The cells in his body were hyper active, steam coming off him as though he just came out of a hot shower. He could feel his muscles spasming. Literally drunk in energy. Each movement felt effortless.
Standing up he almost jumped off the floor. He felt as light as a feather . Looking at himself, he could see volcanic-like lines of veins field with blood flowing through his body. The lines were getting less and less visible by the moment.
’This is truly bizarre, if I didn’t know what I just did, I’d think I’m possessing someone else’s body. The tension in each tendon is simply crazy. My acceleration just went up exponentially. Not forgetting my reflexes’ Just as he was feeling himself.
The side of his eye caught on to the husk of Grus. There was no indication of its earlier imposing appearance. He stood there for a moment, looking at the once formidable member of a terrifying race.
Then went and looked at the warning screen looming right in front of him. Then out of nowhere an intense feeling took root in his chest. His heart started to beat harder and harder till it was audible. Its beats echoed through the space isolated room.
His body, once full of energy, suddenly planted one knee on the ground. The body feeling heavy as though made of tungsten. ’What’s happening?’ he asked himself. His body no longer listening to its master,
Caging him like a prisoner with no way out. Soon followed a piercing pain in his brain, like a huge, long needle just slid through forcefully. Everything started to feel like a dream, a bad dream.
The walls, light and the remains of Grus suddenly disappeared, leaving him in a space without light nor darkness. His mind could only observe, unable to interact or move. Soon a single spark came.
This spark gave life to space, to darkness, to nothingness. Soon after within that darkness came energy of no law. No life and no limits. Just pure chaos. It fought itself, for dominance against oneself.
Looking at it, it was as though he was peering into deformation and formation interchanging, the cold dark space, no life but himself. Staring into the abyss he felt like a point of insignificance.
He didn’t know when, but something happened, that something caused an explosion of epic propositions. That point of chaos threw everywhere in all directions, then out from that chaos came laws, rules, systems, structures and predictability.
It was only when this happened that Niklaus regained the gift of thought. ’Am I witnessing the creation of life?’
As if to answer his question, he saw a cell, indecencies by anything.
’Wha... what’s going on’ Niklaus’s view changed from an observer to the observed
’Why have I become the cell?’ He started to feel everything that happened through time. As moments passed, he felt each part of himself splitting up from one into two. From two to more. After millions of years, that cell has become an organism, adapting, feeling, growing and evolving
As this was happening Niklaus realised something, as he was leaning and witnessing, some of the earlier knowledge about the creation was being erased. He couldn’t even remember how the universe was created.
But he had the feeling he witnessed it. ’Seems like I’m still weak and lacking. But I still understand the underlying concept.’ As he was thinking he saw something familiar. Grus, the very one he just eliminated.
But what he was witnessing wasn’t the weak man he just killed. This looked more like a God, a Destroyer. A being capable of doing atrocious things at a moment;s notice. ’This can’t be right, no way that is a level 45 being. He’s even too powerful to consider him just above level 100.’ He thought as he witnessed Grus scream and the vibration that resulted took down a mountain whose imposing presence pierced the sky.
He watched as Grus. Punched the ground and an army in the millions got swallowed by a steaming lava like blood art. The most terrifying is when he fractured a continent with an an explosive blood art attack.
’His lifeforce must have been drained to a point that he had fewer years to live’ He contemplated. He saw Grus leading an army of thousands, destroying worlds that were a base for what could be considered Gods.
’What have I gotten myself into, this is not something, I nor anyone in my world could hope to face.’ Now he finally understood why his chest was feeling tight, the fear he was feeling was so deep that he could hardly understand it.
’Evolutions seem to be the only way for me out of this, WIth my new found strength leveling my body shouldn’t be so hard anymore.’ Though he thought this way, he still felt pressured. So much has been placed on his shoulders to carry.
Soon the scene focused solely on Grus. Not his life, but his evolution, how it came to be, how it stacked from one on top of another. ’Though this is really a fascinating way to gain power, the fact that old gene codes still live within his genes mean there’s imperfections also.
And the later genes used those imperfect genes as a foundation, thankfully it was to try to fix those mistakes. But still I believe this species had great potential but it’s own flaw was. It didn’t forget the past’
Soon he returned, his mind on high alert, sweat flowing down his face. Almost immediately the strength he had been robbed had returned. He stood up and looked at Grus’s remains for a moment. "I’m done Crato, you can let me out now" He issued a command,
Instantly a light came and swallowed him whole. Later he reappeared in a room he most recognised. Soon as he landed his presence was felt. His teammates looked at him,
Daxi looked at him instantly. Gladious stood there, looking at his childhood friend, he saw someone he knew but the feeling he gave off wasn’t familiar.. Matilda was standing in the corner, holding a glass like treasure that had strange runes on them.
She never turned nor looked back at his return. "Yooo, why are you standing there mewing, trying to Aura farm or something. You are missing the loot brotha." Gladious finally broke the silence.
Niklaus looked at his friend, a smile revealed on his face. Suddenly a hand came across his shoulder and hung around his neck. Daxi came with her head tilted on the side, her hair shifted away revealing her mesmerising eyes.
"Seems like you hit the biggest jackpot iny mini, But why do you look so low. Did you lose some flow?" She smiled as she asked, her confident smile never leaving her face as usual.
"You could say that, but I’m getting better" he answered. She looked deep in his eyes. Then with a nod she left, continuing her search
