After drinking the fever suppression medicine, Lan Xin fell into a deep slumber. In his sleep, he had some unknown, amorous dream, and a dewy flush of passion suffused his face.

Yun Han pulled Ning Xuan into his arms, glaring warily at Chen Nan.

"Young Master Yun, I’m the only one who has ever served the Contractor during her fever period. I have more experience than you," Chen Nan said, his gaze on Ning Xuan burning with an undisguised desire to win her favor.

Ever since Ning Xuan had summoned him to her bed a few days ago, Chen Nan’s tendency to shrink back and avoid Yun Han had changed dramatically.

"Contractor," Chen Nan cried out as Ning Xuan threw him into the bedroom. His back slammed against the foot of the large bed in the center of the room. Her strength had been so great that the impact sent a sharp, raw pain through his back.

However, Chen Nan had inhaled a considerable amount of her pheromones while she dragged him inside, forcing him into a fever state as well. A tingling numbness was seeping from the depths of his marrow, spreading rapidly through his entire body.

Under the influence of this tingling numbness, even the sharp pain in his back was consumed by the sensation. Chen Nan eagerly began to undress, his eyes betraying his desperate craving as he looked at Ning Xuan.

Kneeling on the floor beside the bed, Chen Nan compliantly tilted his head back, baring his long neck and offering it up to her like a sacrifice.

As Ning Xuan bit down, fearsome Black-red Vines erupted from her hands, engulfing Chen Nan completely.

Ning Xuan’s internal clock woke her at her usual time. She opened her eyes and glanced at Chen Nan, who was still wrapped in the vines beside her, and felt a pang of guilt.

"Mhm." Ning Xuan nodded. She held out her hand, and with a WHOOSH, the vines shot into her palm and vanished.
