Knotting His Rejected Breeder

SONIA’S POV

I was a little bit confused. No, I was really very confused.

The last thing I remembered was walking through a valley of perdition. It had been dry and patchy, filled with the most hideous creeping creatures slithering across the cracked ground. Their eyes glowed with malice as they watched me.

But I noticed as I walked that a beautiful rainbow hovered over me the entire time. Rainbows usually signified promises, but there wasn’t any end to the endless walk. I just thought it was there for decoration. Not until suddenly the sky darkened, and my eyes opened to see Ramon standing in front of me.

"Ramon?" I called out in disbelief.

Perhaps because the only other creatures I had encountered in my walk were those hideous creeping things. He looked at me with such raw relief. As if he hadn’t seen me in a long time and was glad to see me again.

No, I was being delusional again. Doing that thing where I clung to false hope only to be disappointed.

But when he drew closer to me, bent to his knees, and drew me into his body, I was completely stunned.

"You’re awake. You’re fine. You didn’t die," he whispered, further confusing me.

"I didn’t die?" I muttered, my voice weak.

"Yes, you didn’t die."

He hugged me until he began to suffocate me.

"Ramon." I pushed gently against his chest.

He must have gotten the message. He picked me up from the ground and carried me in his arms into the house. He placed me carefully on the bed, and his hand reached out to my face.

"How do you feel?" he asked, stroking my forehead with surprising tenderness.

"Like I had a really bad fall, and then a really long wa—"

My voice faded when I felt something off. I looked down and gasped. Grabbing the covers on the bed, I quickly brought them up to my body.

"Why am I naked?!" I asked in alarm, my cheeks burning.

"I should be asking you that, Sonia. How could you? Moon of all people? When all he wanted was to hurt you? How could you betray our bond that carelessly?"

I looked at him with a blank expression on my face. I had absolutely no idea what he was talking about.

Last thing I remembered was laying on his bed.

"Wait, I was in your bed. What happened?"

"What?!"

He seemed shocked. His eyes widened, and bulged with disbelief.

"Yeah. Last thing I remember was laying on your bed. You left with Blane and told me to stay put."

He scoffed. "You’re lying."

"Stop saying that!" I screamed, but a crippling headache racked through my head, causing me to fall back onto the bed.

"Ouch!" I held on to my head, wondering why it hurt so badly.

"That bastard! I’ll kill him with my bare hands when I get him," I heard Ramon say.

"Who? Who are you going to kill?" I asked in alarm, my voice trembling.

"Moon, of course."

"Moon? Moo— Moon! What did he do? He’s so sweet. No, you can’t kill him."

"You’d defend him, seeing you’ve taken him as a lover. But if you think I’d sit here and allow him to get away with hurting you, then you may as well die now for real."

That hurt me. It hurt me deeply because it confirmed everything I already knew. Only Ramon’s impulses mattered. Be it putting me on trial, accusing me of sleeping with someone, or disregarding my feelings. Just his impulses.

"Fine, do whatever you want to do. I’m the whore, the liar, and everything bad. Leave me alone so I can rest," I said and turned to the other side of the bed.

I very much expected to hear the sound of the door opening and closing, but when I didn’t hear any movement, I grew curious.

I turned, and saw him staring at me, without any sign of budging.

"You’re not leaving?" I asked.

"You really don’t remember anything after I left with Blane?" he asked in a sober voice.

"What does my answer matter? You’ll never believe me anyway."

"I’m serious, Sonia. Do you not remember anything?"

"I told you before," I said, eyeing him cautiously. He was suddenly so serious, and it terrified me. "I don’t remember much after you asked me to stay back."

"Do you think you slept with Moon? I mean, even if you don’t remember much, you can remember your feelings for him before?"

"I met him for the first time that night at the buffet ground. I met him at the trial too. He was friendly and funny, but that’s about it. I don’t have any special feelings for him."

"You don’t?" he asked again, as if he didn’t just hear me say it.

I sighed because this was unlike him. Highly unlike him to ask for reassurance. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎

"No, I don’t. How could I? You’re my mate. It’s not possible to have feelings for another."

"Says who? It happens." He shrugged.

"Yeah, you with Lorena, but that’s because she was yours before I came into the picture. I expect there’ll be some lingering feelings still."

He stared at me like I had lost my mind, and to further confuse me, chuckled mockingly.

"What are you laughing for?"

"I wasn’t talking about myself, Sonia. Lorena is great in bed, that’s all. There’s no special feelings there."

My face fell, even though I was trying to put up an unconcerned front.

"I’m glad you have all your desires with her."

He laughed, and much to my surprise, pulled closer to me.

"No, you’re not. This time, you’re really lying," he said.

My face grew red, having been caught.

"But that’s not what matters the most," he continued.

"What does?" I asked, struggling to keep my face down.

I knew if I raised it, he’d be able to see my rose-tinted cheeks.

"We need to get back your memory, so you can remember what happened to you."

"Does it matter? I’m fine, right?"

He lifted my chin and brought my face forward, so I was looking directly into his eyes.

"It matters a lot, Sonia. Because when you point out the person that hurt you, I want to see their face when they realise I’ll be killing them with my bare hands. Do you understand me?"

And like the good girl I was, I nodded.
