Dual Worlds: I Have a Doomsday World

The speech wasn’t complicated. A good portion of the people already knew about the design of the implantable Prosthetic Bodies.

When Lin Qi mentioned the possible side effects, someone stood up.

"Lin Qi, since the implantable Prosthetic Bodies might have side effects, then... let us teachers be the first to have them implanted. The students in the camp are still young; they can’t take such a risk."

Lin Qi looked in the direction of the voice and saw a professor with graying hair.

Lin Qi had seen this professor’s file.

He was a professor from the School of Equine Studies.

Following the professor’s words, another person stood up.

"Senior Lin Qi, we’re still young. After consuming enough Crimson Crystals, our bodies are tough. There’s no need to trouble the professors. Just let us get the implants directly."

"Senior Lin Qi, don’t worry. This is all for the survival of the camp. I heard from Senior Wang Ziru that it’s not just our Mo University Camp; all the camps in the Dragon Country are in peril. Lin Qi hadn’t actually said much, not even anything emotionally stirring.

But one student after another stood up from the crowd.

Lin Qi took a closer look. Most of them were from the old professor’s school.

Lin Qi glanced at Wang Ziru, who was sitting in the front row shouting, "Count me in!"

’He didn’t even need to think to know this was most likely arranged by Wang Ziru.’

Wang Ziru responded immediately, organizing everyone to quiet down.

"While the implantable Prosthetic Bodies do have risks, the technology is relatively mature. With regular check-ups, the risk can be reduced to an extremely low level."

"Furthermore, besides Prosthetic Bodies, Extraordinary Power also exists in this world..."

Lin Qi repeated what he had told Yu Wen and the others on the sixth floor.

He told everyone: "In the future, if it becomes safe and the apocalypse ends, we will be able to remove the Prosthetic Bodies and restore our flesh-and-blood bodies."

"The current hardships require us to endure with a firm will, but in the near future, there will be beauty and tranquility waiting for us to enjoy."

’In reality, with the combination of Prosthetic Body implantation and Rapid Growth, there were no risks at all.’

’The reason Lin Qi had made the consequences sound relatively severe was actually as a precaution against the Dragon Country’s officials in the Doomsday World.’

After he explained all this, everyone present was relieved.

These were the current thoughts of the Mo University Camp survivors. All their worries had been cast aside, and they were just waiting for the labs on the sixth floor to produce the Prosthetic Bodies.

The assembly ended amidst cheers. Lin Qi walked out of the lecture hall with Wang Ziru by his side.

"The professor and the first group of students... you arranged them, didn’t you?" Lin Qi asked Wang Ziru.

Wang Ziru immediately lowered his head and said, "Boss, I acted on my own. After all, this matter concerns the safety and future of Mo University Camp, so I had to resort to some machinations."

"But the professor was absolutely a volunteer. He was also thinking about the continuation of the Mo University Camp."

"Boss, rest assured. Even if this gets brought up in the future, it was me pulling the strings. It will have absolutely nothing to do with you."

Wang Ziru took all the responsibility upon himself.

Lin Qi looked at Wang Ziru and said, "You don’t have to do this in the future. I give you tasks to do. As long as you can get them done well, that’s what matters. You don’t need to worry about my status in the camp."

After saying that, Lin Qi entered the elevator and returned to the sixth floor.

Wang Ziru didn’t follow. He still had to coordinate the upcoming production and installation work. Whether it was production or having the half-baked medical students in the infirmary learn the skills of a Prosthetic Doctor using Lin Qi’s manual, it all needed Wang Ziru’s arrangement.

Standing at the elevator door, Wang Ziru considered Lin Qi’s words.

With the crowd still gathered, he busied himself with arranging the work.

Lin Qi returned to the sixth floor and sat down in the conference room.

Everything he needed to do today was finished. The production and installation of Prosthetic Bodies for Mo University Camp would take at least a week to implement.

Judging from the personnel distribution in Mo University Camp, production wouldn’t be a problem. There were enough science and engineering students, and the others who were assisting had long since become skilled workers.

The tricky part was the installation.

’The work of a Prosthetic Doctor isn’t so easy. Starting from my next return to the Doomsday World, I’m probably going to be quite busy myself. If an installation is crooked, or if an arm or leg isn’t amputated correctly, I’ll have to use my Ability to help out.’

’After a while, once Mo University’s Prosthetic Body production is fully established, I’ll definitely sell a batch to Hongshan Camp. I’ll need these young Prosthetic Doctors to step up then too.’

’Prosthetic Bodies are a feat of engineering technology, and I have no intention of handing the tech over to the Headquarters. ’For now, there isn’t much to consider in the Doomsday World. I just need to follow the plan. Once the Zombies and monsters get stronger, I’ll naturally be able to acquire new Extraordinary Items.’

’What I need to consider now is the Cyber World. The Asia Political Zone Advanced Pharmaceutical Enterprise Summit and the Ning Xin situation are both problems.’

’In the Cyber World, two major problems lay before me.’

’The summit concerned the situation at United Pharmaceutical and the stability of my public identity.’

’Meanwhile, Ning Xin and the Mercenary Corps mission concerned the Wizard Profession, which was even more intimately related to me.’

’For now, I can only react to things as they come and wait for news from Guang Ling’s side.’

Closing his eyes, he found the effects of today’s Meditation had already peaked. Lin Qi waited for the cooldown of the Door.
