Delivering the Potion to the designated location was not difficult.

Lin Qi was familiar with the route. The only tricky part was shaking his bodyguard, Brother Green Hair.

He couldn’t make any large, conspicuous movements.

Before he reached the designated spot, his Prosthetic Body’s weapon compartment popped open.

His tentacle-like Spiritual Power instantly materialized. It enveloped the Potion he had prepared earlier, hugging the ground as Lin Qi walked normally and silently placing it at a spot he "casually" passed by.

Brother Green Hair, maintaining a hundred-meter distance to protect him from the shadows, didn’t notice anything unusual.

By the time he reached the company entrance, it was only 9:50 AM.

Not long after Lin Qi left, an utterly unremarkable-looking man arrived at the drop point where the two packages, containing a total of 24 Potions, were placed.

The man had no visible Prosthetic Bodies and was even wearing a conspicuous green work uniform. The uniform read: "Eastern Logistics Group · We Deliver Anywhere."

"M-level Potions? They hired our company to deliver these? Is this client nuts?"

After collecting the items, the man took out what looked like an ancient communication device from his pocket. He took a photo, packaged the items, and sealed them.

His entire process was done without any attempt at concealment.

People passed by from time to time.

But strangely, not a single person looked in the man’s direction during the entire process, as if he didn’t even exist.

He placed the two packages into a green box, slung it over his back, and walked toward an area covered by surveillance systems.

It was as if he couldn’t care less about being captured by the cameras.

However, anyone watching from the Si Clan’s surveillance backend would have discovered that even though the man brazenly walked through the monitored area, his figure never appeared on screen.

It was almost identical to what happened when Lin Qi passed by the cameras.

The footage had been altered, camouflaged almost perfectly.

"What a coincidence."

Liu Xuan appeared as usual, with Liu Li following behind her.

"It really is."

Lin Qi had no idea how many times he had given that response. It felt like the eight hundredth time.

Just like always, it was merely a "coincidental" encounter with no further conversation.

They just exchanged greetings before entering their respective elevators.

The two sisters spoke inside their elevator.

"Sis, something’s not right with him. I think he’s been replaced! He has to be a fake Lin Qi! I suggest we investigate whether the real Lin Qi was taken out by a Mercenary and replaced by an imposter!" Liu Li said with a grave expression.

"Why do you say that?" Liu Xuan asked calmly.

"He came to work early again! It’s only nine fifty-two! He’s a full eight minutes early and didn’t even wait until the last second!" Liu Li had latched onto the key point. If one were to investigate along her line of reasoning, they might just uncover quite a few of Lin Qi’s anomalies.

"Don’t overthink it. That’s him, that’s Lin Qi," Liu Xuan said with absolute certainty.

"Why?" Liu Li was puzzled.

"Because I never get the wrong person."

Through the barrier of the elevator, Liu Xuan gazed forward.

Precisely in the direction where Lin Qi was.

If Lin Qi had used his Spiritual Vision at that moment, he would have met Liu Xuan’s gaze in a strange encounter.

It might have been a pleasant surprise, or it might have been a nasty shock.

The elevator doors slowly opened, and Lin Qi arrived at the Pharmaceutical Department.

When it came to L-Class Potions, Lin Qi was still in the knowledge-accumulation phase and had not yet begun hands-on experiments.

Faced with Pharmacy, a discipline of immense future importance, Lin Qi had to master every detail so he could perfectly replicate it in the Doomsday World.

The time spent "shamelessly learning" always passed quickly. Lin Qi found it very fulfilling; the two L-level Researchers found it excruciating.

In the blink of an eye, it was time to get off work.

After another "coincidental encounter," Lin Qi took a public rail vehicle back to his apartment.

He went into the bathroom and took out his wristband.

As soon as he did, Lin Qi saw a message King Arthur had sent during the day.

"Wizard, do you know what’s been happening in Greenfield City today? The gang members are acting like they’re crazy, they’ve been on the move all day. I’m running out of places to hide."

"Have you found the entrance to the Iron Curtain Void? It’s urgent. I need a new hiding spot."

’The gangs are on the move? Why? Nothing major should have happened in Greenfield City today.’

Lin Qi replied to King Arthur: "Haven’t found the void entrance yet, but I have some leads. Before I continue searching, I need to ask you for some intel."

Lin Qi organized his thoughts and typed: "I’ve found something strange about the underground pipe system in Greenfield City. There are traces of heavy human activity, and the pipes lead to some Prosthetic Clinics. I suspect it’s related to the city’s gangs."

"Your assessment is correct. Many of Greenfield City’s gangs are based in the underground pipes. The entire system is extremely complex."

King Arthur confirmed Lin Qi’s judgment and offered new information: "There’s been a major shift among Greenfield City’s gangs recently. It seems some mysterious entity has consolidated all the gangs."

"After the consolidation, the number of people active in the underground pipes shot up again. At first, I thought they were all looking for me, which had me scrambling for a long time."

Lin Qi didn’t reply right away, lost in thought.

The underground pipe system was extremely important to the Si Clan.

Logically, no major corporation in charge of a city would allow gang members to run rampant in its underground pipe system.

Lin Qi clearly remembered that the first explosion, back when the Mercenary was probing his identity, had originated from the underground pipes.

’The gangs are connected to the Si Clan, and their recent unusual activity was most likely ordered by the Si Clan.’

He pondered for a long time but still couldn’t find an answer.

Lin Qi switched to a more pressing question: "I suspect the route into the void is in the underground pipes. I’ll continue investigating tomorrow. Have you heard any news about Si Ying? Are any Mercenary Corps preparing to make a move?"
