Healers Shouldn't be this Powerful

All this happened within a second. The light in his eyes slowly started to dim away. He started to feel foreign substances try to invade his body. Wherever it went it made sure to absorb any form of energy it could.

Soon one after another his organs were starting to shut off.

’Finally, finally freedom is mine once more!!’ A voice suddenly shouted out in his mind. ’Oh, you look like a kid, not from that cursed race..’ It spoke once more.

’Who are you?’ Niklaus finally asked.

’Who am I? It’s been so long since someone last asked me that question. Well, Since you are responsible for my return I tell you my name as a partying thanks.

They call me Grus. The grandchild of the prince of Helzard. I am a being whose name shook the hearts of millions, I have fought over countless battles.

His words were full of malice and price. Niklaus felt his own emotions become infected by the deep hatred Grus horned over the hundreds of years he had to hide.

’Wha.. what the hell is going on, how are you doing this?’ Grus shouted, HIs voice exposed panic.

’Stop this at once and surrender to your fate. I’ll have you know, once you erase my consciousness, you will be branded the enemy of my race, you shall be hunted till your death, your family, friends and anyone who ever smiled at you will be killed!’ Grus spoke at the top of his lungs, but the arrogance he had a moment ago got replaced by fear.

’I’ll take my chances’ Niklaus declared, with that his body started to glow as well. The blood invading his body started to look for an exit. But the struggle was met with a stronger form of power.

’Since you came, why not stay and enjoy the hospitality’ Niklaus barked, the hand that was stuck on the Daemon’s chest started to liquify and slid right into the beast’s body.

’Lastly, thank you for talking too much, it gave me the much needed time to decipher your DNA, I was planning to only copy. But seeing that you are still alive, killing you should give me the much needed levels to absorb your body onto my mine’ His voice aphetic, monotone without any shred of humanity in it.

Listening to him speak, Grus got agitated.’ Stop, stop. Are you crazy, you think I’m joking, are you really willing to risk the lives of the innocent?’ He started to plead. Making thread, looking for ways he could perhaps get Niklaus to react and stop.

’Shut it, as I said, you speak too much’ Soon after his blood veins started to glow crimson. Roots like red glowing lines all over his body, steam coming off him. Soon as this begun. An earpieceing scream came out of his mouth.

The body of the daemon started to shrink in size, with lines of energy clearly indicating the body being absorbed.

Now that his body has leveled up, the body of the daemon started to shrink at a visible rate.

The pain he felt quickly shot up. The Mind of Steel was active but the pain tolerance was being passed by intensity of the situation. Billions of years worth of genetic make being absorbed into his body was no joke and he could feel it all happening.

The moment it evolved, Niklaus felt a substantial difference. The underlying pain was still there, but his mana veins started to quiet down, making it bearable for him. At least in comparison to the pain he felt before.

His body bulked up in size, steaming up, the sweat on his clothing evaporating as soon as it drenched his outfit. As soon as the body of the daemon became an empty shell. Niklaus’s body started to shrink in size.

The muscles underneath his skin got more robust and firm, holding an explosive energy capable of punching a boulder into pebbles.

It didn’t take long for him to stop squirming and the pain in his body slowly left him. Soon the room where an intense battle took place welcomed silence once more.

Niklaus made sure to sit upright. Clatching his fist, trying to feel the increase in power he had just gained.
