"I’m begging you, please don’t provoke him anymore. He’s my father, after all. For the sake of my usefulness to you, please don’t hold this against him." Yun Han wrapped his arms around Ning Xuan’s waist and swayed her, nuzzling his fluffy head against her chest.

"Master, someone from the Political Hall Headquarters is here to see you," the voice of smart-steward 17 echoed in the room.

"Have Yan Fuzhen handle it." Ning Xuan was finding it hard to resist Yun Han’s little antics. She threaded her hand into his hair, tilted his head back, and looked at the exquisitely beautiful face that was now upturned. Bending down, she kissed him. ’With such beauty before me, what’s there to be angry about?’

’If he wants to see his parents, then let him.’

’This gives me a perfect excuse to do some things to him that I normally couldn’t.’

Ning Xuan handed off all the miscellaneous matters to Yan Fuzhen—requests for meetings, gift deliveries, offers of people, proposals for cooperation, and all the rest.

"Family Head, this is the gift manifest from the Half-Beastman Administration Bureau. Please take a look." Yan Fuzhen handed a thick booklet to Ning Xuan.

The booklet was made of pages folded one on top of the other. When Ning Xuan unfolded it, it was incredibly long. The Fire Phoenix Feathers were crimson, delicate, soft, and as warm as heated jade. It was said that a Fire Phoenix Feather would not be destroyed even if placed in lava and fire, and was a core material for drawing High-level Fire Talismans.

The Profound Turtle Shell was a plain-looking, bluish-gray piece of shell inscribed with unique patterns. It was as heavy as a mountain. This shell was said to automatically absorb all Earth Element Energy within a hundred-foot radius for its own defense, making it an excellent material for refining shield-type defensive weapons.

The Qilin Horn was as crystal-clear and translucent as quartz, containing a seven-colored, iridescent glow within. This horn could store various types of energy and, after being refined, could be used as an energy storage device.

The White Jade Elephant Tusks were as white as snow, their sharp tips like unsheathed blades. A light swipe could tear through a defensive barrier. They were a precious material that could be refined into divine armaments.

After examining these few materials, Ning Xuan was somewhat stunned. For the Half-Beastman Administration Bureau to offer up such fine things... and while the remaining materials weren’t as rare, their sheer quantity made them incredibly valuable.

"They’re certainly generous," Ning Xuan remarked.

"Family Head, this was left by the people from the Political Hall Headquarters. The messenger said he came under orders from Lord Yu Mingche, the Governor of the Political Hall, to deliver a gift to you." Yan Fuzhen then had someone bring in a glittering golden chest.

Yan Fuzhen opened the chest, and a dazzling light burst forth, instantly filling the entire room with a radiant, multicolored glow.

The top layer of the chest was artfully arranged with glittering, translucent gemstones of various shapes. At the very center lay a star ruby. Six golden rays converged within the deep crimson crystal, as if sealing a burning sun.

An egg-sized tourmaline, perfectly clear throughout, seemed to have an emerald-green light flowing slowly within it like liquid.

There was also a black gemstone that seemed capable of pulling in a person’s very soul. As one’s viewing angle shifted, its jet-black color would transform, revealing shades of violet, emerald green, and amber gold in sequence, like a glimpse into a brilliant river of stars.

These were all incredibly rare and precious gems. Beneath them lay three black keys and a golden token.

"Family Head, the messenger also said that Lord Yu will be paying a visit tomorrow. He added that Lord Yu has already authorized access to all assets under his name, which you can view on your Light Computer," Yan Fuzhen relayed.

Ning Xuan picked up a red gemstone, recalling Yu Mingche’s face. A faint smile touched her lips. "If he comes tomorrow, have him make a trip to the Controller Protection Association first."

Yu Mingche was one of the people who had hidden their personal information after the main brain’s matchmaking. Since Chen Nan and the others had already been punished for this, Yu Mingche could not be an exception.

"Yes, Family Head," Yan Fuzhen replied.

Next, Yan Fuzhen continued his report. The Controller Protection Association sent word that since Ning Xuan’s Spiritual Power Level had advanced to SS-level, there was a reward she needed to collect in person.

The rankings for the Federation University’s joint graduation exam had been announced, and the corresponding rewards were being distributed.
