Knotting His Rejected Breeder

RAMON’S POV

I watched Sonia take her seat before returning to mine. When I sat in-between Daisy, and Lorena, I swiftly turned my gaze to Daisy.

"Are you happy now?" I questioned under my breath.

She pretended not to hear me but I could tell from her smile that she heard me just fine.

"Daisy?" I called.

"Yes, Alpha Ramon."

"You’re pretending not to hear me. Are you happy now?" I repeated.

She chewed slower, and drank some wine.

After swallowing, she turned to me. "Didn’t you have a good time? I dare you to deny it."

"You’re joking. No, I didn’t have a good time. You forced me into a compromising situation."

"No alpha. I dared you, and you decided to do it. You could have refused."

"And sleep with a maid instead?"

She shrugged, and picked another piece of meat. That was her way of telling me she had ended the conversation.

Daisy knew how to prick one’s skin, but I wasn’t going to give her the satisfaction of seeing me annoyed. Instead, I turned towards the direction of Sonia.

She was eating now. When I watched her prior to the dance, she was playing with her plate. Her thoughts, definitely occupied.

Although she wasn’t eating as heartily as every other person in the room, she still ate by picking her food piece by piece.

I was intrigued, watching her eat. Memories of her hands movement all over my body on the dance floor, resurfaced.

Curiosity had probably gotten a hold of her.

My eyes followed her hand as it went to her mouth. I would love to put something else in them. I wondered if she would be able to take it.

My wolf began to prance around, hungrily. It wasn’t hungry for the abundance of the food on the table, but the forbidden fruit seated across the room.

His mate. He wanted her, and because I held back, he punished me by clawing at my heart, until I was forced to hiss out loud.

"What is it, my alpha?" I heard Lorena’s voice in my ears.

"Nothing," I said, my voice coming out heavier than I anticipated.

I wasn’t remorseful. She was becoming a pain in the ass.

"Are you sure?" She leaned into my ears.

I felt her hand grab my thighs, slowly, she began to stroke on.

This was going towards a direction I didn’t appreciate. Any other day, we would be out of the room in a heartbeat. But tonight was different.

Tonight, something profound happened. I couldn’t wrap my thoughts around it yet, but something had certainly happened.

"Do you know why I delayed coming?" She whispered.

My wolf revolted. He knew whose touch he wanted, and it wasn’t hers.

"Why?" I asked reluctantly.

"Well first and foremost, because I prepared the dungeon for us. When we’re done here, you can take me there, and—" she bit my lips.

I closed my eyes and swallowed hard. She was doing everything in her power to get me to fold. It was working, not because she was the one doing it, but because my wolf had begun to settle for a substitute in the face of the fact I wasn’t going to give him what he wanted.

"I know you love when we go to the dungeon," she continued, her hands inching closer to my crotch. "You get to treat me like the animal that I am. Take my body the way you would take slaves. I know you want me to surrender to your touch, and your kisses."

Her hands were even closer now. I was starting to think that there was no escape. I couldn’t possibly push her away. I may as well just surrender to her touch.

Not until I felt the intensity of another gaze on me. I jerked, and my eyes opened.

She was staring at me, with fire in her gaze. It wasn’t angry fire either, it was that damn curiosity.

I could tell she wanted to know what had me so undid. Could I tell her? Could I risk all my plans just so I could teach her the ways of the world? And if I did, what was the guarantee I wouldn’t lose my head?

"Stop it?" I said, suddenly irritated by Lorena’s touch.

I was probably going to give in to her when we were alone, but not now. Not with those eyes watching from across the room.

"But–"

I raised my hand, and she quietly withdrew from me.

"Isn’t it trouble when he starts to refuse your touch?" I heard Daisy ask.

At least it wasn’t just my skin she was trying to get under. Unfortunately for Lorena, she knew her place. Any retort could put her life in danger, and I wasn’t particularly interested in saving her.

The tension in the room was getting too thick for my liking. I was about to rise to my feet when the door opened, and Blane stepped in.

From the corner of my eyes, I saw Sonia flinch.

She was scared of him. It was all my fault that she was terrified of him. I let my beta take my mate.

I couldn’t explain why I was having such disturbing sober reflections. Since when did I start questioning my decisions, and orders?

It couldn’t have taken just a dance to confuse me this way, and make me second guess my motives.

"Alpha?" Blane stopped in front of me.

I knew I had to rectify whatever madness or spell she had cast on me. If I didn’t do it as soon as possible, I would remain in a state of confusion.

"Take control of the party, I’m leaving," I rose to my feet.

Her curious stare returned to me again, but this time, I shunned it in my heart. Turning to Lorena, I stretched out my hand. "Let’s go."

Her face lit up, but Daisy frowned.

"Remember our deal, Ramon," she said.

"I won’t take long," I replied, and I wasn’t bluffing.
