Bringing Prosthetic Body technology to the Doomsday World was a measure Lin Qi was forced to take.

The rate at which the Zombies and monsters were growing stronger was just absurd. If they didn’t take this shortcut with Prosthetic Bodies, Lin Qi felt the Mo University Camp was doomed.

It wasn’t just the Mo University Camp; most camps were doomed sooner or later.

After assigning the task to Wang Ziru, Lin Qi waved his hand, signaling for him to get started.

Lin Qi himself went to the restroom, removed the Exoskeleton to clean himself up, and then returned to the conference room.

He changed into his clothes from the Cyber World and waited for the Door’s cooldown to end.

Early in the morning, Lin Qi woke up in his room in the Cyber World.

His alarm told Lin Qi it was time to get ready and head out. Otherwise, he wouldn’t just be cutting it close; he’d be genuinely late.

When Lin Qi stepped out of his room, things were just as they always were: Liu Xuan had already left long ago.

He wasn’t sure exactly how early she left, but regardless, Lin Qi could always count on seeing Liu Xuan on the top floor of the company at 9:59 AM sharp.

Today, naturally, was no exception.

After parking his flying vehicle, he ran into Liu Xuan. They nodded and exchanged greetings.

After that, without any further conversation, they took separate elevators to their respective work areas.

As Lin Qi entered the H4-401 Large-Scale Integrated Proving Ground, he drew the attention of many colleagues, just as he always did.

Many of them started griping to each other over comms.

"Man, I’m jealous of the guy with connections. He gets to clock in at the last second every single day."

"I don’t get it. With connections like that, why bother coming to suffer in a lab?"

Despite their griping, no one was foolish enough to say any of this to Lin Qi’s face.

In the Cyber World, someone with connections could genuinely decide whether an ordinary person lived or died. No one was reckless enough to test that.

As for Wei Wutao, the department supervisor, he came over to exchange a few words with Lin Qi as part of his daily routine.

Before long, Ning Hao, the lead from Ninghang Technology on the joint project, entered the lab.

The moment he saw Ning Hao, Lin Qi actually felt a little nervous.

Ning Hao was a stickler for punctuality, and having his rhythm disrupted two days in a row had left him deeply annoyed.

Many of the researchers instinctively glanced toward Lin Qi.

If they weren’t mistaken, Lin Qi was likely the one using one of those elevators.

Ning Hao raised an eyebrow, following their gazes.

Wei Wutao immediately jumped in to smooth things over. "I’ll be sure to give feedback to the chairman today about increasing the number of company-exclusive elevators."

As he spoke, Wei Wutao began to lead Ning Hao away.

Ning Hao was no fool; he understood instantly.

’So it was him, the one with connections. That’s who Wei Wutao was waiting for when he submitted the personnel list.’

Shaking his head, Ning Hao made no comment.

Every company had people with connections.

Until he was certain just how high up those connections went, even Ning Hao couldn’t afford to rashly offend him.

Allowing Wei Wutao to lead him away, Ning Hao took out a device from Ninghang Technology, connected it to the United Pharmaceutical terminal, and announced the start of the day’s work.

Just like the previous two days, Lin Qi maintained his work rhythm, contributing to the main project while also using the available resources to improve his own skills in Prosthetic Engineering.

The A-level Researchers in the lab were all aware of Lin Qi’s status as "the guy with connections," so they answered every question he asked. Many of them even found him a bit too approachable, completely lacking the arrogance typical of a nepotism hire.

Lin Qi needed their knowledge, and they wanted to get on good terms with him.

On that basis, the researchers’ opinion of Lin Qi improved significantly.

If Dong Wenlong had seen this, he would have had to rub his eyes in disbelief.

Dong Wenlong would never have guessed, not in a million years, that Lin Qi’s approach to learning Pharmacy and Prosthetic Engineering were completely different.

He glanced at Wei Wutao, probing for information about Lin Qi’s background.

Wei Wutao had no intention of keeping it a secret; after all, the man himself wasn’t trying to hide anything.

Anyone in the company who was paying attention could have noticed Lin Qi and Liu Xuan’s daily "chance encounter" routine; it was just that very few people had the idle curiosity to do so.

"Leader Ning, you shouldn’t underestimate Researcher Lin Qi. Not only is his Talent astonishing, but his skills in both Pharmacy and Prosthetic Engineering are masterful. Beyond that, if nothing unexpected happens, he’ll likely become an official member of the Liu Clan and our United Pharmaceutical chairman’s..."

He didn’t finish the sentence, letting Ning Hao fill in the blank himself.
