"You can," Ning Xuan replied with a nod.

"Then what kind of combat record do I need to achieve to return to your side, Master, and never have to leave again?" Lan Xin asked, looking at Ning Xuan with anticipation.

"Your life has been too monotonous. Once you’ve witnessed the vastness of the starry sea and felt the allure of power and strength, you won’t be thinking like this anymore," Ning Xuan said with a faint smile.

"The collar I gave you contains my pheromones. I’ve also prepared plenty of medicine for you. If you run out, I’ll have more sent over."

"Thank you, Master. I’m already wearing the collar." Lan Xin undid a button on his shirt, revealing the distinctive blue collar.

Lan Xin had interrupted Ning Xuan’s meal, and the Attendants were already starting to clear the plates.

Even though it was cold, the food on the plates still looked and smelled delicious. These exquisite dishes had all been meticulously prepared by Nine-tailed. "I’m sorry, Master. I interrupted your meal." As Lan Xin spoke, the tips of his ears turned red, and he lowered his head in shame.

"It’s fine. Go pack your things and report to the Second Legion’s recruitment station. Try to establish a Half-beastman legion as soon as possible," Ning Xuan said with a wave of her hand.

Lan Xin had just left when Lin Mo arrived.

Seeing the uneasy look on Lin Mo’s face, Ning Xuan spoke first. "Are you going back to the military, too? I remember you said you took a year of leave. That should be about up now, right?"

Ning Xuan guessed this was what was making him so hesitant.

There was a provision in Federation law stating that for one year after establishing a spiritual power contract, the Contractor must remain by the Contractor’s side. "Contractor, I’m not the one they really want to see." After saying this, Lin Mo fell to his knees.

"Say no more. Your leave is over anyway. Pack your things today and go back to your unit," Ning Xuan said, then got up to leave.

As Ning Xuan passed him, Lin Mo suddenly grabbed her legs. "Contractor, please, have mercy! Just let them meet once."

Lin Mo suddenly wrapped his arms around Ning Xuan’s waist and refused to let go.

"Have I shown you that video? Here, I’ve sent it to your inbox. Go find Yun Han right now. You two ’brothers’ can watch it together. If you still want to meet them after you’re done, then be my guest. I have no objections." The video Ning Xuan was talking about was the one Zhu Hongying and Yun Tianye had recorded when Yun Han was sent over in an Energy Cabin. Its main content was their promise to sever all ties with Yun Han and never see him again.

Chairman Wang of the Controller Protection Association stood before Villa 17, pacing back and forth, unwilling to leave. Behind her were more than ten Half-beastmen who had just turned eighteen.

These dozen or so Half-beastmen had all been hand-picked from Half-beastman slave tribes across the lands. After watching the video his parents had left, Yun Han had still chosen to go out and meet them. He had come back to beg Ning Xuan for forgiveness.

"I’m not angry anymore. However, I will make sure they see these pictures." Ning Xuan flipped through the photos she had just taken on her Light Computer’s screen.

In one photo, Yun Han was hanging upside down, suspended by a Black-red Vine. The thorns on the vine wrapped around his ankles had pierced his skin, causing bloody blossoms to bloom on his fair complexion. Yun Han’s brow was furrowed, his face a mask of pain.

In another photo, Yun Han was blindfolded with a black silk scarf, his hands bound behind his back, kneeling in a room filled with instruments of torture.
