Healers Shouldn't be this Powerful

Next moment it disappeared from where it was, rushing straight to Daxi, leaving behind afterimages in its path. A smile formed on Daxi’s face. Her covered eyes locked the Speed like a Predator waiting for its prey to fall right into its trap.

"Gotcha!" With a slash, a headless body suddenly started to trample around, smashing rocks along the way till it came to a stop. "Woah, I just went up a level, where that healer of ours, I hope he is ok, his weak physique might be broken" Daxi spoke looking at where Niklaus was thrown.

"Don’t worry about him, he’s ok" Matilda said in an unworried voice. Not long, a young man came out from where he was sent flying. His clothing looking a mess. "Woah, you are right, did he heal himself." Daxi said with a slight surprise, switching from Nicklaus to Matilda.

They didn’t even check on Gladious, his combat class had a strong physique . Other than Niklaus everyone was already high level. They had long awakened and already went to some dungeon runs for training.

They couldn’t start raiding, their group was down, one person, whom Matilda insisted they should wait till she came with someone she had her eye on.

Daxi wasn’t happy about this decision but she respected Matilda enough to wait, Gladious was informed but still he didn’t understand why Matilda was so adamant on choosing his childhood friend who wasn’t even an awakened then.

But the family she came from was known for having a strange trait so he didn’t question anything. "Niklaus" Matilda suddenly called his name. When he looked, she pointed at the headless body of the fallen beast.

"Can you check that for me?" Her voice was flat, it was more like a command than a request. This of course confused him, not only him but the others as well. He didn’t waste time and approached.

Looking at the remains he looked back, wondering what exactly he should be looking for. He placed his hand on the body, then just like teacher Sayas, Niklaus’s eyes glowed green, he then saw the entire body structure of the beast.

The muscles in its thighs, the dense bones underneath supporting the explosive strength of the huge muscles . Even the energy deliverance. It was as though the entire genome of the beast was laid bare before him. ’This is fascinating, I wonder...’

Suddenly as though possessed by his thought, his body started to change, His thighs got big like those of the Speed Simian.

A long list of agility attributes suddenly filled his eyes. Daxi and Gladious’s jaws almost hit the ground. Once he stopped gaining more attributes , his legs went back to normal, but the muscle tissue underneath got firmer.

"Yo, Yo what the hell was that, what did I just watch!!? What the hell kind of healer are you?" Daxi was out of words. She couldn’t understand.

"Niklaus, are you feeling ok brother?" Gladious had a look of concern. Just as they were speaking, Niklaus’s hand that held the beast suddenly sunk into it. The beast started to lose weight at a visible rate.

More attributes started piling in. Once everything was absorbed, only a core was left. Niklaus took it and tossed it to Daxi who was still frozen by shock. "I owe you a body, I accidentally absorbed that one"

Daxi and Gladiolus didn’t hear his words, their minds were still repeating what they just saw. They then turned towards the person who seemed to know more about this better than Niklaus himself.

But from what it seems, Matilda wasn’t in the mood to speak, she was already moving forward, She placed the skin of the serpent inside her ring. Seeing her adamant on keeping it a secret, they just kept quiet and followed.

’Fortunately they killed that beast, Or I’d be dead. ’Nicklaus thought as his hand brushed his body.

What the other two didn’t know was that Niklaus had all his organs raptured from that attack, he was still low level and can’t fully use his healing to its full potential.

His physique is still weak, not able to regenerate fast enough to heal his injuries. What he needed was an external source. Thankfully he was able to copy the DNA of the Speed Simian, and convert it into his own, making it easy for him to regenerate.

The group didn’t walk for long before they came across a group of Laeken Beasts, they were shaped like wolves but 2 meters in height. What was scary about them was their howls.

It made the person who hears it lose basic control of their body. They didn’t freeze like The One Eyed Hermit. But it made basic control different from how it normally is.

Under its control your body coordination loses meaning, trying to move your hand up would make it go in any other direction than your intended direction.

Unlike The One Eyes Hermit, Laeken Beats moved in groups, making meeting them your last encounter. "Fuck, where the hell did we actually land! Why does it appear as though we are deep in beasts territory !" Niklaus almost peed himself.

After what happened with the One eyed Hermit, any control skill became a nightmare to him.

"We have to turn back and look for another way, we are losing daylight and we still haven’t found a suitable location to set camp" Their leader spoke as she turned back. They made sure to move quietly.

"This area seems to hold beats with over Lv 5 strength. We can manage those but why are most of them special cases?" Daxi felt like crying.

It didn’t take long before the group found their way out of the Rock forest, before them was a vast area of mush land, as far as the eyes can see. "Still better than those Laeken beats" As if trying to prove her wrong, a beats suddenly emerged from the swamp. With it jaws open.

This time, Niklaus made sure to act fast. With a swift kick, his foot went right inside the head.

"Level 1 swamp puppy killed"
