Knotting His Rejected Breeder

RAMON’S POV

I was in my room after ordering that Sonia be brought to a room reserved for her, when my door pushed open, and my beta, Blane stepped in.

"Alpha," he nudged his head in salutation, and hurried beside me. "I’ve got news from the silverpaw pack."

I rose to my feet at once, my eyes bulging in anticipation.

"Are they honouring our request? What is it going to be?" I asked.

"They’re going to come. Problem is, they did not submit a list of their entourage. I’m not exactly sure who is coming."

"That doesn’t matter to me. I don’t care if it’s just one person that comes. Be it Ferins or not, it really doesn’t matter. The only thing that matters is that they see for themselves what I’ve done and will continuously do to their daughter if they don’t do the necessary,"

I recited these words like they were a poem permanently stored at the tip of my tongue, always ready to roll out.

"And what’s the necessary?" Blane questioned me.

I turned to him, and saw the curious sparkle in his eyes.

"They give up the war, and give me Alpha Ferins’ head."

"You think that’s ever going to happen?"

"Let my new wolves be fully trained. After that, we’ll see them fall even more than they already are."

Blane nodded. I could tell there was something else he wanted to say. It was wise if he held back because he knew what he had to say would upset me.

I wasn’t exactly in the mood to hear contrary opinions. If it wasn’t going to go my way today, then let it burn in silence.

"Everyone’s working round the clock," he finally said. "Sonia has also been fetched. What do you want to do to her?"

I heard a hint of concern in his tone, and frowned.

"What business is that of yours?" I wriggled my nose in confusion.

"Nothing, alpha. I just wanted to know if you need me to help you with he—"

"If you love your tongue, you won’t complete that word."

He hastily bowed, and turned on his heel.

"Blane?" I called just before he could step out of the room.

He turned to me, and I could still see the loyalty in his eyes. I couldn’t deny how worried I was.

In my haste to ensure my hatred was fully communicated to Ferins and his entire pack, I had made an impulsive decision. My beta had tasted my mate first.

If eventually he developed feelings for her, seeing he hadn’t gotten his mate yet, it would be partly my fault.

No, I was just overthinking things. Blane was fully aware they were boundaries one just didn’t cross. If there was anyone I needed to be wary of, it was Sonia herself .

From everything her supposed best friend, Freya, told me, she was supposed to be unravelling already.

She was supposed to throw herself at my beta, or anyone that could help her escape.

She had the charms, and beauty to make any wolf fall on their knees and bow to her. Why then wasn’t she using her body like her friend alluded to?

"Alpha?" Blane called my attention to the present.

I had long forgotten what I had to tell him.

"Don’t worry about it."

He bowed once more, and left the room.

As I stood alone at the foot of my bed, I thought of what to do with Sonia. She had to look every bit of the miserable part. Part of the reason I searched for her this morning when I felt her, was to ensure she knew it wasn’t going to be a beautiful day for her.

Granted, she almost made me forget why I was within her in the first place. Thankfully, my senses functioned at the right time.

"No," I muttered between breaths, shaking my head.

There was no point sitting idly. I needed to ensure everything ran smoothly today. And by everything, I meant the total degradation of Sonia and alpha Ferins.

Dusting my heel, I walked out of the room, and went in search of the room I had ordered for Sonia to be kept.

My hallway came into view, and so did a furious looking alpha Daisy.

"Hey, I thought you said you were going to rest a little in your room. Why are you out and about?" My curiosity led me to ask, and I instantly regretted it when she snapped at me.

"Have you lost your mind, Ramon!" Her voice was pitchy and squeaky.

It made me double back, as I stared curiously at her. "What did I do to warrant such verbal attack?" I quizzed, caught between amusement and puzzlement.

"What have you not done? Why are you trying to hurt that girl? What did she do wrong to you?!" She stomped her foot on the ground.

One of my warriors passing by stopped, and bowed to us. He waited for me to lift my hand before he continued walking.

We stood in silence for a while, save for the warriors hungry foot. When it had faded out of hearing, I responded to her again.

"I told you not to bother yourself with my affairs when it comes to Sonia."

"And we had a bloody deal!" She retorted loudly.

"What deal?"

It wasn’t a question meant to enrage her. I really could not remember the deal we made.

"Ramon, think for once! She’s a healer just like her mother was. Maybe even stronger. She’s an asset you don’t want to miss out on. Where’s the smart man I used to know?" She hissed.

"You don’t know she’s a healer. It’s just based on speculation. Anything could have healed Tyler."

"Damn, you’re hopeless! When did you become such a pessimist?"

"Forgive me for not buying into your delusion. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to make sure my plans for today run smoothly." I walked past her, ignoring her outbursts.

"Leave that girl alone Ramon. Don’t make me have to step in!" She warned behind my back.

"Do whatever you want, Daisy!" I said to get hearing as I disappeared out of her sight.
