Even a Wizard like Philo and a Witch like Angel couldn’t perceive Liu Li’s Invisible Hand, let alone the ordinary Adventurers below who lacked Magic Power. Naturally, snatching the Little Divine Lamp amidst such a chaotic scene took almost no effort at all.

Soon, Liu Li had snatched the golden Little Divine Lamp and handed it to Isaac.

Isaac toyed with it for a moment. The Little Divine Lamp wasn’t what he had imagined. It wasn’t teapot-shaped, nor was it a box lantern. Instead, it was a simple, small wall sconce—a short, slanted column topped by an oil dish.

That made sense. The Divine Lamp Trial ritual was the creation of a certain Legendary Mage. To ensure its widespread adoption, it was naturally designed in the most publicly acceptable style.

Stroking the glittering golden Little Divine Lamp and sensing the information it emanated, Isaac put it away. He then turned his gaze to the Adventurers charging toward them amidst the chaos.

"Got it. So, do we leave now or pick a fight? A few deaths shouldn’t be a problem, right?" Isaac said.

Philo gave Isaac and Liu Li a deep, searching look. ’She had no idea how they had just acquired the Divine Lamp!’

’Before it was touched, there had been no fluctuation of Magic Power, no disturbance in the air. Even after the Divine Lamp was taken, the only things she could sense were the lamp’s own Magic Power and the air currents caused by its movement. What an incredibly Mysterious ability!’

’This was not a power mortals were meant to possess. Without a doubt, it originated from an Outer God.’

"Let’s make our move. The Divine Lamp Grand Trial has been announced for some time. The most magnificent ritual requires the bloodiest of sacrifices as adornment!" A cruel smile spread across Philo’s lips. "Besides, if we don’t beat them until it hurts, these wild dogs will never learn to stop~"

With that, Philo leaped backward off the towering Alchemy Golem. Then, well-defined muscle fibers erupted from beneath her clothes, weaving themselves over her body into a suit of armor resembling an arthropod’s exoskeleton. A pair of bat-like wings unfurled, and she soared high into the sky!

The Infinite Demon God Armor—one of the Ten Great Demon Gods Demonic Puppets. It was a composite Demonic Puppet of flesh and machinery, famous for its ability of Infinite Evolution. A wearable Demonic Puppet, it granted its user unparalleled enhancement.

Isaac didn’t know its specific effects. He had only read about it in the Eldest Princess’s collection of books. It was rumored to have been lost long ago, and he had no idea where she had managed to get it.

’Then again, it’s not surprising. For a Mad Witch, no piece of Forbidden Knowledge is too strange to possess. Moreover, she is the Eldest Princess of the Terra Empire—a noble of high status with access to many unknown channels.’

So Isaac only watched in brief amazement. ’After all, that thing looks pretty cool, just like a Masked Rider!’

While Isaac was still marveling at Philo’s Demon God Armor, Angel, not to be outdone, made her move. The Evil Spirit that had been hidden behind her extended its claws, cradling Angel in its embrace. A pitch-black void materialized behind them, swallowing both the Evil Spirit and Angel. Then, a horde of Evil Spirit Followers: Evil Spirit Goblins surged forth!

"A little interesting... but you two don’t have to get so serious." Although Isaac wanted to see what they were capable of, he knew they wouldn’t play their real trump cards now. So, at their grand displays, Isaac just gave a helpless shrug. "Harmon, Illusion Eye, then Flesh Mutation!"

RIIIIP!

Harmon then burst from the nape of Isaac’s neck. It spread its five fingers, aiming its palm at the charging Adventurers. The flesh of its palm split open, revealing an eye and a large maw filled with jagged teeth. A long, purple tongue snaked out and licked the air!

"KYEKYEKYE~~"

As Harmon let out its evil cackle, the blood-red pupil in its palm erupted with a crimson glow. Multicolored Magic Power swirled within the raised Demon Claw.

In an instant, the eyes of every Adventurer charging toward Isaac and caught in the red light were flooded with countless colors. The overwhelming sensory input induced intense vertigo, causing them to collapse one after another.

Some Adventurers noticed the issue with the red light and tried to evade the illusion by closing their eyes. Unfortunately, this was useless. The Illusion Pattern that Harmon had obtained from devouring an Illusory Butterfly didn’t apply its Illusion Technique through sight, but through all the senses, and its effect was boosted by the Mysterious attribute. (Chapter 40)

There were only three ways to resist this Illusion Technique: have sufficiently high Magic Resistance, possess a will firm enough to ignore the vertigo, or avoid being illuminated by the red light. The few scattered Adventurers who, due to their positioning, were not caught in the glow remained unaffected.

However, this did not mean they were safe, because after the Control Magic came the Flesh Mutation!

"KYEKYEKYE!!!"

Harmon’s evil cackle echoed through the night sky, its long tongue twisting with excitement. An invisible wave of Magic Power, accompanied by a violet radiance, began to sweep forward!

With this move, the violet light was merely a visual effect for the Magic; the invisible wave of Magic Power was what truly mattered. Hiding behind obstacles was useless.

"Hm? Did it fail?" Remington asked, stunned for a moment as he looked at the motionless Adventurers. Simultaneously, his right hand drifted to the Longsword at his waist, ready to strike at any moment.

"No need to rush. Just wait," Isaac said with a faint, unhurried smile.

"What is this? Ah!"

"Holy shit! Stay away from me!"

"Monster! Monster!"
