Knotting His Rejected Breeder

RAMON’S POV

By all accounts, it was a good kiss. The best I’ve ever had. But it wasn’t supposed to happen. I wasn’t supposed to let my guard down.

Naturally, I craved to pull her closer and deepen the kiss. I just couldn’t.

With a quick reflex, I pushed her away from me, and she fell to the ground.

I heard Lorena cackle out loud, whilst Sonia looked up with hurt in her eyes.

"How dare you!" I growled.

I needed her to not be delusional. Just because we danced together didn’t mean we were best of friends now, or even lovers.

She was still my rejected mate in my heart, even if it was physically impossible.

"Wh-y–?" Her voice broke, as she stared at me with tears in her eyes.

"Why?!" I continued, drawing closer to her.

"Because you’ve crossed your boundaries!" I lowered my body to the ground so I was staring at her.

"It– it wasn’t inten-tional," she stuttered.

"I don’t care. The next time you shove that disgusting tongue of yours down my throat again, I’ll make sure to cut it out."

I rose to my feet, and swiftly turned around. My feet were heavy and fast, as they strode out of her presence.

I couldn’t get to my abode faster. I had to leave before my conscience got the best of me.

My car came into view, and I stepped into it. I drove straight to my quarters, got out, and walked past the door.

Ignoring the greetings and salutations from the wolfs around, I made my way to my room and slammed the door shut behind me.

I didn’t drop to my bed, but instead, began to pace back and forth.

She shouldn’t have kissed me. It had taken every ounce of control in me to push her away. The only pushing I wanted to do was her body against a wall while I loved her with my tongue.

My wolf was on fire. It wanted a rematch. To return to her, and finish what she had started.

But I couldn’t. I just couldn’t, and it drove me to delirium.

"What?!" I growled when a knock suddenly sounded on my door.

"It’s me, alpha," Blane said as he opened the door. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎

He stepped into the room just as I turned my body around. "What do you want?"

"A message from the elders of the pack."

I rolled my eyes, already knowing it was only a matter of time before they showed up with a message.

The second they heard about our pack hosting the festival of alphas, it was bound to be a rush of opinions.

"What do they want? You would think they would be occupied with all the free time they have. Should have known they would be occupied with boredom."

"They want an audience with you. Some are of the opinion that we shouldn’t be hosting the festival of alphas."

"And who exactly are they to tell me what to do, or what not to do? Did I ask for their opinions? Do I look like I care what anyone thinks? If I want to host the festival of alphas, I will host the festival of alphas!"

My breathing came out hard when I was done speaking. I felt my muscles tense up. It was bad enough what I had just experienced with Sonia. Now I also had to deal with a group of old wolves who like to butt into issues that have absolutely nothing to do with them.

"Do I tell them you don’t want to speak to them?" He asked after a moment of silence.

I looked up, and shook my head. If I did that, they would have a reason to grumble and make life difficult for the entire pack. The festival was going to happen, regardless of their opinions. But an audience with them wouldn’t hurt anyone.

"No. Tell them I’ll see them. But it will have to be later in the day. I have other plans. How is the ground looking? Should we skip it and have the festival in the hall?"

"No way! The ground is more sacred and would give us a better representation than the halll would. I say we stick with the ground. It’s currently being cleansed."

"Good. Costumes? Food? Is there anything that hasn’t been looked at yet?"

"Everyone’s at the top of their game. We’re doing everything possible to ensure that it all turns out right."

"That’s good to know," I nodded, pleased with everything I had heard this far. "Do you think I’ll get a complete list of alphas and their entourage coming?"

"That should be available this evening. Either before or after your scheduled inspection."

"Blane," I walked over to him and placed a hand on his shoulders. "I’m putting a lot of responsibilities on you because I think it’s something you can handle. Don’t fail me.

Don’t make me regret my decision."

"You know you can count on me. I could never fail you."

"Your word better be your bond."

"And you?" He asked much to my surprise.

"And me?" I lifted a curious brow.

"What made you so tense?"

I sighed. "Who else?" I walked over to my table, and picked up a bottle of whiskey that I had spent the night there.

After returning from ensuring Sonia had arrived safely at Daisy’s pack, I decided to indulge a little, because my treacherous mind was too occupied with thoughts of us dancing together. Thankfully, it was still there when I needed it.

"You want to keep punishing her? At what point does it become you punishing yourself? She’s still your ma–"

"If you love your life, please don’t complete that word."

He nodded, and visibly swallowed. "She’s not the enemy," he said, and turned around.

"Then who is?" My mind questioned, as I opened the bottle, and brought it to my lips.

"Ferins. But she is Ferins daughter. Every member of his family is an enemy," I also responded in my head. In one gulp, I halved the already half bottle of whiskey. And as it burned a hole in my heart, j squeezed my face, knowing I very much deserved that pain.
