Wizard: Scamming a Demon God

Among the three mainstream types of Casters, Witches are the most unique—not only because Legends claim they are the origin of Wizards, but also because they are the only ones who don’t need to rely on Knowledge.

They only need to develop the power within their bloodline, and the potential of this power is absurdly high!

At a minimum, they’re guaranteed to reach the High-level.

Therefore, compared to Isaac and Cheryl, who still had to rely on Knowledge to crack difficult problems, Snake Princess Barbara was the most likely to find a solution directly from her own bloodline.

The power of a Witch was just that magical!

However, facing the expectant gazes of Isaac and Cheryl, Barbara first nodded, then shook her head before speaking to clear up everyone’s confusion.

However, Isaac’s eyes lit up after hearing Barbara’s explanation. An idea struck him. "Excuse me," he asked, "can you give me the corpses of the Snake Monsters you summon?"

Indeed, Isaac had thought of his Flesh Transformation Magic.

’It doesn’t matter that Barbara can only summon a few Snake Monsters. I can make plenty more!’

’Even if the resource cost is high, it doesn’t matter. Once I activate my Infinite Magic Power, I can meet any demand!’

However, the moment Isaac spoke, before Barbara could say a word, her Magic Pet, the Cyan Snake, was the first to react. It immediately reared up from her shoulder, its pair of cold, serpentine eyes fixed on Isaac as its forked tongue flickered.

As the Cyan Snake glared at Isaac, Demon Claw Harmon sensed its hostility and instantly emerged from the nape of Isaac’s neck. Its palm split open to reveal a blood-red Demon Eye that emanated an infinite allure, staring back at the Cyan Snake, not to be outdone.

At the same time, it didn’t forget to extend its little finger and gently poke the dazed Shushu.

Shushu froze for a moment. It looked at the Cyan Snake, then at Harmon, then at Isaac. Its developing brain couldn’t process so much information at once. It couldn’t understand why things had suddenly turned hostile when they had just been having a normal conversation.

’But even if I don’t get it, I know what to do when trouble starts: just listen to Boss Claw, no questions asked!’

And so, after a moment of stunned silence, Shushu’s plump body arched slightly, and it immediately bared its fangs at the Cyan Snake!

"Riven! Come back!"

"Harmon! Back!" Isaac called out as well, simultaneously raising a hand to rub Shushu’s head, getting it to stop baring its fangs and return to its dazed state.

"I’m sorry, Young Master Isaac, but that is a difficult request. They are my children. Please refrain from saying such things again." Although Barbara’s tone was still respectful, it was clear she was growing impatient.

This was understandable. If she truly saw her summoned Snake Monsters as her children, his words had indeed been very offensive.

Isaac responded with an apologetic smile and said no more, turning his gaze to his father, Gaia.

"In that case, I’ll leave the research on countering the Black Orc Demonization to the three of you," Gaia said. "Tell Cheryl whatever resources you need. She will do her best to provide them."

Cheryl nodded. Although these were special circumstances and many requests would be fast-tracked, they still needed to prevent anyone from using public resources for personal gain. That’s why they needed an expert to manage resource allocation.

Of course, this was really meant to keep an eye on Barbara.

The only reason he had been able to hold out this long was that his body had been tempered by Magic Power. While it couldn’t compare to the physique of a Knight, it wasn’t bad, and his stamina was decent enough.
