Her Spiritual Sea was in turmoil and energy rampaged through her body. Yet, she didn’t feel much discomfort—not until a surge of Wind and Thunder Power emanated from the depths of her bloodline.

A rumbling thunder echoed from within her. The pale blue Wind and Thunder Power collided with the gold-red Flame Energy. Gold and blue intertwined, churning inside Ning Xuan’s body.

World-shaking noises erupted from the Alchemy Room, yet no one came to check on her.

Di Youlin, Nine-tailed, Qing Ze, Chen Nan, Lin Mo, Yun Han, and Lan Xin were all gathered in the central hall of the tree hollow, discussing the day’s events.

Chen Nan suddenly clutched his head and cried out in pain. His Companion Spirit, the Green-eyed Golden Eagle, also let out a shrill cry as it materialized behind him.

Just as Lin Mo was about to ask what was wrong, his eyes suddenly turned bloodshot, and his Companion Spirit, the Blue Flame White Tiger, appeared uncontrollably.

A pained look flashed across Lan Xin’s face as scales grew back on his skin. He then began to convulse violently. His legs transformed into a writhing, blue snake tail, and he froze, like an insect trapped in amber.

Only Yun Han, despite the pain on his face, did not have his Companion Spirit materialize.

However, Yun Han stared at the blood-red Vermilion Bird Divine Beast mark that had appeared on his arm, his expression complicated. He glanced at the others. ’They should have marks like this too,’ he thought, ’just hidden on different parts of their bodies.’

"What’s wrong? What’s happening to you all? Why is this suddenly happening?" Nine-tailed asked nervously, seeing the changes in Yun Han and the others.

Yun Han gritted his teeth against the soul-tearing agony and spoke intermittently, "Something’s... happening with Ning Xuan. Don’t move. Don’t... disturb her."
