Healers Shouldn't be this Powerful

"Well let’s not think about that for now, and let the streak of warriors keep going" This time the doctor made sure his voice was loud enough for everyone in the class to hear him. Upon hearing him, the students got excited.

"Now class, it’s important for me to say this before we start. Awakening is a very important step in your life, it can open doors that were never there before. But let’s not forget, not all are fortunate to break into this world.

To awaken is to bring forth what already exists within you, We are merely awakening those genes. But let’s take a moment and not deceive ourselves. Only 1 in 10 people have a chance to awaken.

In this class one or three of you might awaken, or it might be that none of you does, but don;t take that to heart, to awaken is merely to gain another limb. Without it, you could still survive, and make something of yourself in the world"

The Doctor made sure everyone heard each word he spoke and understood it to the letter so as not to hold false hope. He then turned his head and looked at Matilda. "As per our agreement, after this is done, you will leave this class and go join your peers at the awakeners wing?"

When those words fell, the entire class quickly looked at her. "I knew there was something off about her, to think she is already an awakener, what is she doing in the class of normies like us, none of us have awakened yet"

Others made sure to get their opinions in. After what happened this morning Niklaus had already guessed, but to hear it being confirmed by the Doctor. ’Why is she really here?’ he couldn’t help wondering. He then saw her slightly tilt her head as if she was peaking at him.

That slight action had his heart racing like a horse that just finished a lap. Just as he was about to delve deeper in thought. The Doctor started calling names. The mood changed from that of shock into nervousness.

"Abrahim Mellta, come forth" The first student’s name was called, then a young man of well built physique stood up, his long shiny golden hair put in a ponytail. You could feel confidence exuding off him.

Son of a commander and a fierce business woman, his life has been lived in easy mode, especially because he was an only child.

Looking at Abrahim stand up, Niklaus’s eyes darkened, he couldn’t remember any pleasant memory concerning him. He was one of the first to look down on him as soon as he transferred here.

And many follow suit trying to carry favours with someone with extensive connections and strong background. Soon Abrahim made it to the front of the class. "Make sure you hold you hand above the crystal, be sure not to touch it till you feel something, and the moment you do, focus deep within your heart and think of strings coming from there then out your hand"

The Doctor made sure his instructions were clear and was loud enough so that everyone in the class could hear him, Abrahim did as instructed, soon tendrils of light powered by the crystal came from within Abrahim’s palm.

Then the thing Abrahim felt was a tug on his hand that pulled it closer till it was clung to the crystal. Upon contact, he felt an invasive energy make its way into his body. Going through what seemed as though a neurological vein but more energised. This went on till he felt something around his chest just near his heart.

Following that, the crystal’s color changed, from plain white to menacing red. Upon seeing this the Doctor’s eyes also popped out of his head. "It can’t be, it really can’t be. It appears this year we really are blessed.

To think we got a Flamed Emperor, it should be a SS grade class, only fewer than 5 had ever awakened in history, and each person had made a legend unto himself." Doctor Meyers’ voice sang out.

Each word making the student stupified. "Life is really unfair, he already has everything in life, and God still gives him an olive branch " As the student was speaking in a hushed voice. Others showed support.

Niklaus just sat there, When Abrahim saw his stoic face, he couldn’t help but get annoyed. ’A failure will always be a failure even when success slaps him in the face’ Following the doctor called other students.

Unfortunately the enthusiasm from Abrahim didn’t extend to everyone. One after another, the students failed to awaken. Then Niklaus Genesis rung within the classroom, everyone’s attention shifted to him.

He stood just like everyone from before, and went to the awakening crystal. Just like everyone before the Doctor gave instruction. And methodically he did as told. He stood there for a good moment.

The entire class wasn’t even paying attention, they already resigned to the thought that not everyone can awaken even Niklaus fell into that category before he had a chance, and the unresponsive stone confirms that.

"Ok young man, it’s time for someone el..." Just as he was about to show him back to his seat, the crystal started to glow an intense light. As though someone threw a flashbang, the radiance from that light itself changed the temperature of the classroom.

Sitting at the back, Abrahim’s smug face turned ugly, the feet which he propped on the desk quickly fell to the floor. ’No, this shouldn’t be, a worm should always be worm and if it tries to become a butterfly, we should clip the wings and let it get eaten by the ants’

The color of the light changed and turned green, When Abrahim saw this, a smile grew on his face, When Niklaus saw this his heart sank. He was poor and didn’t have friend, how will he be able to clear dungeons and gates?

It seems the world wasn’t done praying pranks on him. When he turned his face to look at his teacher and the doctor, what he saw was sympathy.
