Wizard: Scamming a Demon God

Although the Sea Race’s assault had ceased, the Sea Island Scramble was far from over. This was the Sea Island Scramble, after all, not the Sea Race Annihilation War. For the event to conclude, one of two conditions had to be met: either all the Crystal Stones fell into a single person’s possession, or everyone had to wait for the three-day period to end for the final rankings to be settled.

Having made a prior agreement with the other Adventurers, Isaac had no intention of choosing the former option—that would be like killing the goose that lays the golden eggs.

So, even with no more of the Sea Race to fight, he and the Adventurers remained on the island in harmony, quietly waiting for the ritual to conclude.

Time trickled by. As the Sea Island Scramble finally entered its closing stages, a screen of light materialized in the sky. It displayed the current rankings of the Crystal Stone holders, with Isaac’s name sitting conspicuously at the very top. His reward was the most valuable of all—the island itself, specifically the third islet where they were currently located!

In terms of both its complete ecosystem and its abundance of resources, it was truly a first-rate prize! 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

If Isaac wanted to sell it, he could easily get one or two million Gold Coins for it!

It was worth a fortune!

Plus, there were plenty of buyers. It wasn’t like some treasures that carried a high price tag but had virtually no market.

This was one of the reasons why so many Tier Two participants had joined the Sea Island Scramble.

But even for those who didn’t win first place, the other rewards were nothing to scoff at. From powerful Enchanted Weapons and High-Tier Combat Techniques to refined Breathing Skills, receiving any of them made the trip worthwhile.

Admittedly, because Isaac had monopolized half the Crystal Stones, the other Adventurers’ rewards were somewhat diminished. Fortunately, they still had plenty of Sea Race heads they could exchange for Gold Coins with the Noy Clan, which helped offset some of their losses.

At this moment, however, Isaac’s attention wasn’t on the island he’d won.

With the competition’s end, he had successfully completed the ritual—and completed it exceptionally well. He was now harnessing the Ritual Power to begin his advancement to Grand Wizard!

At the same time, by leveraging the intense resonance with the Ritual Power during his advancement, Isaac’s consciousness successfully transcended time and space. He witnessed the entire process of the Legendary Mage constructing this very ritual!

And he wasn’t sure if it was just his imagination, but he had the distinct feeling that the Legendary Mage from the past had just glanced at him.

’But isn’t this just a recording left behind in the world?’

’It’s not like I’ve actually traveled through time. How can it be conscious?’

But Isaac’s questions quickly vanished, his attention captured by something even more astounding.

After the Wizard in the vision glanced at Isaac, the flow of time within the scene seemed to slow. The entire process of this Wizard establishing the Sea Island Scramble ritual unfolded before Isaac’s eyes. The most incredible part was that Isaac couldn’t comprehend a single one of the techniques being used.

Manipulating time, altering history, shifting phases, replacing Concepts—the methods were diverse, with effects ranging from dazzling to deceptively simple. Isaac could roughly identify some of the techniques by their visual effects, but others were completely foreign to him.

And yet, herein lay the miracle. Despite his ignorance, Isaac could somehow perceive with perfect clarity what powers were being used for each technique and what their ultimate purpose was. In other words, if Isaac could master these methods, he too could create a self-sustaining world ritual, much like the Sea Island Scramble!

Although the vision didn’t reveal *how* to acquire these abilities, the knowledge itself was incredibly precious.

Moreover, through this vision, Isaac came to understand how to become a Tier Four Miracle Mage!

That’s right—he didn’t even know how to become a High-level Mage yet, but he had already learned the path to becoming a Miracle Mage!

The so-called Miracle Mages were, naturally, related to Miracles. However, the key was not in *creating* Miracles, but in *leaving* them behind. The subtle difference in wording represented a world of difference in meaning.

Many people can create a miracle. Even an Ordinary person without any Extraordinary Power can, under special circumstances, break through their limits and achieve the impossible.

But *leaving* a Miracle was different. It was a gift prepared for the world by a Legendary Mage, and also one of the methods they used to anchor themselves to reality. It required a Legendary Mage to take the stories they had previously written in "those three books" and manifest them in the world. Afterward, they had to establish these events as rituals, like the Divine Lamp Trial and the Sea Island Scramble, so that they could repeat on their own.

Take Isaac, for example. If he wanted to become a Miracle Mage, he would first need to manifest the story of *Cinderella* in reality. This would mean finding a maid, helping her sneak into a royal ball, capturing the Prince’s heart, and finally, leaving behind a single Crystal Shoe so the Prince could use it to find her.

Finally, he would need to solidify this entire process in the world, establishing a ritual where, at regular intervals, a magical power would descend to guide similar events.

Only by repeating this process three times could one become a Miracle Mage!

Of course, one didn’t have to use the stories from those three books. It was just that choosing them yielded greater personal benefits upon completion. As for what those benefits were...

Isaac currently had no idea. He had only just become a Grand Wizard and didn’t even know how to break through to High-level Mage. The path to Miracle Mage was still far too remote for him.

But no matter how slowly time flowed, it had to end. As the Wizard in the vision withdrew his hands, Isaac’s advancement was complete. He slowly opened his eyes, feeling the surging Magic Power within his body. The corners of his lips curled up slightly. ’Not bad at all~’
