Wizard: Scamming a Demon God

"Aren’t you...taking a huge risk?" Caesar asked, a worried tone in his voice.

That was a legendary Demon God, after all!

"It’s fine. As long as the ritual doesn’t fail, there won’t be any problems," Isaac said, quite nonchalantly.

Caesar, standing nearby, looked like he wanted to say more, but Cheryl cut him off. "Isaac is right. As long as the ritual is successful, there’s no danger. This is the very power Legendary Mages rely on to survive."

But then she turned to Isaac. "That, however, is predicated on the ritual succeeding! You might have gotten lucky this time, but I hope you don’t get careless because of it. The Outer Gods are not that simple. Your success this time doesn’t guarantee you’ll keep succeeding in the future!"

Isaac nodded. Of course he knew that.

This was one reason why no one in the Mad Witch Association bothered with interpersonal relationships. Everyone just lived one day at a time, knowing they could be gone in a flash. Making friends?

There was no point.

The moment the Flesh Nest officially took form, a faint wave of Magic Power rippled outward.

An Arcane Radiance flashed beside Isaac, and from it, Cheryl’s figure emerged. She frowned and glanced at the Flesh Nest a couple of times, not understanding what she was seeing.

Or, to be more precise, she only understood a part of it—the part that transformed flesh into Demons. It was a relatively simple type of transmutation Arcane Art, but that wasn’t the core of this Magic.

The core of this Magic was its ability to operate automatically. Although it couldn’t nurture true life like a Goblin Nest, the fully automated operation of the Magic was still quite ingenious.

Unfortunately, it contained a great deal of the Knowledge of the Outer Gods. An Ordinary person wouldn’t be able to decipher anything from it, let alone learn from and utilize it.

So, after just a couple of glances, Cheryl turned to Isaac and said, "If you’re finished here, go see Father. He has something to talk to you about."

"Alright, I’ll go right now. This Magic is more or less set up. From now on, just toss Demon Flesh into it. As for the Demons we need to create... I don’t have much combat experience, so give me two or three days. I’ll make a few samples for you to see."

It wasn’t that they couldn’t fight with just Gale Wolves and Demonized Wild Boars, but they weren’t that desperate yet. They could definitely optimize them first.
