Chapter 155: Repair

Chapter 155

Lin Mo couldn’t stop himself from taking a step forward and grabbing Yun Han’s hand. He cried out, "Yun Han, Yun Han, can you hear me?"

Little White looked at Yun Han, then jumped onto Ning Xuan. It tugged at Ning Xuan with one paw, pointed at Yun Han with the other, and whimpered pitifully.

Perhaps because they had spent some time together, Ning Xuan somehow understood the meaning behind Little White’s gestures and expression. She flicked its head lightly. "You ungrateful little thing. You drain my energy every day, only to spend it on someone else. And now you expect me to be the one to save him."

Though that’s what Ning Xuan said, Yun Han was hers now. She really did have to save him.

Ning Xuan placed her right hand on Yun Han’s wrist. His pulse had changed dramatically from when he first arrived. Back then, his pulse had indicated that his qi and blood were depleted and his life force was on the verge of extinction. But after this period of receiving nourishing energy from Little White, the energy had stimulated his blood vessels, generating new blood and restoring his vitality. Today, his qi and blood were even showing signs of becoming robust.

’Since his physical condition has improved, I wonder if his Spiritual Sea has changed as well.’ Thinking this, Ning Xuan retrieved a Golden Needle from her Space Button and inserted it into his Forehead Acupoint. She channeled a wisp of spiritual power onto the Golden Needle, and with a gentle twirl of her fingertips at its end, the needle began to emit a faint golden glow. She closed her eyes, her consciousness following the vibrations of the needle’s tip as it slowly sank into that chaotic Spiritual Sea.

Yun Han’s Spiritual Sea was still sealed, showing no other changes. Ning Xuan’s spiritual power slowly probed the perimeter of the sealed sea. Suddenly, her vision went black, and she found herself in a place of cold darkness. She had been here before. This was the inside of Yun Han’s self-sealed Spiritual Sea. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮

Yun Han’s Spiritual Sea was filled with blade-like gales, Thunder, and biting cold. A violent, unstable storm raged within. She dodged frantically, each collision with the razor winds inflicting a tearing pain. Soon, that wisp of her spiritual power had been significantly weakened.

’This can’t go on,’ Ning Xuan thought. ’My spiritual power is already battered. If I keep trying to brute-force my way through, I’ll probably be devoured by this raging Spiritual Sea.’ Assessing the storm’s destructive power, she took a deep breath and decided to take a gamble.

Ning Xuan condensed the bulk of her spiritual power into a single mass. Then, following the faint channel she had opened with that first wisp, she plunged it all into Yun Han’s Spiritual Sea.

Her spiritual power shot through the darkness like a golden meteor, heading straight for the storm’s core.

The moment she plunged into the storm’s center, a powerful, devouring force assaulted her. This was the volatile core of Yun Han’s uncontrolled spiritual power. Ning Xuan held fast to her Ben Shen and forcibly steadied her mind, transforming her spiritual power into a vast net in an attempt to envelop the rampant energy.

Although Ning Xuan’s Spiritual Power Level was lower than Yun Han’s, her control was exceptionally strong. Moreover, female spiritual power possessed a powerful soothing and ordering function, which happened to be the perfect counter to this berserk energy. Coupled with the fact that Yun Han’s spiritual power had been trapped within his Spiritual Sea for a long time, consuming itself and growing much weaker than it was at its peak, the first powerful wave of resistance was thus neutralized.

"Yun Han, come out!" Ning Xuan’s voice echoed in the Spiritual Sea, tinged with a hint of impatient anger. Since Yun Han’s Spiritual Sea hadn’t collapsed, it meant his primary consciousness still existed, merely suppressed by the violent and agitated spiritual power.

Something deep within the storm seemed to answer Ning Xuan’s call. She sensed it immediately. Her spiritual power pierced the storm like a dagger, searching for the consciousness Yun Han had hidden in its very depths.

The deeper she went, the stronger the storm raged. Its immense destructive power nearly crushed Ning Xuan’s spiritual power. In such an environment, Ning Xuan couldn’t "see" anything. She could only rely on a thread of perception, inching her way toward the presence she had sensed.

As she drew closer, the presence she had sensed gradually came into focus. It was a hazy, glowing mass. A closer look revealed a curled-up human form—it was Yun Han’s consciousness body.

"Yun Han!" Ning Xuan shouted, her voice like a clap of thunder.

Yun Han’s spirit body, which was curled into a ball, stirred at the sound. It moved slightly, then slowly opened its eyes. His gaze was dazed at first but quickly regained a measure of clarity.

"You... who are you? How are you here?" Yun Han’s voice was extremely weak, but filled with surprise.

"You’ll know who I am soon enough. Come with me." Ning Xuan’s spirit body enveloped Yun Han’s consciousness body and, without another word, pulled him out of the storm.

The consciousness body is the command center of one’s spiritual power. Normally, it is sheathed in layers of spiritual power, protected within the core region. It resides inside the Spiritual Sea, governing all activities of the Divine Sense.

However, with Yun Han’s spiritual power running rampant, his Spiritual Sea was in ruins. His consciousness body had become extremely weak and had fallen into a deep slumber. In fact, the only reason it had managed to survive until now was by entering that death-like state of hibernation.

"I am going to teach you an incantation. After I do, use it to gather your scattered spiritual power," Ning Xuan told Yun Han.

Yun Han’s consciousness body took in its surroundings as memories, dormant until now, began to awaken. As he had fallen into that deep slumber, he had known there was no chance he would ever wake up again. And yet, Ning Xuan’s arrival had roused him.

"Do you understand what I’m saying?" Ning Xuan asked.

"I understand," Yun Han replied instinctively.

Even if he didn’t understand the situation, he knew the one before him was his savior. Faced with Ning Xuan’s spiritual power, he couldn’t even think of resisting. Besides, her spiritual power was so compatible with his that he felt a deep-seated sense of closeness to her.

Ning Xuan taught Yun Han an incantation for "Concentrating Spirit and Gathering Soul," taken from the Soul Nourishing Scripture. The incantation itself wasn’t difficult, and Yun Han’s aptitude for comprehension was remarkably high. After Ning Xuan explained it once, Yun Han immediately put it into practice. Soon, under his control, the chaotic and disorderly spiritual power within his turbulent Spiritual Sea began to gather around his consciousness body. Bit by bit, it seeped inside. Nourished by the spiritual power, the once-hazy, weak ball of light rapidly solidified, its aura growing steadily stronger.

Although violent winds and thunder still raged within Yun Han’s Spiritual Sea, his strengthening consciousness body was gradually gaining the power to fight back.

"Once you’ve finished your repairs, open up your Spiritual Sea."

With basic order restored in Yun Han’s Spiritual Sea, Ning Xuan withdrew her spiritual power and returned to her own body. She slowly opened her eyes to find Lin Mo’s face looming over hers, magnified by its closeness.

Ning Xuan frowned. She pulled the Golden Needle from Yun Han’s forehead and stored it back in her Space Button. She knew that even though his Spiritual Sea had regained a semblance of order, a full recovery would still require much more time.
