Healers Shouldn't be this Powerful

Chapter 27: Blood Invader

Back at the raid. Niklaus has managed to get himself back together. Once the group got back together. Their bodies started to glow with faint white light

"Seeing as you are prepared to leave. I thought this might meet your fancy" Crato’s disembodied voice spoke. Then light beamed around Niklaus and the team. Instantly teleposing them inside a mysterious room.

The white walls were tall in their standing, giving a baring feeling standing right next to each. Niklaus could feel pressure from a mysterious energy bearing down on him.

Looking ahead, he saw rows stretching a distance of objects inside a glass casing. They stood there in the dry cold room, waiting for their next possessor.

"Welcome to the vault. I can’t show you all of the nation’s wealth. Exposure so such treasures might erase each of you just by being next to one. For now all I can offer is our knowledge and some treasure from magical beasts which could be of some help for you"

Crato said. In the huge room were multiple treasures. Some had residual energies, indicating how powerful they were when they were still alive.

"Crato, do you perhaps have a special case beast? Something with a genome based on its body and not mana?" Niklaus asked curiously. The disembodied voice kept quiet for a moment.

"I do have an interesting beast. This body has been here since the Sacta’s powerful era. Then they travelled to millions of dimensions and planets. Meeting world ending threats, but were still able to come out on top.

I remember a raider team returning with this" A body materialised on an elevated platform that rose right before Niklaus.

It had a crimson red skin, two large horns coming off its head, and pale white hair. A huge muscular body that made it look more like a sculpture of a Greek god. "They called them Daemons. An interesting species. What was most interesting about this race was their method of combat.

They used something called cursed blood techniques. Apparently their blood could turn into anything they wanted, be it weapon, micro cellular explosion, healing and regeneration you name it.

When our researcher got to trying to decipher their genes. They couldn’t find much on their blood manipulation. But what was interesting was genetic make-up. On that one before you alone. It’s as though it had lived billions of years." Crato explained.

When the group heard that, they checked Niklaus’s reaction. They had already guessed some basics of his power and how it could be used. But they also knew what he goes through each time he uses it.

When Nuklaus raised his eyes, to look at the silent room, He realised the room’s attention had shifted on him. "Whaat?" He looked around " I know what you are thinking, that only happens when I heal deep wounds and have to use my talent. For something like this, it should be light work" His words held some confidence. Finally tearing the attention off him.

"Oooowy, this place is goopy, just look at the loot I’m about to leave with. I bet with this knowledge Earth might progress with leaps and bounds, getting closer to this city in terms of technology." Gladious spoke in an excited voice.

"Crato, is it possible to teleport me to an isolated room, as you said this body holds so much genetic information I’m interested in learning it" Niklaus declared. Not long after speaking, his body glowed with light before it disappeared.

Matilda just watched for a moment before she joined the others. "Matilda look at this, I bet this will fetch a pretty penny when we return with it" Daxi spoke, looking at a beast core before her. Just standing in front of it made her feel like she was standing in front of a mountain whose top had pierced the heavens.

In a well lit small room. A boy suddenly materialised into existence. Then a large red body followed soon after. Niklaus looked at the body for a good while. "Crato, the noise coming from this room

Will it reach the area my teammates are at?"

"No, this room is in an isolated space. Whatever goes on around here will not be heard nor seen by no one else."

"Good, this might get painful"

He placed his hand on the Daemons’s chest, his eyes changed and turned green, soon after they turned intense golden light.

Niklaus looked at the genetic make up of the body from the bones into the cells. Everything was placed before him. ’This... this is amazing, this not only has the genetic make up of this species in their infancy

But instead of being erased, the mutation and evolution stacked right on top of the old ones. Serving as a foundation. No wonder they seem to hold billions of years worth of evolution. And the way their body circulates mana is quite fascinating.

Each part of the body does see itself separate from the rest. Looking at it this way, blood serves as much an important role as the eyes lashes, everything about this beast is magical. Nothing about it is neglected or seen as a part of the body’

His interest sounded like that of a child in a candy store, seeing some of the candy for the first time. ’Unfortunated this info is too much for my weak physique as well as my level, I should copy all that I can then leave the rest. Let’s go with blood’

His mind went deeper to understand the blood. But as soon as he touched the base of the blood information something strange happened.

The blood started to move on its own.. As though alive. ’What’s going on’

Just as he was about to let go of the body, the blood pierced the skin of the body. Making its way towards him.

Soon the blood spear pierced his gut then formed a hook to pull him towards the body.

"Cr..." Just as he was about to call for the AI. A slash went for his throat, cutting it clean out. Blood started to flow out. Some of it making its way inside his lungs making it hard for him to breath, drowning in his own blood,

His free hand clutched his throat trying to stop the bleeding but another blade light came. Cutting his hand clean off.
