Interstellar Farming: I Make Potions and Climb to the Top

Chapter 153: Coalescing into Form

Chapter 153

Outside the Cultivation Room, Lin Mo, Chen Nan, Di Youlin, and Yan Fuzhen all stood waiting nervously. If Ning Xuan’s life force hadn’t been so stable and powerful, Yan Fuzhen would have been tempted to charge right in.

The Cultivation Room was bathed in a crimson glow, and a scorching heat radiated out from within. Chen Nan’s Companion Spirit, the Green-eyed Golden Eagle, was forced to manifest against its will. Overwhelmed by the immense pressure, it couldn’t even lift its head as it prostrated itself on the ground, trembling in fear.

Chen Nan, too, couldn’t suppress the dread welling up from the depths of his soul. Beyond his anxiety for Ning Xuan, he felt a primal tremor of terror in the face of such a powerful being.

Although the others’ Companion Spirits didn’t manifest, they could all feel their spirits being suppressed within them.

Inside the Cultivation Room, Ning Xuan was completely wreathed in flames. She gently raised a hand, and the chubby little red bird hopped from her shoulder to her palm. Its eyes were clear and lively as it met her gaze. Its fluffy, soft red feathers were dazzlingly vibrant. Ning Xuan reached out to stroke it. It was small, soft, and warm. This was only the second time she had touched it since her Companion Spirit awakened.

Under her touch, the Little Red Bird let out a comfortable "CHIRP CHIRP CHIRP."

’Even though this isn’t the first time I’ve seen it, it’s still incredible,’ Ning Xuan thought. ’Bloodline Energy can condense into a physical form, and that form is so lively and cute, just like a real creature. And this Little Red Bird even possesses heaven-defying power.’

Ning Xuan and the Little Red Bird shared a mental connection. At her direction, the bird opened its beak and spat a small ball of fire at one of the Cultivation Room’s walls. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞

The flame the Little Red Bird spat out was initially only the size of an egg. It was a deep, reddish-gold color. The flame slowly rotated in midair, seemingly distorting the space around it and emitting a faint humming sound. As it spun, it rapidly expanded, becoming a blazing fireball in the blink of an eye and releasing a suffocating heat.

The instant the flame touched the wall—which was made of incomparably hard rock mixed with liquid metal—it turned as fragile as paper, letting out a "SIZZLE." The flame rapidly devoured the wall. The rock melted under the extreme heat, while the liquid metal evaporated into a silvery-white mist that filled the air. A hole roughly half a meter in diameter quickly appeared in the wall, its edges still glowing with molten metal that pulsed with a piercing red light.

Yan Fuzhen and the others stood a short distance away. Though they were several meters from the flame, the terrifying heat still made their skin burn as if they were standing in a furnace. Yan Fuzhen’s brow furrowed, and he subconsciously took a few steps back, raising a hand to shield his face from the oncoming heatwave. Fine beads of sweat had already formed on his forehead, and the back of his shirt was soaked through, clinging to his skin.

"This flame... it’s so tyrannical!" Yan Fuzhen muttered, his tone filled with unconcealed shock. Though he was a powerful expert who had been cultivating for many years, he still felt his heart clench in fear when faced with a flame that could so easily melt rock and metal.

Standing beside him, Lin Mo and Chen Nan grew even paler and couldn’t help but retreat further.

Ning Xuan calmly gazed at the Little Red Bird’s handiwork. ’As expected of a Legendary Level Companion Spirit, the Vermilion Bird, hailed as a Fire Spirit. It’s still so young, yet its flames are this powerful.’ The Little Red Bird had already flown back to her palm. She gently stroked its head, feeling the vast power contained within its small body. The bird tilted its head back and let out a few crisp "CHIRPS," as if asking for praise.

"So intelligent... Does this count as it having fully taken form?" Ning Xuan mused with a faint smile, a hint of affection flashing in her eyes.

Although she had long known that the power of a Companion Spirit was extraordinary, she was still shaken and thrilled to see it destroy the sturdy wall so effortlessly.

The flames gradually died down. Ning Xuan retracted the fire from around her, and the Little Red Bird faded back into her bloodline. She changed into a new set of clothes; the previous outfit, which she had spent a fortune on for its fire-resistant material, had still been incinerated.

The hole in the wall still radiated residual heat, and the surrounding wall was scorched black.

Seeing Ning Xuan emerge, Yan Fuzhen and the others finally breathed a sigh of relief. Di Youlin was the first to rush over, his gaze cloying as he looked at her, practically wanting to hang off her body. "Master, your Companion Spirit is so powerful."

Ning Xuan shot him a warning glance, and Di Youlin silently stood up straight.

"Contractor, congratulations on your immense increase in strength," Lin Mo said, cupping his hands in a formal gesture of celebration. His eyes were filled with reverence and admiration. ’I want to ask her if her Companion Spirit has fully taken form,’ he thought. ’But judging from the flames that just destroyed the wall, only a fully formed Companion Spirit could unleash such a powerful attack.’

Chen Nan and Yan Fuzhen also offered their congratulations to Ning Xuan.

Ning Xuan was also very happy. She could feel that the energy surging through her bloodline was different than before—it was as if a quantitative change had triggered a qualitative one. The formerly scattered, restless, and chaotic energy now flowed with a gentle peace. Ning Xuan focused on the new power within her, feeling as if an invisible bond now connected her consciousness to the mysterious force deep within her bloodline.

She closed her eyes, carefully savoring the changes in the energy’s fluctuations. Before, that energy was like a violent torrent, rampaging through her body, impossible to fully control, let alone utilize the full potential of her Bloodline Energy. But now, that power was no longer a vague and elusive presence. It was stable, perceptible, and could be summoned at will.

It had gone from chaotic to orderly, from unstable to stable. This mysterious power felt like a part of her own body, existing in symbiosis with her, ready to fight by her side at any moment.

When Ning Xuan opened her eyes again, a fiery light flashed within them. She gently lifted her hand, and a cluster of flames abruptly erupted in her palm. The color of the fire had changed from its previous crimson to a deep, purplish-gold, and it emanated a terrifying aura that seemed capable of destroying the very heavens and earth.

Chen Nan felt the might of the flame. The pressure radiating from Ning Xuan was like an invisible mountain pressing down on him, making it hard to breathe. He silently took another step back and lowered his head, not daring to get any closer.

Lin Mo and Yan Fuzhen, however, stared intently at the flame in Ning Xuan’s palm, utterly stunned. Although they weren’t Fire Element Cultivators, they could sense the terrifying power contained within that flame. It wasn’t just heat and destructive force; it was a power that bordered on a fundamental law, as if it could incinerate everything in existence.

Yan Fuzhen knew Ning Xuan’s awakened Companion Spirit was Legendary Level, but this was the first time he had ever witnessed the might of one firsthand.
