After Ding Yang left, Lin Qi, Xia Chu, and Wang Ziru remained in the conference room.

Wang Ziru looked at Lin Qi and asked cautiously, "Boss, should I arrange for a squad to scout for intelligence near Beining District?"

Lin Qi shook his head. "There’s a Tier Three Monster in Beining District. Its Ability is bizarre, and only an Extraordinary can offer any resistance."

Xia Chu looked like she wanted to say something, but Lin Qi cut her off. "The Extraordinaries in our camp most likely can’t resist that monster’s Ability. It’s not as simple as an ordinary Tier Three—it might not be far from Tier Four. Tier One Extraordinaries shouldn’t get involved recklessly. I’ll go myself."

Xia Chu hesitated, but in the end, she didn’t say what was on her mind.

Wang Ziru, however, keenly grasped the core of Lin Qi’s words.

Wang Ziru spoke in shock, "Boss, don’t tell me... you’re already Tier Two?"

His shocked expression was a bit over the top. Lin Qi could see traces of acting in it.

He nodded. "My Ability is geared toward the spiritual level. Now that I’ve reached Tier Two, as long as I don’t go near that building, the monster most likely can’t harm me."

Wang Ziru immediately followed up with praise, "As expected of our Boss! With a genius like you at Mo University, we’ll definitely be able to gain a firm foothold in this Doomsday World!"

Flattery is timeless. Even though Lin Qi could tell Wang Ziru was putting on an act, he wasn’t put off by it.

"I’m heading out to investigate. The camp is in your hands." He first instructed Wang Ziru, then turned his gaze to Xia Chu. "From what I’ve observed, you’re not far from Tier One Third Stage. Break through as soon as you can. The camp needs more power on the Extraordinary Side."

Xia Chu nodded, and much of the anxiety in her heart subsided.

After giving his instructions, Lin Qi walked out of the conference room and went to the entrance of the Club Activity Building, stopping beneath the Mecha that stood beside it like a Gate God.

"Follow mode," he called out.

His unique voiceprint was recognized by the collector bot inside the Mecha.

The spider-shaped collector bot immediately detached from the Mecha’s cockpit.

Without the collector bot’s auxiliary computing power, the Mecha was temporarily just an empty shell.

’Chip production is a major problem in the Doomsday World,’ he thought. ’Especially high-performance chips. I can pretty much only rely on what I bring from the Cyber World.’

With every mission in the Doomsday World, Lin Qi was reminded of the scarcity of all kinds of resources.

But the resources he could bring from the Cyber World were limited; it was impossible to solve the problem completely.

He steeled his resolve. ’I can’t create a fully-realized cyberpunk society here. I can only use the limited resources I have. Instead of pursuing the sophisticated high-tech of a true cyberpunk world, I’ll just go for brute force. I’ll forge a unique, doomsday-style cyberpunk path, leaning more toward biopunk and atompunk, and ultimately, quickly establish a ’doomsday-punk’ reality within the Mo University Camp.’

His development strategy for the Doomsday World had shifted slightly. The direction of the science and technology he brought here would need to be adjusted in the future.

The anomaly in Beining District was putting a lot of pressure on Lin Qi. He had to accelerate the Mo University Camp’s development by any means necessary.

Preoccupied with these thoughts, Lin Qi walked off the Mo University Campus.

Inside the campus, there was no sign of Zombies. The Mo University Camp students had already built simple fortifications along the walls and at the gates, preventing ordinary Zombies from getting inside.

But the moment Lin Qi stepped off the Mo University Campus, the environment changed drastically.

The number of Zombies on the streets seemed undiminished; they were still wandering everywhere.

’The Zombies’ strength is almost on par with a Tier One physically-enhanced Extraordinary. It looks like they’re gradually mastering the power of the Crimson Crystal Stones in their heads.’

’Without a weapon, an ordinary survivor is absolutely no match for a Zombie.’

The number of people who fit that description is pitifully small.’

Lin Qi now understood what Ding Yang had meant by the "golden window for rescue."

Before the Zombies’ explosive power-up, survivors could still risk going out to find rescue teams or search for supplies.

But now, survivors were trapped in their homes, waiting helplessly for rescue.

With their limited manpower, it was impossible for the Hongshan Rescue Team to conduct a comprehensive search of the entire Hongshan District.

From this point on, the number of survivors making it to the camps would no longer increase exponentially.

By his estimation, the survival rate since the apocalypse began was likely less than one percent.

Lin Qi’s mood wasn’t greatly affected by this realization.

To Lin Qi, the Doomsday World was merely a resource base; he felt no deep sense of belonging here.

All his actions were geared toward securing a better flow of resources in the future.

Within the fallen zone, one risked being lured by the Tier Three Monster’s Spiritual Power.

Facing a Tier Three Monster, Lin Qi was extremely cautious. He wouldn’t take a single step into the fallen zone.
