illusion that Ning Xuan was still at the villa. He would help her fend off any visitors who came looking for her and keep an eye on all the different factions.

Ying Yaoshi had sent a team of a hundred men. Just these people alone were enough to fill a starship. For security, they were traveling in their own starship, so Ning Xuan transferred from the large passenger starship to a medium-sized one.

The starship they boarded must have been modified. Despite its modest size, its speed was even greater than that of the large starship. When it was flying at full speed, she couldn’t even clearly see the scenery outside the viewport.
