Alpha Ferins stood in the center of his bedroom, his hand, tightly gripping a picture frame.
He raised the frame to his face , and studied it like a religion.
He knew every single of that image, even more than he knew himself.
How could he not? When it was a picture of the woman he would forever love.
She had died in the most terrible way. Snatched away from him by the cold hands of death. In a gruesome and disturbing way. Life had happened, and happened in the worst of times.
His baby girl looked like her. When she began to grow up, and the similarities presented itself, he knew he would forever cherish her.
Just like the way he had adored her mother, he promised to shower her with love and affection. And he had done that.
He walked towards his personal drawer, and placed the frame carefully in it.
A thought was forming in his head. A thought he couldn’t explore with her face staring at him. It wouldn’t be fair for her to see his plans.
As he stepped away, he allowed his brain to spring up the thought..
There was no doubt he had loved his wife, mate and luna above every other person. That love had been transferred to his only daughter.
But now, he was caught in a predicament. A predicament that tested both the love and hate he had to offer.
For as much as he loved his daughter, he hated Ramon in the same measure.
To give up on his daughter just to see Ramon suffer was a thought most tempting.
But every time he thought of his baby girl, and her ordeals in the hands of that monster, his heart broke.
He had dared to use her brutally in front of him. He couldn’t watch, and had walked away, leaving her brothers to recount the horrible tales to him.
He considered himself a fair man in judgment. He visited the sins of his wolves with a clear conscience, and a fair hand. The majority would consider him ruthless, and he didn’t have a problem with that. As long as no one called him unfair.
The only one he had ever treated differently, was his wife, and now his daughter.
But the one thing that reminded him the most of the mate he just could never let go was his Sonia.
His hand folded into a strong fist as his eyes darkened.
He hated Ramon with a stinging passion. Just the same way he had hated his father before him.
It didn’t take this long to defeat his father in battle. If it wasn’t for the intervention of some other packs, bloodmoon would have been his for the taking.
They say the weed you don’t cut down in time would grow to be a nuisance. If he had known about the existence of Ramon on time, he would never have grown to the point of taking over the pack.
Now the little boy who’s father he easily ended was out to get him. He had also shown his seriousness in this pursuit, by holding on to his most beloved. His Sonia. The daughter of his wife as he referred to her, because of how similar they looked.
He could easily bend the knee, and his daughter would be returned to him. But to bend the knee to Ramon, was like worshiping a starving dog. He would sooner die than allow any of those happen.
There had to be a different but more effective way to tame the beast. Who better to do it, than the biggest tamer out of the seven packs?
He would do it himself, and once again, emerge victorious over the bloodmoon pack.
However, it would take quite a lot to be able to succeed over a clever serpent like Ramon was.
He closed his eyes, and began to beckon on his seven sons.
They were visibly more angry than he was. His first, Cade had wanted nothing more than to storm the bloodmoon and drag his sister out of Ramon’s. It had taken having to use his powers as the alpha to stop something so irrational.
There were better ways to kill a snake. Especially if you wanted it to suffer first..
The door opened, and Cade was the first to step in.
His eyes were red like the moon, and he had a light that followed him about. Sonia may be his favorite child because of the obvious, but Cade was the one he was most proud of.
"Alpha." He bowed, before continuing forward.
The child before Sonia arrived next. Jed. His eyes were a bright shade of silver, and there was not a man that could see better than him.
His vision was what made him stand out amongst the crowd. A vision that was an asset to them when it came to battles.
"I wish I knew how to do this summoning thing. Would have carved out a pack of my own already," he said arrogantly, as he stepped into the room.
Cade was before him in no time. "Bow," he simply said, without having to raise his voice.
Jed flinched. He may be the one with the best vision, but Cade was simply scary. He quickly turned to his father, the alpha, and bowed.
Ferins shook his head, as his second, third and fourth sons arrived at the same time.
They were triplets, and represented the constellations. Out of the bunch, they were strangely the most peaceful and level headed.
At least, Craig, and Castiel were. They never spoke too much, except spoken to. Now Caleb, the third boy, was almost like his brother Jed. They shared similar traits.
They bowed together as they entered. "Father, our alpha," they said in unison.
They stood aside, as they waited for the last two to turn up.
"Trust Seth to be fashionably late," Jed whispered, just before the fifth boy entered the room.
He was the most beautiful. The one that looked like their mothers mother the most. If you didn’t look very closely, you would assume he was a woman.
He was the calmest of the bunch. Always smiling. Always hoping for the best out of the most difficult situation. His weakness used to annoy Ferins, but these days, he appreciated the way he saw things. It was a different perspective, and very much welcomed.
"Alpha," he bowed. "Jed, nice to know you were waiting for me," he said, and smiled.
"Pretty bastard," Jed whispered, causing Caleb to laugh.
They all went silent when Wolf’s footsteps which sounded like a thud grew closer. He was called Wolf because he best fit the description of what they were. Huge, almost like a giant.
He never smiled. For him, there was nothing to smile about. He had supported Cade in his attempt to go into bloodmoon.
Continuously hearing about the boy called Ramon was already grating his nerves. Now that he had kidnapped his only sister, he had strong reason to want him out.
"Alpha." His voice sounded like thunder, as he entered the room and shut the door behind him.
"You’re all here," Alpha Ferins cleared his throat. "I’m glad. Now we can talk about how to get back your sister."
