Dual Worlds: I Have a Doomsday World

Hundreds of Formula Dogfight vehicles poured out of the vehicle bay, soaring into the sky so fast that no one in the arena could react.

The racetrack?

Fixed coordinates?

They paid them no mind!

These fully armed Formula Dogfight vehicles had only one target: Si’s Twin Towers!

As the hundreds of Formula Dogfight vehicles left the arena, all eyes in the commercial district were drawn to them.

Flowing light-strip tails, aggressive simulated roars—some vehicles were even equipped with ridiculously powerful music players.

They formed a long, neon-colored ribbon, tearing through the red and blue tones of the Cyber City’s backdrop and transforming into a fluid arrow aimed straight for the Twin Towers.

High in the sky, the members of the Round Table Conference from the European Administrative Region, standing atop their aircraft, noticed the disturbance on the ground.

"Looks like someone had the same idea as us—use vehicles to get straight to the middle and upper sections of the Twin Towers."

"Not necessarily. What if they’re just after the ten million dollar bounty and only want to destroy the Twin Towers?"

"Who’s going to believe that? What can you even do with ten million? Any faction that’s gathered here is either aiming to take down the two big corporations or to protect the Si and Liu Families."

There were six members in total, positioned on the plane’s wings.

Their numbers were small, and there were no S-Class Implanters among them.

They only had one or two S-Class Prosthetic Body parts between them, not enough to be considered S-Class combatants.

But aside from their Prosthetic Bodies, all six possessed an extraordinary aura—or rather, a peculiar spiritual fluctuation.

Extraordinary Professions!

Six Tier Three Extraordinary Professionals, each with full-body A-Class Prosthetic Implantation.

Their combat power was strictly capped just below S-Class and Tier Four.

The Round Table Conference reported directly to the European Political Zone Big Business Alliance, and they understood certain restrictions in the Asian Administrative Region far better than any Mercenary Corps.

The prosthetic legs of the six members were firmly clamped to the aircraft’s wings as they watched the Twin Towers draw ever closer.

"Prepare for impact. Round Shield Stance."

In that instant, the Spiritual Power of the six members linked together.

If Lin Qi’s Spiritual Vision had been able to reach them, he would have seen innumerable Spiritual Particles converge, forming a Round Shield that protected the six of them.

At five hundred meters out, the exterior of the Twin Towers began to change.

Massive armor plates emerged, covering the original glass facade.

A-Class Materials, nearly identical to those on the Red and Green Train.

The Twin Towers were no ordinary buildings; they were the public face of the Si Clan.

How could the Si Clan possibly have left the building itself undefended?

How could the impact of a mere old-fashioned plane possibly destroy the Twin Towers?

Given the Twin Towers’ structural integrity, they could withstand the impact of ten or twenty such planes without sustaining significant damage.

The six Extraordinary Professionals seemed to have anticipated this; their goal had never been to destroy the Twin Towers.

They were merely using the plane to get close and sow chaos.

Perhaps they could even bait the smaller Mercenary Corps into joining the fray, muddying the waters even further.

An instant before impact, all six deployed small missiles, bombarding the exterior of the Twin Towers.

The missiles were high-grade—S-Class compact weapons.

The Twin Towers’ external armor couldn’t withstand the assault, and a breach was blasted open.

The plane struck.

The six had already leaped from the plane, entering the Twin Towers through the breach.

Tower B had over two hundred floors, and the members of the Round Table Conference had targeted the middle section.

Lin Qi watched the impact unfold clearly through the video feeds from the Formula Dogfight vehicles, and he also noted the existence of the Twin Towers’ external armor.

By now, the hundred Formula Dogfight vehicles had arrived within a hundred meters of the Twin Towers.

On all the vehicles, weapon bays snapped open.

Formula Dogfight was, at its core, a violent race filled with weapons and explosions.

A-Class Material bodies, A-Class compact weapons—that was the minimum configuration.

’According to the architectural model Guang Ling gave me, floors 80 through 85 have special reinforcements. There’s also a dedicated vertical shaft leading down.’

’Such a peculiar architectural design.’

’Now where would the person being protected be?’

’It’s so hard to guess!’

’And where could that special shaft possibly lead?’

’It’s just impossible to figure out, isn’t it?’

Lin Qi took out his comm band to contact King Arthur. "There should be an escape tunnel in Tower B leading to the underground sewer system. In a minute, I’m going to have over a hundred A-Class vehicles ram the Twin Towers."

"Once we breach the external armor, the massive payload of A-Class weapons in the vehicles will sympathetically detonate. Even if the Twin Towers don’t completely collapse, they’ll snap in half. Si Ying will definitely try to escape. Pay close attention to any activity in the underground tunnels. If you find Si Ying, don’t engage—we can’t risk getting locked by the revenge fund. Lin Qi wasn’t certain King Arthur would be able to find Si Ying, but he was sure that *someone* would.

A fight in the underground tunnel system would cause a huge commotion; as long as King Arthur wasn’t an idiot, he was bound to notice.

After sending the message to King Arthur, Lin Qi refocused his attention on controlling the Formula Dogfight vehicles.

Controlling over a hundred vehicles at once, even with algorithmic assistance from Guang Ling, required Lin Qi’s utmost caution.

He only had one chance. If he missed, it would be difficult to take an active role in the night’s events again.

On the outskirts of the Twin Towers, mercenaries lay hidden in the surroundings.

"That plane crashed, and jack squat happened to the Twin Towers. Not even a puff of smoke."

"But some heavy hitters charged inside. No idea which faction they belong to."

Over a hundred Formula vehicles converged on the face of Si’s Twin Towers.

In an instant, a massive volley of A-Class missiles was unleashed.

Hundreds of exhaust trails flared like the fletching on a flight of arrows.

A deafening roar echoed out.

A single A-Class missile couldn’t destroy A-Class armor.

But the continuous bombardment from hundreds of them generated enough heat and concussive force to rip a massive gash open on the eighty-third floor.

The next second, all the Formula vehicles surged forward, ramming into Tower B of the Twin Towers in unison.

Inside the Twin Towers, in the 83rd-floor safe house.

Si Ying sat alone, with no security personnel nearby.

In Si Li’s words, if anything could go wrong in the 83rd-floor safe house, it would have to be the work of a Tier Four Extraordinary Professional, against whom security guards would be utterly meaningless.

Si Li’s judgment had been correct. With the Iron Curtain activated and all external weapons support cut off, it should have been impossible to gather enough firepower within Greenfield City to breach the 83rd-floor safe house.

But no one could have ever imagined that someone would commandeer every single vehicle from a Formula Dogfight racetrack and use them to bombard the Twin Towers.

The result of this was that Si Ying felt a violent tremor from within the safe house.

The Si Pharmaceutical corporate AI immediately determined that the safe house was compromised.

The next moment, the safe house plummeted, dropping rapidly through a security shaft toward the levels below ground.

A second later, countless vehicles smashed into the tower’s interior, and their remaining munitions went up in a catastrophic sympathetic detonation.

Viewed from the outside, the upper half of Si’s Twin Towers, from the 83rd floor up, began to lean at a severe angle.

Thick smoke and flames billowed from the gash on the 83rd floor.

The Twin Towers... were about to collapse...
