Upon hearing Ning Xuan’s words, Mo Yu’s expression slowly soured. In all his life, he had never met someone who disrespected him so openly.

Mo Yu lowered his head, staring at his pale knuckles as his Adam’s apple bobbed. When he looked up again, a vein was throbbing on his forehead. "Miss Ning, we clearly could have been friends. Must you make an enemy of me?" His voice rose sharply at the end, drawing many eyes.

"Oh? So you’re done with the act?" Ning Xuan said mockingly.

"If we’re talking about making enemies, weren’t you the one who started it? On the New Star Body, I could have easily killed you, but I spared your life. All I did was take a few trophies. What, are you that much of a sore loser?" Ning Xuan asked with a sneer.

"Come on, let’s go. There are too many people here. Why are you making a scene?" someone said, rushing over to pull Mo Yu away.

"Who’s making a scene? Let go of me." Mo Yu tried to struggle, but the person held his arm in a vise grip and whispered something in his ear. Afterward, Mo Yu obediently returned to his seat.

The rest of the graduation ceremony was unremarkable. It followed the standard procedure, and no other incidents occurred.

Meanwhile, at the Controller Protection Association, Chairman Wang’s face was creased with worry.

He stared at the surveillance footage from the seventh basement level, watching the incessantly flashing danger icons. His heart was about to leap out of his chest.

On the monitor, a blinding red light spun wildly through all the corridors of the seventh level. Chairman Wang’s palm, resting on the console, grew slick with sweat. He saw Di Youlin in Room 701, his pupils splitting and burning with fire. Deep within the flames, the faint silhouette of overlapping wings emerged. At the same time, the wings on his back suddenly erupted, instantly extending to a length of dozens of meters. The feathers on those wings turned a fiery red, like molten fire, casting an eerie orange-red glow across the entire screen.

Chairman Wang felt like crying but couldn’t shed a tear. He never imagined that Di Youlin would descend into an energy riot the moment he returned.

"Activate Level Three energy suppression!" The moment Chairman Wang hit the button on the console, a grating sound of rending metal echoed from the seventh basement level. Fortunately, the entire level had been built specifically to handle Di Youlin’s condition. With this equipment, they could at least contain the energy riot to the seventh level for now.

While activating the energy suppression, Chairman Wang quickly sent the surveillance footage of Di Youlin losing control to Di Jingtian, pleading with him to come and get Di Youlin as soon as possible.

Di Jingtian quickly responded with a holographic call. "Chairman Wang, have you told Miss Ning about his current condition?" Di Jingtian asked.

"No, Master Di. Ning Xuan has already handed over her Controller duties. She’s technically no longer involved with Mr. Di," Chairman Wang said with a pained expression.

"But isn’t Miss Ning able to stabilize him? Notify her at once! Get her to go over there," Di Jingtian said, his voice laced with anxiety.

Youling had only just regained his stability. His Level is so high, and he was on the cusp of eliminating the dangerous instability of his transformation, with hope of finally controlling the shift between his human and beast forms. They couldn’t let it all fall apart now.

Chairman Wang couldn’t help but roll his eyes. He was just about to refuse Di Jingtian’s unreasonable demand when the sensors in the control room began to shake violently, and the monitoring equipment erupted in a shower of brilliant sparks.

Chairman Wang staggered, grabbing a handrail for support as a piercing alarm blared. "BEEP. BEEP. BEEP. Target individual’s internal energy suppressor damaged. Level Seven energy suppression plating compromised. Level Seven central control system compromised. Surveillance feed terminating."

In the last moment before the holographic projection went black, Chairman Wang saw the burning feathers on Di Youlin’s unfurled wings trace dark-gold patterns in the air. Ancient runes swirled within the flames. Di Youlin’s crimson eyes, devoid of all emotion, were staring right at him.

Chairman Wang frantically took a screenshot of the final image and immediately forwarded it to both Di Jingtian and Ning Xuan.

After sending the image, Chairman Wang re-established the connection with Di Jingtian. "Master Di, look at the eyes on your precious son! He’s completely lost his senses! Half the equipment on the seventh basement level is destroyed. I have no visuals on the situation down there anymore. The Half-beastmen and trainees on the fourth, fifth, and sixth levels are all being affected by the energy riot. We’ve had to evacuate them."

"He’s far more powerful now than he was three years ago. The equipment on Level Seven could contain him back then, but it might not hold him now. If he breaks out, we’ll have no choice but to initiate the destruction protocol for the sake of public safety. You need to decide now. Either you go and beg Ning Xuan to come up with a solution, or we wait for him to ride out this riot on his own—assuming he survives it." Despite his urgency, Chairman Wang laid out the potential outcomes for Di Jingtian with grim clarity.

"I understand. I’m on my way now. I can’t get in touch with Ning Xuan, so you contact her for me. Please, tell her she must get over there. We can discuss any conditions she has. Just get Youling to calm down first," Di Jingtian said to Chairman Wang as he rushed over in a high-speed Flying Car.

After Di Jingtian boarded the Flying Car, he was surprised to see Wen Yuebai was also there, along with two other women sitting beside her.

"Why did you bring them?" Di Jingtian asked, his expression souring as he looked at the two women.

"Both of their Spiritual Power Levels have broken through to S-Class. I’m bringing them along to see if they can help. What if it works?" Wen Yuebai said.

"This is absurd! You know exactly how they broke through to S-Class, don’t you? It’s one thing to keep this secret, but parading them around in public? What if someone notices something? How will you deal with the fallout then?" Di Jingtian said, his eyes fixed on the two women.

He saw that the women’s expressions didn’t change in the slightest. They didn’t even blink. ’He sighed inwardly.’

"So what if they find out? I was being kind by helping them upgrade. They all consented, signed agreements, and there’s even video proof," Wen Yuebai said, completely unconcerned.

"Yu Yu, their spiritual power may have increased, but their minds have been adversely affected! In this state, how could they possibly calm Youling?" Di Jingtian said in exasperation.

"Even if they can’t calm him, at least it will show that Ning Xuan that we’re not incapable of finding other suitable candidates with high Spiritual Power Levels. She shouldn’t be so arrogant just because her Level is high." Wen Yuebai was clearly aware that these two women would be of no use to Di Youlin; she had brought them along simply to take Ning Xuan down a peg.

In Wen Yuebai’s eyes, her son was exceptionally handsome, came from an illustrious family, and was immensely powerful in his own right. It was impossible that Ning Xuan wasn’t interested in Di Youlin. If Ning Xuan thought she was indispensable, then Wen Yuebai would just have to find her a couple of rivals.
